More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Theonis, not being good with compliments straight to keep a smiling face but still blushed a bit when she said he did great out there. He knew he did but still it was awkward for him to deal with compliments.

"You eh..mentioned working together. I guess you are right and we would see each other a whole lot more but I don't think I am the patrolling security kinda guy. Perhaps I have the wrong image of security here but as you said before...a strategist or perhaps some kind of coach to help people control and use their ability. You know how I like to think about those kinds of things."
Theonis said when he sat up straight.

"Besides...I don't really live here yet. Maybe we should take care of that first."

"I won't make you do field work if you don't want to.". She smiled at the thought of being a coach, "You would make a great coach, even teach metas how to use their power in ways they haven't thought of.

So, you want to move here? I thought you have a place already." not that she have any complaints about that.

"I haven't even slept there. Nobody lived in that apartment so I took it. But I can assure you that this place is way better. Has better well...everything actually. Beats a run down apartment. Also has a much better view." Theonis said, his last comment referring to Trinity.

"I think a coach would be a good idea. Perhaps I could also help devising some tactics in case this place gets attacked by Daedelus though I am sure there are already plenty of those."

Annie nodded, "Playing it cool in relation to Dr. Berchant was exactly what I did for over two years when I was in Daedalus HQ. It was the only way they were going to let me see my son long enough for him to know me as his mother."

She clenched her fist and muttered, "Berchant better give me a good reason not to turn his insides into jelly though: I've been dreaming about doing that since he became responsible for my "case"."

Pushing a strand of auburn hair behind her ear she sighed and muttered under her breath, "Berchant has some balls to come out and meet me personally though... then again he always did."

Shane releases the man's neck and hisses, "You will continue with the mission. If you so much as sneeze wrong I'll know because I know everything your partner knew. Co-operate and you may live long enough to get a new change of pants."

Shane turns around and sits back in the captain's chair.

Less than an hour later, they leave the countryside and arrive in the next city between Knoxburg and their destination. They pull into the rear wing of what looks like a normal office building. But much like Ray's building, and Valhalla, it has a large basement.

Everyone goes well, the EMT valuing his life too much to try anything tricky. He steps out of the vehicle as two armed guards approach. One makes a comment about him having pissed himself, and they both laugh at the EMT's expense.

One goes over to the passenger side and looks at Annie. "You must be Ms. Soulsmith. We're taking you to see Dr. Berchant this moment. He's been very eager to see you."

There is some movement in the back of the box where the other guard went. He steps out of the back and looks at the one by Annie. "There's no one back here. The medic must've gotten off earlier."

The first one steps back at the second one opens the door and takes Annie by the arm. He looks directly into her eyes and says, "C'mon, we've got business to take care of." For split second the man's eyes seem to change color, then back again.

"I am no more alive in here then you are inside that shell of yours." Angel spit out at her. "And as far as who he is... Do you think I would give him up so easily?!" She growled. "I'll never tell you anything. You might as well just banish me now! Your time of judgment will come! Those who do not fit his image will die. And he will make the world anew!!" A short of crazy laughter escaped from the human form of the mental persona before them

Gidget can't help but smirk. "Banish you...you must think I'm that nice. Y'see, you're not alive remember? I can do whatever I please with you. And the first thing I'm going to do is dive into the devious little head of yours. That voice brought you here, it must belong to him. Which leads me to believe that he is still connected into Tansy's head somehow through you. So...let's just see how we can make use of that."

Gidget clasps onto the projections face and closes her eyes for a moment. A line appears on her forehead. The line becomes an eyelid. It snaps open and begins to glow brightly, followed by Gidget's eyes. She speaks into two voices, one her's and the other that is using her as a medium into Tansy's mind. "Reveal all."

Trinity smirked at the compliment and thought Flirt. It felt like she knew him for a long time. Yet, didn't they just meet this morning? "Y'know it's kind of funny we just met this morning and things just led up to" she lifted her hand holding his, "this."

Annie rolls her eyes at the comment that Dr. Berchant is eagerly waiting to see her. She always thought that to him she was a prized lab rat, a pain in the neck, but a prized lab rat none the less. Maybe that was why he was looking forward to seeing her again, he missed his lab rat.

As Annie pondered that, she felt her arm taken by one of the guards and she winces at his touch until she notices his eyes shift colors. Shane? Head held high she said calmly but sarcastically, "That's so sweet Dr. Berchant missed me."

The first guard leads the way as Shane plays bad guy and keeps a fake grip on Annie's arm. They go into a small interrogation room. Complete with two chairs, a table, and two way mirror.

To the first guard's surprise, and Shane's, the room is empty save for the furniture. The first guard says, "Doc must've stepped out to take a leak or something." He looks at Shane and barks an order to stay put and watch the prisoner. Shane salutes and watches as the man leaves.

Shane knows that the Doc probably isn't in the bathroom. Through the two way mirror he can feeling one living person. He waves his weapon in front of Annie, motioning toward the table. "Sit down, the Doc will be here any minute. Don't try any funny stuff." He says the first sentence while looking at Annie and motioning his eyes at the two way mirror

Annie raised a brow at Shane and sat down, crossing her legs, her fingers tapping the table. She stared at her reflection when suddenly the two way mirror rolled up revealing a glass window behind it stood a man in his early thirties with black hair and cold blue eyes that studied her as if she was an insect.

"Dr. Berchant," muttered Annie under her breath, still tapping her fingers on the table.

A speaker in the corner of the room turned on and Dr. Berchant's voice came out clearly, "Ms. Annabella Soulsmith, what a pleasure it is to see you again. I thought that you had abbandoned the Daedalus Project for good."

"You know I wouldn't do that," Annie replied. "Not as long as you have my son."

"Yes, yes," Dr. Berchant laughed. "You always were the maternal one. Surprising considering your general disregard for life in other aspects. Speaking of those with disregard to lives, where is Shane Morris? Daedalus is willing to hand your son over to you in exchange for you to hand over Shane Morris."

Annie raised a brow and glanced over at Shane, it was tempting but there would be a catch, "Just for the Daedalus Project to hunt us down, no thank-you."

"Well...actually we met yesterday but didn't really got to talk then. I'm glad we did get to talk today. But yeah..things did go kind of fast. Not saying I mind though. Not at all...hehe.." Theonis laughed playfully

Shane wants to reach through the glass and choke the hell out of the man behind it. But he knows that this is their best chance to get closer to Annie's boy. He is curious as to why they have a more vested interest in him now than before. Perhaps it is because he escaped Valhalla? Do they want to know it's weaknesses?

Shane pipes up, "Sir, the medics said she separated from Shane Morris after the incident at the diner. She been tight lipped otherwise."

"Separated?" Dr. Berchant asked. "Why would you do that? Did you finally get around to telling him why you really wanted to return to the Daedalus Project? Did he not take the fact you mothered another man's child well?"

"I don't see why that would bother him besides the fact I didn't have the choice in the matter whether I became a mother or not," said Annie coldly, partially lying.

"Don't act ignorant to me, Annabella. you two are an item," replied Dr. Berchant. "Or you two were awfully close to becoming an item. Remember I had a mind probe read your thoughts once."

Annie stood up and snapped, "How can I forget: you've invaded my mind and my body Don't toy with me, Berchant. Where is my son?"

"I think you mean our son," Dr. Berchant replied smiling.

"Where is he? Where is Christian? I don't know where Shane Morris is and if I did I wouldn't tell you," Annie snapped, tears of anger forming in her eyes, "Just give me my son back."

"Your boyfriend or your son, Annabella," Dr. Berchant answered. "We can take you by force too, if you prefer that method. Oh how I prefer that method. Take you into custody, have our son in my custody, and worry about Shane later. Personally I could care less about Shane Morris, but you know how the organization is..." he sighed.

"Well...actually we met yesterday but didn't really got to talk then. I'm glad we did get to talk today. But yeah..things did go kind of fast. Not saying I mind though. Not at all...hehe.." Theonis laughed playfully

"I guess what first stood out in my mind was when Gidget and I found you in mid air on a couch." she plays with his hair a little. "So, before I forget. Annie mentioned she told you something. What was it?"

"Ahh why'd you go and kill the mood?" Theonis sighed.

He took a deep breath."Her reason for going to Daedelus...and her reason for tearing it down. It made me want to help her do that. They....they have her son."

Shane had to find a way to get close to the Doc. He was only going to dangle the carrot in front of Annie for so long before losing his patience.

Shane moves in closer to Annie, looking her over as if checking on something. "Sir, something isn't right. The docket said that when she gets worked up her powers start going on their own. The air feels the same in here. I might be wrong, but I don't think this is Annabella Soulsmith."

"You want to give her a look over to be sure? I mean, you know her better than anybody right? I'll keep you covered."
