Strictly rumour right now, but the news is flying around enough news sites to warrant it's address.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Netflix is teaming up with Nintendo to make a live action Zelda series, described as being a more "family friendly" version of "Game of Thrones." According to the blog post by Ben Fritz, the idea is still in its early stages and no comments are being made on the subject by either Nintendo or Netflix.
Now, the lack of comment is suspicious in itself, and I find the idea of this both intriguing and terrifying. For years fans have wondered what a live action Zelda would look and feel like. We came close years ago with the "Hero of Time" fan film, but Nintendo shot that down.
Also, the idea of making it a "family friendly" Game of Thrones may not inspire confidence, however, if the Netflix series "Marco Polo" is anything to go by, it may not be a goal that is entirely out of reach. Minus the elements of sexual nature, of course, but even those aren't as "hardcore" as Game of Thrones.
But what are your thoughts on this?
Are you in favour of it? Are you against it? Or is your only concern that Link does not end up being seated with a catchphrase like his 1989 animated counterpart?
