• I'll tell you the tale of a warrior,
With a heart so big and strong.
He seemed to be without fear,
    Even when hope was gone.
Hed lived a life so full of joy,
For his love was always free.
    He saved some lives,
    Made new friends,
    But I still will see:

The man who lived to protect his country,
A man who died for the peace.
A sailor on the wide ocean,
A soldier I would never meet.

    When I was young,
I was told soldiers were always brave.
    As I got older,
I understood just how brave they had to be.
So I have followed in their footsteps,
And been all I could be.
    But even now,
    With all I know,
    They will always be:

The men who lived to protect their country,
The man who died for the peace.
The sailor on the wide ocean,
    A soldier in a war.

    The life of a soldier
    Isnt only glory.
    They have to fight,
To save the lives of others.
    Yet without the protection
    Of these brave men,
    We would only be:

    The slaves of the countries,
    Children in need.
A starving race and broken nation,
    A boat lost at sea.

    Many people don't understand,
That they fight to save our homes.
    They get mad
    They get hurt
    Or they start a war.
    But in my heart,
    I still will see,
The people we were born to be.

    With a peaceful heart,
    A loving voice,
And joy for all to see.
Like those who risk their lives each day,
In wars they never asked for,
With a single goal in their hearts:
    To keep us free.
