Alien Sweetheart
This winter has been......boring....you hate to say it but honestly it kind of is. You had some snow, you had some rain, you had a bit of dry cold days. Over all it's been a normal winter. And while normally you wouldn't be upset by that......you can't help it but dang it you're bored! The holidays have come and went and they too were normal. Everyday seems like the same thing over and over and you're not sure what you want to do about that. You're not sure how you feel about this new set of boredom. You're not asking for anything big and bad to happen. You're not even sure you want something to come and shake things up. But you can't help but feel as if....well....you're missing something.
You try to watch a few things but nothing but the same old same old is on. You try to read a few books but you don't own anything new and you've read all of these at least 12 times now. Sigh, what is a person to do? You look up to see what day it is on your calendar. You see a little note that says "this is the year of the snake". But you also notice a note that says it'll soon be the days for the Aries zodiac. That's interesting. You never noticed before the two different zodiacs and their symbols.You never really have paid much attention to these things before but you can't help but wonder if one zodiac is better than the other.
Just as you ponder this thought looking at your calendar, you swear the image in front of you begins to....move. The image is of a small looking building surrounded by a lush forest and a pretty clear sky. There are some buildings farther back that you can't quite make out but there's a lake near by and maybe some mountains. Seems like a nice looking place. The stars in the sky twinkle for a moment as a heart shaped space ship flies by and...WAIT A SEC?! You rub your eyes and look at the image again. No just the same image as before, no space ship or stars.....you stare a little harder now. Are the trees sightly moving a bit in the breeze? You notice a sign next to the small building...was that always there? It says The Heart Break Cafe. Why does that sound familiar? Just then a small mouse moves by the sign. You blink in shock and watch it run towards the door of what you guess now is a cafe. It stops and looks at you for a moment and then runs inside the building. Your mouth hangs open in shock but you move a bit closer to the image. You then see a young make holding a bow walk into the image, he stops and looks at you. He gives a small wave and then he too walks towards the door and then inside the building. "WHAT THE WHAT?!?" You reach forwards to touch the image on your calendar when sudden....
You're fallen into the picture! Before you can even shout out, you're on the ground not to far away from the cafe. You look around in shock but after a moment you feel a sense of....belonging, like you were meant to be here. You stand up quickly and slowly make your way towards the cafe. As you get closer you can hear noise coming from behind the door. You pause in front of the door, take a breath and then push it open. You are greeted at once with a laughter and shouting as you see two goat like people throw mud at a dog like person. "HOW DARE!!" The dog throws a cup of something back at them. A group of snake like people, all different from each other move by laughing and hissing at something one of them had said. What seems like dozens of tiny green rabbits scatter about the place! A dragon drinks some tea, spits a bit of fire at a man holding a snake who replies "Hey wait, I'm the new guy here!" You turn just in time to see two bull like people grunt and then charge at the other. "I'M THE BEST!!' "NO IT'S ME!!!" A small giggling deer runs between your legs as it battles off some chickens before it makes it way to somewhere in the back....Where are you and WHAT is going on?
"I see you've finally come to join the fight." "Fi...Fight?!" You turn to look at who spoke to you and see a small zurg lady. She looks at you very sternly and gives a nod. "Yes...this year we're having a little.....disagreement on which one is the better zodiac and well....as you can see, some people take this very seriously." You gulp nervously. "All of it in good fun of course." The zurg replies. Somewhere there's a loud crash and people cheer. "IF YOU BREAK SOMETHING IT'S COMING OUT OF YOUR PAY CHECKS!!" "Sure sure boss lady!!" Another crash follows and the zurg gives a deep sigh. "Well....anyway, welcome. We have plenty to do here. I'm sure you can find SOMEONE to battle....it won't be that hard. But I DO suggest you order something from the menu first. A full belly is a happy one and we DO have some delightful hot chocolate." She gives you another stern nod and then wanders off. You take a look around and after a moment of just taking everything in you smile a bit. Well...guess you found a cure for your boredom!
Hello and welcome to our wonderful little cafe. I am Meushi and this is the Heart Break Café. This year a battle may be happening but love is still in the air! Be you born the Year of the Bull or in the month of Taurus, all are welcome here! Mind your manners, like the all knowing cosmic being that I am...I have my eyes on all of you. I’m please to see you decided to let yourself join in our little battle this year. Here we are always dreaming up some good drinks and making tasty foods that your horoscope didn't predict. Please relax, order a drink, play some games and DO please try to not make a mess of the cafe, there may be a battle going on but I don't need EXTRA work to do....
The Heartbreak Cafe is an annual user-run event that takes place during Valentines, though this year is a bit late however March is also my birthday month and so we are having a fun crossover of Valentines and a Birthday Party to me! Our event is hosted by a number of community members who come together to bring a multitude of contests, fun events and giveaways to the people of Gaia. The whole while you get to experience a light role play experience where you are treated as a customer in our cafe! It's a wonderfully fun time! (Just as long as you hide the dirty dishes from Meushi!) This year it's the battles of the Zodiacs! East vs West! Year of the Rat vs Month of Aries! May the best celestial astrology team win!
