Hey all.

Life has been insanely busy around here - if you have kids yourself, you should know all about it (potty training... ugh). But I still want to try to be involved here. I've been working on a character to roleplay with, nothing like my fursonas because I get to bring them out around my husband all the time. You'll meet my character on the boards when I finish her out, so I'll tell you a little about my fursonas...

Izaar, the canine, seems to be part hellhound; the days I am sardonic, cynical, easily angered, always have a comeback, or simply don't want to be messed with, that's Izaar coming out. She has black fur with gray markings like a husky on her face, but red eyes. Before I met my husband, she never came out, probably because I used to have this unhealthy habit of not showing people my darker emotions. But she isn't evil, just prone to negativity. Has a horribly low self esteem, so she tends to take what people say in the wrong way.

On the other paw, Kitala is a feline with pretty simple wants and needs. She wants to play all the time, needs attention nearly constantly, almost never gets cross with anyone because it just isn't her nature. I get a sense when she's out that she expects to be worshiped like back in Egypt, when she had her own body. Or at least pampered. Anyway. She's got gray tabby coloring and green eyes, and I've known about her since I was ten (that's fourteen years ago now).

I always speak of my fursonas in third person because I see them as separate entities who happen to share physical space and a spiritual link with me. When I tried to explain about Kitala to my mother all those years ago, she told me I was old enough to stop pretending and that I needed to make more friends. sweatdrop I never tried to tell anyone else until Izaar started coming out around my husband. He's the one that brought it up; he sees auras sometimes (it freaks me out a little... when I'm not envious) and he said there was a canine spirit trying to protect me. As soon as he said that I knew the name, and that was that. Of course after that I had to tell him about Kitala too.

So, I don't know whether you can consider me a "closet" case or not, since there is someone who knows. At any rate, I hope to be roleplaying with you all very soon. ninja
