Hotaru hummed lightly as she walked down the darkened street back towards her apartment. Her mother and father had rented it for her when she had received a scholarship to her art school. She was still a good five minute walk away from the front gate. She was glad she lived alone, her mother would give her an endless lecture about walking down a dark street with her nose stuck in a book and her headphones on. She carried a bag of take out in one hand, the book in the other and her messenger bag over her shoulder.

Kai smirked lightly as he appeared on the roof of the building that was making the left wall of the alley she was in.

"A good pick I would imagine."

He smiled as he put out his hand and started raising the temperature in the alley, making some of the leaves of the random weeds wither.

Hotaru frowned as it started getting hotter and fanned herself with her book for a moment as she wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. With a a sigh she pulled the small tie around her neck off and undid one of the buttons. At least she didn't need to worry about the food getting cold before she got home.

Kai laughed lightly as he saw her reaction and then pointed his hand towards one of the trash cans and made the trash inside it catch on fire sending a pillar of flame into the air which immediately dissipated in the air.
He then turned and went to the opposite end of the building and jumped down, three stories, and then started walking in her direction with his arms crossed.

Hotaru yelped and jumped back in surprise as the trash can exploded with fire. The take out had hit the ground in her jump and her dinner now lay all over the ally. She quickly used her now free hand to push the stray strands of hair from her face. She was often teased as she took more time picking out her books than doing her hair. Her mother was concerned about her being on her own as she was a bit forgetful and tended to come out a bit rumpled. She held her too long bangs out of her eyes and stared wide eyed at the trash can. What the hell was going on?

Kai laughed mentally to himself as he saw her and then went into the alley with a concerned look on his face as he started walkign slowly towards her.

"Miss, are you ok?"

Her wide brown eyes turned to regard him and she tilted her head to side as she saw his lips move but all she could hear was her music. She blinked for a moment the let out an oh as she pulled her head phones off. "Gomen!" She chirped with a nervous laugh. "What did you say?" She was almost glad it was so hot her skin was flushed or he would see her blush from her little moment of forgetfulness.

Kai laughed lightly and shook his head.

"I asked if you were ok."

Hotaru nodded, her messy hair becoming a bit messier. "Oh yes very much thank you." She replied as she gave him a smile. "My dinner isn't though I'm afraid." She said as she eyed the food she had been bringing home. It didn't even occur to her that he might be the cause.

Kai laughed lightly and motioned for her to follow him.

"Come with me, ill take you somewhere, I know a good Japanese place.
Makes the sushi and stuff right in front of you."

Hotaru bit her lip. "I don't know." She hesitated. "I'm not supposed to go out with strangers and I have a test tomorrow." She said as she held up the book still in her hand.

Kai looked at the book slightly confused.

"What is the test on?
And dont worry, im not going to rape you or anything like that its just a dinner."
