• The ice sparkled beautiful, as with the river it flows,
The tears fell from her eyes, on the ground they froze.

The laughter of children echoed in the chilly air,
Building snowmen with parents in the park there.

She sat alone, thinking how the time flew by fast,
She was one of those happy children, but that was the past.

How ignorant she must have been,
But she knew now, what she didn’t then.

These past few years flew by in a blur,
All she knew is her parents never loved her.

If they couldn’t love her, who ever would?
Living on this planet never did her any good.

The water was freezing and sloshed between her toes,
As she walked in deeper, to her neck the water rose.

She never knew what wrong she had done,
But now with the ice, down the river her body did run.
