Just then Kiara saw something flash in her pocket and she took it out. It was the orb that Taki had given her and his face was on it. Another 'O' was on her face. She was being introduced to so many things today, she began to wonder if her face would stay like that. She looked to Fatalis and bit her lip, unsure if she should talk into this orb. Then she shrugged apologetically and looked back at the orb. "Yes?" she asked.

"listen dear im sorry, but i wont be able to bring you that weapon i promised." Taki told her in a serious tone. "Bartandelous has declared war on my realm so i will be stuck here for an unknown amount of time." Sighing at his daughters face, he explained. "Bartandelous is clearly wanting to end our old feud so he can come after you, but for now, i will keep in contact using this orb ok?" Looking over to Mizore he motioned for her to come forward. "Kiara i want you to meet your sister, Mizore." With that Mizore stepped forward to talk to her older sister.

Kiara cocked her head at what he said. "Bartandelous?" she didnt understand who that was but she did understand from his tone of voice that he was a bad guy. "Will you be ok?" she asked worriedly.

In a way Kiara was starting to like Taki as a father but she was not used ot calling him father just yet. "He'd come after me because im the hope for the demon race?" she asked, more of a statement than a question but she had to know why this person or creature was trying to attack them.

Then Kiara heard Taki's voice become distant, only to be replaced by a girl who lookd rather young to her. "Sister?" she asked incredulously. "I have a sister???" she repeated as she looked at Mizore. "Um, hello," was all she could manage at the moment.

"hi onee chan, its go nice to finally meet you" Mizore said with a small smile as she looked over to her sister. "my name is Mizore what is yours?" She asked politely. While on the outside she was calm and polite, inside the young ice maiden was bubbling with questions. how old was she? what had her life been like? how had she met father? so many questions to ask. She was not sure she could keep them all contained.

Kiara smiled a bit of her newfound motherly instinct taking over. "My name is Kiara Sharse-," she cut herself off and repeated, "My name is Kiara. It is nice ot meet you too Mizore." Kiara looked at her younger sister. She looked young but couldnt be more than 2 years younger than herself, and she was already pregnant.

Kiara shook her head slightly, still a bit incredulous about the whole situation. She looked at Fatalis and walked over to his side and showed Mizore. "Mizore, this is Fatalis my husband," she smiled at Fatalis and continued, "Fatalis this is my...sister, Mizore."

smiling at her Mizore said with a small smile, "its so good to finally meet you, here i want you to see a picture of me from a couple years ago." pulling out a picture she showed Kiara a rather embaressing image Taki had taken after she had fallen in the lake last year while they had been fishing with her fiancee

realizing what image she had shown she blushed bright red and showed her the image that she had meant to show. "S-sorry, i did not mean to show you that one, dad took that one as blackmail material after a rather e-embarressing fishing trip with my fiancee." blushing further she stuttered. "H-he still has not let me live that down." Looking at the orb blushing she showed the image she wanted to show her.


"i was so cute back then, wouldnt you agree onee chan?" Mizore asked. With a small smile she then asked Kiara. "Is it true your gonna be a mother onee chan?"

Kiara laughed at the picture. "Why don't you burn it?" she suggested to Mizore. "And yes you do look very cute," Kiara agreed, "Doesnt she?" she looked at Fatalis. Then she nodded at Mizore and showed her her bulging stomach. Then she blinked, "Arent you a bit young to have a fiance?"

"wow you are fairly far along huh onee chan" Mizore said with a small smile. "and actually im married now to him, and your not the only one whos a mother" Focusing her yokai she dropped the illusion covering her to show Kiara what she really looked like. "This will be my third kid onee chan, after i had the twins two years ago." Smiling she rubbed her large belly lovingly and looked happily at her sister through the orb. "we Yuki-onna are an endangered demon race. So we are engaged at age 8 and married at 10. we start to try and reproduce at age 13." She explained to Kiara. Smiling she rubbed her belly again and asked, "would you like to see a picture of me from my first pregnancy?" with that she showed her the picture that had taken when she had been pregnant with the twins.

"Yep!" Kiara nodded, "Any minute now and he will be born." She smiled lovingly at her stomach and then looked at Fatalis and kissed his cheek. Then she turned back to Mizore and widened her eyes, "Third kid? but you're so young..why? I still don't understand!"

And Kiara could truly not understand why she would have so many kids. Elves never had that many kids...but then again she wasnt an elf anymore. And Fatalis had made that happen. She looked back at him lovingly and smiled, "No Mizore, you can show me the picture when we meet in person," she turned ot Mizore, "Right now Fatalis has something to show me."

Mizore smiled and nodded, she could see the unasked question in her sisters eyes. "Kiara nee-chan, we Yuki onna are an endangered demon race." Taking a small breath she continued. "Yuki onna can only reproduce between the ages of 16-23" Giving her sister a second to take that in she continued. "However thanks to dad's unique demon type i was born able to reproduce prematurely, so i have been able to have children since i was 10, but it will only last till i am 17." Mizore smiled.

She knew that it was her duty to reproduce for her people and thanks to her fathers genetics she could do it for them, help save her people from extinction. "Dad also experimented on me when i was 7 to help insure i reproduce at a higher rate then a normal yuki onna due to a normal yuki onna can only have 1 child during there seven year fertility and the odds of them baring a child is very slim."

Mizore then gave a wide grin into the orb. "But thanks to dad i can have at least one more child after this.. And they will all be as fertile as i am." Mizore then added as an afterthought. "oh and just so you know Yuki onna only have female children, with rare, rare exceptions." Rubbing her belly, she thought back to her early years as a lonely orphan after her mother had been killed by humans, and how her father had appeared and unleashed his power against them, destroying a nearby glacier and crushing the humans to dust. how he had then taken her, merely 3 at the time and had raised her here in his domain, taught her to be a proper lady and a master strategist, She had become the leader of his ninja forces at age 7 and had gone back home at age 9 to meet her suitor who she married shortly before the twins were born.

Now here she was two years later about to give birth again, and she could not be happier. Mizore suddenly grunted in pain as she felt something wet run down her leg. Taki saw this and called the medics over to take her to the infermary. Before she left she said to Kiara. "sorry i have to go sis, ill talk to you soon, GAHHH!" With that Mizore got taken to the infermary, where her child would be born soon. Walking up to the crystal Taki spoke, "So what did you think of your younger sister Kiara dear?" He was honest in that question, though it seemed as though the two had hit it off very well he could not be sure. 'I think i may have found two kindred spirits in Kiara and Mizore," he chuckled.

"Wait, there are different TYPES of demons as well?" Kiara asked a bit in a daze. She looked to Fatalis for answers. She then swiveled her head back to the orb and her eyes widened with horror. "He experimented on you??" she asked.

Kiara understood natural births at young ages but she could not understand why Taki would tinker with Mizore's body to ensure that reproduction would occur. As a former Elf, she believed that all species would end at some point, and that race should just accept their extinction. Then Kiara's face became contorted with worry as Mizore was pulled away by the nurses.

"Will she be ok?" she asked Taki worriedly. Kiara had never seen a birthing of anything before in her life so she didnt recognize the signs in Mizore. She thought about his question and asnwered, "It is surprising to know that I have a younger sibling. I always thought of myself as an onlyl child so it will take time to get accustomed to this." She cocked her head in thought and continued, "She seems to be really loyal to you Tak- um...father."

"she will be fine Kiara dear, she is very tough, she will always survive, shes a strong girl." Looking to Kiara, he then told her. "I can see it in your eyes, your wondering why i experimented on Mizore arent you?" He asked, his face covered by a mask of sorrow. "I will tell you if you want me to tell you"

Kiara could see Taki's face filled with sorrow and suddenly, she was angry. If he regretted it so much why did he do it? She did not understand, did he not think about his decision did he not conceive that Mizore might not want to have children? For all Kiara knew Mizore could have been faking a smilero show Kiara how 'happy' she was to have a third child.

Kiara breathed in deeply and exhaled slowly before she crossed her arms and said, "Yes Taki I would like for you to tell me why you would experiment on your own daughter."

Taki sighed. "The Yuki onna were a dying race dear. There were are only fifty or so of them left alive, including Mizore." Looking at Kiara with a sad smile, he continued. "I was asked fifteen years ago to perform some experiments on a select set of Yuki onna in hopes of raising the number of Yuki onna being born so that there race did not go extinct." looking down some he continued sadly. "My experiments were failures, but i fell in love with the leader of the Yuki onna, the Snow Priestess. We got together and had a wild night together. Nine months later Mizore was born." Starting to cry his voice strained as he kept telling her. "I-i had to leave when Mizore was born due to the Fal' Cie wars, acting as peace keeper, but during that time....." At this Taki broke down and started to cry freely. "i-I-I;m sorry this is a hard tale for me....." Calming down he managed to keep telling Kiara his story. "while i was gone, a group of Kitsune demons attacked the Yuki onna and killed all of them but her." Sighing, he looked over to where Mizore was. "Mizore is the last living Yuki onna. If she had died without having a child, the Yuki onna race......would have gone extinct." With a sob he added. "Mi-Mizore, when she was 7 begged that i try the experiment i did on her people in hopes that she could bear Children and bring the Yuki onna clan back to life."

Kiara's features softened a bit when Taki started to cry. She unfolded her arms and listened carefully to what he had to say. She tried to picture herself in Mizore's place. To be the only one of her kind, alone, with virtually no one else like you for companionship.

Kiara shivered at the thought and simply said, "I understand."

((ok now wait till luciferarino catches up and also, make fatalis interrupt their conversation so kiara can see what fatalis finally wanted to show her))
