Tell us a little about your band, whats your schools name, does your band have a name, and how big is it, what are your school colors, and what does your uniform look like. Remind us what you play and what chair if you want to tell. Things like that, so we can get to know each other a little more.

I am an ex-band kid, I graduated 3 years ago. But I can tell you a little about the band I was in. I went to Rutherford High School down in florida. Our mascot was a Ram. Our school colors were black and gold. Our band was called "the Pride" We marched around 200-180. Its gotten smaller every year though. Its down in the 70's now I hear.

Our uniforms were white jackets with black and gold accents. We had black and gold sashes too. Black pants, black shoes, and a black bucket hat with a gold chain and a white feather. I played the oboe and was 1st chair. I played flute for marching season though.

I'm sorry to hear your school's band's getting smaller.

I am a Dominion Marching Titan, my school is the Dominion High School in Loudoun County, Virginia.

We only opened in 2003, so we've been steadily increasing ever since. Although, this year was a bit of a...downsize.
First year we had a marching band, we had 23 people. Now, in our fifth season, we've seemingly leveled off at around 100 people.
Of course, uncontrollable circumstances made us lose some people this year, but...eh.
Next year we'll be better than ever. biggrin

...that went a little off-topic, there...XD

We're one of the few organizations in our school that actually wins things. We're respected throughout the school, especially the drumline. Everyone loves our drumline. >>;

Our uniforms are white and black, black gloves, white shakos (the bucket-helmets lol) with silver chain, black-and-silver ensignia on the front, and black featherplume.

...yah, our school colors are black, white, and silver. XDD

My school is Bloomingdale Highschool in Florida. And we are the Rajun' Bulls.
I'm still a freshman and I don't know too much about my school, but we do have one of the best bands in school, and also the second largest in the state. We have 256 members including the flag girls in our band. We recently achieved a superior on our FBA marching.
Our school color is Black, Red and White. Our uniform is basicly mix-and-match.

My school's band is the Duarte High School Marching Falcons.
(Our mascot is Falco. xD It's blue) Anyway, Black pants, dark blue jackets, and black shoes/sock.

We're pretty small, with around 45-50 people, not counting people who don't join during marching season. (Small school though, so that's about 1/24th of the school there.)

I am...third or second chair flute. xD
I'm confused on this matter, because though I sit third, the second chair got second flute parts while I get first flute.
owo
Though more recently I've been getting second because second chair likes the first part more. xD
Mmm, I'd actually say I'm second, because I'm always filling in for our section leader if she's absent.
And I am the only senior flute; I was demoted this year from section leader because I'm not a people person and don't communicate with my section.

To put it simply, we suck. xD Haha, okay, we just have out off days.

I must say Rittman High school has the best band ever. School colors are red and black. There are about 40 this year, whis is a good size for our style. Rittman marching band is one of the few non-core bands. We have a strict swing style policy. Sure we don't get big trophies or braging rights. But we give the audience a REALY good show and we all have fun. The rittman band is like a big famiy, so we all work very well together. Which is good because then there is now problems.

Any ways now about me. I am currently second chair euphonium. and last chair flute, but thats because I only play flute when my conductor needs me to. And I play valve trumpone for marching band.

I'm in The Colony High School band, our marching seasons over, but we still have a lot of preparations for concert season. Our marching program has 88 students, my band has 23 of those students. And our show was pretty awesome this year, I'd be really surprised if we make a better show next year.

And in my band I'm first chair horn...or maybe not, lol we don't really keep up with it.

Norman North Band. It's around 150 maybe. Not huge. We have a lot of sophomores and freshmen. I used to be in color guard, but due to shoulder problems, I had to quit.

But, now, it's concert season. I'm principal bassoon, have been since the seventh grade. That tells you how little competition we have. But yeah...

Our colors and green, silver, and black. As for the uniforms? We look like the green power ranger. Sigh... poor design. gonk

Hi I go to Webutuck High school and our band is a normal non marching band. Sereously we do not do any marching but we have a huge band. Exspecialy considering that my band is well microscopic. We ware black and white to our conserts. Our band program is tiny compared to the disterict. I am a Clarinetist and have been since third grade.

Redmond High. Our wind ensemble has about 45-50. It's a really nice size because we're all pretty good friends. We placed 8th at state last year and we're hoping to top that this year.
We only march for 3 parades a year, so I don't remember exactly what the jackets look like...our school colors are maroon and gold, and the mascot is the panther. Our panther last year was a french horn player, but he graduated. We have a new panther now, I don't know who it is.

I go to Laingsburg high school. It's not a very big band, although we do both marching and concert. Our school also has a jazz ban and a percussion ensemble. Our school colors are red and white. Our uniform is big and bulky, red and white for marching band, and a black suit and bow tie for concert band. I play fifth chair clarinet, although I like playing first part better than second. Our mascot is the wolf.

I am In the Greenbrier Marching band. I play trumpet, I was second chair this year. Our colors are blue and white, we had the bucket helmets and shiny plumes and sashes this year. We have about 80 people. This year we had a magic show theme. Next year is either Guitar hero or Stix(sticks)/styx? We have our amazing and wonderful band director Miss Church, and we get help from the local college sometimes, which has the best marching band I have ever seen/anyone has ever seen!

I'm in East Forsyth High. Our marching band is the East Forsyth Blue Regiment, and our uniforms are a navy blue, beige, and silver. We have about 20 wind players, 7 drumline guys, 5 people in the Pit, and some color guard. We're 1-A. I played the flute in the marching band but percussion in class, so I don't have a chair.
