"Err... walking? You don't mean topside right? On one of the cardio machines right? If it's top side I'd have to change again." She made reference to her ears and tail, "people have not really accepted the way I normally look up there, yet."

"Oh." Deora hadn't though of that. "No, no, down here, of course." She said as she started towards the line of treadmills. "Especially since we're already here. Besides, its no fun having to cover up while working out." Besides that, anything she would have to wear to cover up would probably keep her too hot, not to mention having to keep all that fur under cover. She couldn't have her new friend risk heatstroke because of her.

"..." Orion merely frowned before he began to rest his eyes.

There was a silence before the small boy quietly exhaled through his nose. "Alright." There was always a trade going on through healing, to heal someone to tip top shape could take from thirty minutes to an hour not to mention it exhausted the healer who was healing them. There was a moment of reluctant, the dark eyes seemingly looking over towards Orion for help but unfortunately the older brother had already known the drill. He'd already settled in for a nap. "...Alright, this may take awhile. As some of your booboo's are more bad in some places than others." The child merely said, his 'take awhile' simply meaning thirty minutes to an hour, the small child was not good at telling time...either way, it wouldn't be as long as the young boy would ever make it out to be. Fingertips would lightly place themselves against Theonis's injuries once placed a light source would glow at the tips of his fingers. Holding it in place for five to ten minutes before he'd move on to the next effected area.

"You eh...sure you are up for this? I mean I don't wanna leave you here all exhausted because I wanted to be in tiptop shape." Theonis said after ten minutes. He had no idea how long it would take but considering what was healed so far...it would still take a long time. He wasn't sure if the kid could last that long. Even if he did heal his brother all the time.

"Sorry Kodak. At times, the quicker I get answers the quicker I can save lives." she brought up a couple of addresses on her smart phone. "Are you able to access security cameras outside of Valhalla? I need access to a security camera of last night at the front desk at the hotel here and here at a diner where Shane had attacked earlier. He mentioned it was out of his control and knowing the media they'd only show the part where he killed people. Brace yourself though, it ain't pretty."

Kodak's hands fly over his keyboard like a pianist at the ivories. "Let's see here...here we go. This is the footage from the hotel. Luckily most security cameras are linked to networks nowadays. Aaaaaand play."

The camera displays the man bad mouthing the three girls with no sound. Shane leaps over the counter and drags the man into the back room. A few seconds later he walks out alone.

Kodak pulls up the video from the diner. Shane and Annie enter, eat, and talk. Shane notices something on the TV, he pays for the meal, and they get up to eat. Two men stand and fire their weapons. Shane takes one directly to the chest, the other passes through Annie. Shane's body lashes out at anything alive. He is convulsing and clawing at the thing in his chest. Annie pulls it out. Shane stands and looks around, approaches one of the attackers the consumes him. He grabs the other man's keys, and then makes his exit with Annie.

Kodak covers his mouth at the sight of the consumption. "Oh man that's gross."

Trinity noticed one of the men, his body seemed to deteriorate from the inside. That's a terrible way to go... I'm glad she didn't do that to Theonis... but why didn't she? She didn't seem to hesitate when they tried to stop her here. She felt a little relieved when she realized, Theonis could have gotten a lot worse than just acid burns from his sweat.

"Hmmm... it looks like they triggered him to go off. I'm guessing Daedalus is behind this. I'm willing to bet the media is only showing the part where he kills people in the diner and giving metas a bad name. They've been nothing but bad news since they were created. Great job Kodak, could you please send those to Gidget and I? There's someone I need to look at-I mean, something... something I need to look into." she blushed a little at that slip up and started to sink into her shadow.

"Mhm." Deora nodded. "Unless you'd rather do something else. I can understand not wanting to walk in place for half an hour. We could try some sports if this place has some indoor fields."

One of the older children moves over to a computer monitor and turns it on. It shows cycling footage of several security cameras in the building. Right now all is quiet, the normal residents going about their business like nothing is wrong.

Liz comes over to Lia and rests a reassuring hand on her shoulder. She smiles and says, "If Shane went there, then you have nothing to worry about. He's beaten them time and time again. Maybe he will finish them off. So don't worry."

Lia nodded as she wiped her tears away and smiled at Liz. "I know. Shane is cool like that." She beamed somewhat as she moved out of Kali's embrace. "How long do these things normally take?"

The ball of acid turns into water and pops, soaking Annie's outstretched hand. She glanced at Shane, her brown eyes softening. She's beginning to understand what getting Gidget's body back means to him. Gidget was more than just a little sister to him, he raised her once upon a time...

"They're not going to believe she's a prisoner unless she's unconscious," muttered Dr. Berchant. "That's always been security procedure in moving her when she isn't willing to go. I called a lock down: that's the signal that Annabella isn't going to willingly cooperate with Daedalus."

Annie raised a brow at Dr. Berchant, he was essentially proposing to knock her out. Unbelievable the nerve of him. "Fine, I'll be 'unconscious'," Annie replied coldly. "Shane, make sure I don't hit the floor too hard." At that she collapsed, faking fainting.

Dr. Berchant muttered something about her being over-dramatic, hotheaded, a pain in the neck, and a few nastier things under his breath and ended with, "and I sincerely hope for Christian's sake he doesn't end up like you." He made no move to catch her as she fell.

Shane scoops Annie up and hoists her over his shoulder effortlessly. He grabs his gun from the table and turns to Berchant. "Lead the way, and don't think I haven't absorbed enough soldiers to not know how to use this."

Lia nodded as she wiped her tears away and smiled at Liz. "I know. Shane is cool like that." She beamed somewhat as she moved out of Kali's embrace. "How long do these things normally take?"

The video screens show armed Daedalus troops storming the building with weapons drawn. They fire rubber bullets at anyone standing in their way. Anyone resisting or fighting back gets tazed.

Liz shakes her head and covers her mouth. Tears start to roll down her scaly cheeks. "Oh my god. They've never done this before. Why are they attacking us?"

"I saw the man that created your dark prison and Angel. A preacher named Jordan Knightly. Tansy...you remember how bad Charles Ray was? This guy is worse. Ray works on logic, but this guy is driven by mad ambition. Does the name ring a bell?"

Tansy's face paled. She knew well the horrors she and the other faced when they had met up with Charles Ray. She had been one of the first to break his power over her. It shamed her to think she'd been living in a nightmare this long. She paused to think about the name.. "Vaguely." She frowned. "Not really.."

Liz shakes her head and covers her mouth. Tears start to roll down her scaly cheeks. "Oh my god. They've never done this before. Why are they attacking us?"

Lia frowned. "We have to go help them!" She cried out.

Jezebel groaned. "And what are we supposed to do?"

Lia turned on her sister. "Make their guns explode on them or something."

"Fine." She growled as she turned to Liv. "We need to get out there."

Erin skated to a halt and flipped her board up. She took a sip from the drink she had and continued walking. She had entered the sub district area where not many people lived any more. As many found it unappealing, Erin found it interesting and filled with urban areas to skate without much interference from the police. Though much of the section was falling apart, destroyed, and sectioned off from the public to even touch; she found the empty buildings some of the more entertaining areas to skate, and with her ability she could change some of the structure to fit her need and no one would truly care. She turned a corner and headed further into the sub district with drink in hand.

He drummed his fingers on the table while he sat, patiently, planning, and waiting. He mulled over the ideas that that swarm in his mind while he continued to take sips of the same glass of wine. They had found his little creature within the girls mind and he felt the connection loosen and disappear. Though he has seen his connections with people go away before' he never had it forcefully done. It was something a new and the feeling of it exotic to him almost. Even if it angered him, he found amusement from it, and saw the person as a potential interesting toy to play with. His mind wrapped around the potential fears the person would have.

Shane scoops Annie up and hoists her over his shoulder effortlessly. He grabs his gun from the table and turns to Berchant. "Lead the way, and don't think I haven't absorbed enough soldiers to not know how to use this."

"Who haven't you eaten," muttered Dr. Berchant under his breath. Speaking up, Dr. Berchant said, "John Gills, my student is currently here in one of the labs. If the lab is deserted you can consume him there, if not you can consume him in the vehicle headed to Daedalus HQ."

At that he pushed his finger into a fingerprint reading lock, and the door opened. Several guards rushed down the hall to meet him. "Are you okay sir?" Seeing Dr. Berchant's now bruised cheek some of them snickered but they fell silent when they spotted Shane carrying Annie.

"One casualty," Dr. Berchant said casually, "but we got her. I'm moving her to HQ if that is okay with you men?"

"Yeah, sure, it's your case," said one of the guards.

"Thank-you," Dr. Berchant said. Motioning to Shane he said, "If you'll come with me, please."

Trinity went to check on Theonis. From a dark corner she saw that he was still being healed and if anyone who looked in the dark corner they'd see a pair of glowing green eyes that seem to be longing for him. They faded into the darkness she emerged from the ATM. She looked at the thing and was surprised that it still worked considering it was in the middle of nowhere, it was probably hooked up with underground wiring.

Her attention was drawn as she heard a large explosion. She saw that not far from where she was there were Daedalus agents all over it. Have they gone mad?! Immediately she sends a text to her captain and her coordinates [need back up] she drops into her shadow and emerged from the dark side of the building she hit the right points on the guard that was near by then dropped him in his shadow, he emerged behind one of the vehicles she saw. why are they attacking a a safe house for? Need to take out a few before I make my entrance... Shadow hands come out and pull a few soldiers that were in the back and near the wall knocking them out by hitting their head hard enough.

When she felt enough of them down, her voice came from the shadows of the room, it seemed to move from one side or the other. "Enough! Is this how Daedalus spends its spare time?! Scaring those seeking refuge?"

Justine sighed softly as she laid in the darkness of her room, her eyes wide open, her head throbbing some the almost non-existence whirling of her new eyes. Just a little while longer. She tilted her head to the side as let her mind wander.
