I've been thinking about it and I'm pretty indecisive. He stands up for very good morals and he lives by the best rules he could have set for himself. On the other hand, he reads pornography in public, which some people might find inproper for a child. (no idea why right?) He likes to disrespect the importance of appointments and set times. I mean, sure there are probubly thousands of fans out there willing to scream, "I wanna have yo' baby!!" But would he make a good role model for his own children? What do you think? O.o

I wouldn't say he reads pornography considering porn requires pictures. make-out paradise and the other books by Jiraiya would be more properly categorized as Erotic novels and are runaway best-sellers within the Naruto world. (thus anybody whos anybody has them). knocking one thing out. Second you say "he likes to disrespect the importance of appointments and set times" he only does that to honor the memory of Obito Uchiha (his cell teammate who's eye he has)
During Kakashi's youth, his father, a ninja who was highly revered in Konohagakure, abandoned a mission crucial to the village in order to save the lives of his teammates. Disgraced by the villagers and those he had saved because of the repercussions the village suffered, Kakashi's father committed suicide. Wishing to avoid his father's dishonor, Kakashi adopted the philosophy that the success of a mission must always come first, becoming humorless and by-the-book in the process.
When his teammate, Rin, was captured by enemy ninja, Kakashi elected to leave her behind and finish the mission. His other teammate, Obito Uchiha, rejected this alternative, stating that those who abandon their mission are trash but those who abandon their teammates are worse than trash and that Kakashi's father had done the right thing by saving his teammates.
Obito's death greatly changed Kakashi, as he adopted many of Obito's traits and philosophies.
Kakashi keeps his personal life separate from his interactions with his students, only going so far as to say that he has a number of hobbies and dreams that are "none of their business". He also states that everyone precious to him is dead. What is known of Kakashi's personal life is that he spends much of his free time at a memorial site where Obito's name is engraved. He tends to lose track of time when he is there, and is frequently late to his appointments as a result (another trait adopted from Obito)

sweatdrop yeah, I kinda know Kakashi's history there's no need to elaborate, I know you didn't have the intention, but it's a little insulting...actually, due to the degree of my fandom, it's alot more than insulting, I am a Kakashi fan after all. But...I'm not sure....is that a yes? I mean...you practically wrote his entire childhood out there...but....I was only asking if anyone thought he would make a good father or not...

Of course.
He's responsible, he neglects time to honor his friend, and he's sensitive and strong.
He would definately be a good father.
And since it cant be to my kid, I think he and Anko should get together.

Kakashi has his good and bad points, but in the end, who doesn´t? I think he wouldn't be ready for it, no one is, but he would do a good job.

And as for his reading the dirty books... when he got married, if he did that his wife would probably kill him... *evil grin*

If (and this is totally hypothetically speaking) Kakashi were to be married to me, I wouldn't mind if he read dirty books or looked at porn. He's a man right? The ALL do it, so its fine so long it doesn't start to contol him like an addiction, and it doesn't seem to... Besides I wouldn't really have any room to talk, haha. I've looked at my fair share of dirty things.
But that doesn't matter at the moment.

I think that Kakashi has the potential to be a good father or a very bad one. For the first point, he knows what the world is like and what's out there so he would have a want right off the bat to protect the kid and make sure it grew up right and doesn't want to be like his dad, bla, blah, but then there's the fact that he could also be a pretty ******** up individual. He's probably seen some pretty screwed up and scarring things in his life time and he seems like the type to be pretty emotionally closed off and neglectful. All that, though is coming from the assumption that the kid is borne into a mariage. There's also the possibility that the little mini Kakashi is illegitimate and Kakashi doesn't want ANYTHING to do with it, therefore making him a shitty parent.

I see Kakashi as being a kind and loving father...

*Shrug*
It all depends on your view of the character, I do suppose.
I just kind of think that he'd be a little screwed up, and screwed people don't generally make good parents.

Honestly, I think he'd be fairly decent but have a few problems. You know very human like that, coz there is those books of his to contend with. He's good at leading people however that could easily go over to raising them as well.

I personally think he'd do an excellent job if the mother was able to make up for his faults...

I don't think you can know definitively who would and wouldn't be a good parent until the time comes. A lot of the time, people who don't seem like they can be rise magificently to the occasion and those who seem like they would be flounder and mess up a lot.
