Keleth tightened her grip on her weapon and charged in. She spun once to increase the centrifugal force of the hammer and drove it's head toward the opening that Trinity had made.

Leo and the others were in fact not doing anything. The two women did have the right idea but they knew it would not work. They might be able to draw some blood but that would only be like a scratch. The best of lessons are often taught by nature and they were going to have them learn that lesson.

Keleth's hammer connected with the shadow nail. The beast roared and violently shook them off of him. It stung a little where Keleth struck but did not further damage than that. It ran towards Keleth and spun itself around to use its tail to strike.

Leo looked at the other hunters and nodded. They would take action soon. They knew the girl was tough enough. She was one of their own after all. Even if she wasn't trained that would not kill her. Hurt? Yes. Break a few bones? Most definitely. But not kill her.

Alec's attempt at hypnosis had failed, but he could still lend his aid. He could read the diver's intention. He summoned a strong pocket of wind that would hopefully either shield Keleth or push her back from the coming strike.

Keleth was reeling from the creature shaking her off. She didn't understand. She had shattered boulders with her hammer, why was this thing so difficult.

Her pondering was interrupted by the Eather Diver charging her. She grinned and readied herself for a head on strike, but was taken aback by it's pivot and tail whip. She braced for impact, but felt a gust of wind instead.

And then the impact.

She went rolling, dropping her hammer as she tumbled. She grit her teeth and held her ribs as she forced herself to rise. From what she had seen earlier, Alec was skilled with wind, and had probably saved her a broken bone or two.

Ap, nope, she had a few broken ones. Breathing hurt. It hurt bad

She almost fell back to her knees, but then her thoughts went to her father. Her father and his disapproving eyes. He never believed in her. She was only good for tending to the land.

Her jovial grin was gone. Now she showed the determination of a warrior.

The hammer was between her and the Diver. She had to prove her metal if she was going to be of any help to Trinity. She studied the diver to see what it would do next.

"And that's why you have to listen to others, Ruby." Nova told his daughter who seemed to be enjoying this more and more. He had to admit it looked painful but the others of her kind did not seem to be worried. They were all warriors who know the limits of their bodies even if Keleth did not know hers, they knew she could take it.

"Heh" Leo simply chuckled as he saw the look her face. Now she was ready. He took in a deep breath and the trio moved in perfect unison towards the Earth Diver. They had to immobilize it. Two of them stuck their spears into the ground as they didn't have need of it for their roles. The Earth Diver saw them running at him and turned his attention towards them. Not ignoring Keleth either but right now she was not it's priority.

Within the Necromancer's layer a blonde woman sleeps with what she considers her ultimate trophy around her neck. The symbol of Lord Saturn sought its opportunity when it found the leather strap it hung from unfaceted it dropped so heavily on the floor. Then bounced like a coin under the bed, waiting. Waiting to reveal its shimmer to another pawn that will draw it back to is rightful owner.

Due to its dismay, this caused the woman to wake up. She felt something was missing. She looked to the side of the bed and then under it and told the chocker, "Ah hah, not getting away that easy." She placed it on around her neck looked to the mirror to make herself more presentable. She made her way to the Necromancer's chamber and caught him looking at what was going on with his primary target and the earth diver. Something about it drew her near the vision displayed. "Wh-what are you looking at boss?"

The necromancer groaned at the sound of the woman's voice. He despised being called boss, but he was more interested in what was happening in the land of the Dragon-kin.

"Hnn, Trinity and her band of surpisingly gifted misfits are trying to wrangle an Earth Diver along with some of the locals"

Alec winced in empathy as Keleth rolled on the ground. She was obviously hurt, but there was little he could do against the earth diver. There wasn't enough vegetation to summon binding vines, and it would be highly resistant to wind.

He looked around the scene to see if there was a way to assist. Then he saw Keleth's fallen hammer. An idea struck him and he begun to focus on the air around the weapon. He started to slowly circle his arms horizontally, summoning a small gust of a cyclone beneath her hammer. He could feel the resistance and realized the hammer was heavier than he was expecting. It was going to take more time to summon up the necessary wind to move it to her.
He hoped the other Dragon-kin could keep the beast busy for a bit longer.

Trinity's head was sore trying to concentrate the shadows into a nail Keleth could hit. She saw where she landed and where her hammer landed as well. Movement caught her eyes it seemed as though the hammer was moving toward her somehow. Then she noticed Alec trying to move it toward her she nodded toward him then looked to her hammer and have its shadow form into a hand which stretched out to give the hammer to her while the Earth Diver was occupied by Leo and the other hunters. She reminded her of herself at one point in life and knowing that look of determination meant that she was more focused.

Keleth, you got this she thought as she looked to her. She watched the way the Earth Diver fought.

Normally Shara would roll her eyes and start wondering away but something drew her closer. She tripped and fell toward the mirror framed in bones. She was able to not break the thing but found Trinity's charm was glued to the mirror as if it were a modern day magnet to the refrigerator.
"What's with this thing? I'm stuck!"

Keleth saw her hammer come flying. She grit her teeth and steeled herself for the coming impact of catching that thing with broken ribs. She put her arms out and caught it while bending her arms to minimize the impact. Her heels dug into the dirt from the weight of the hammer, and her ribs certainly felt it. Her knees shook from the pain, threatening to give out. This only served to fire her up, and she swung the hammer into a ready position.

That thing was considerably stronger than she had anticipated, but she noticed that it was at it's most dangerous when it had momentum to work with. She watched her kin move into position, and considered her options:

1. Go in with them and risk injuring them with the hammer.

2. Leave the hammer behind and try to muscle the thing along with them in spite of her injuries.

3. Trust the experience of her brethren, stay back, and wait for her moment to work with them.

Three, definitely three.

She carefully moved closer to the action, but exercised enough caution to not get in the way.

"What's with this thing? I'm stuck!"

The necromancer gasped through clenched teeth in anticipation of his viewing mirror breaking from the daft woman's impact. When he saw that it was okay, and that she was stuck to it, he shouted, "Damned fool! Had you broken that, I would have broken your soul!"

He hunched down and pulled at the charm. He was surprised to find out that it wasn't so easy. He looked over his shoulder and called out, "You two, come here and pull her from the mirror."

At his command, two of his skeleton guards put their weapons down and awkwardly lanked toward them.

While they approached he looked down at the charm and noticed that it looked a lot like the one that Trinity had around her neck.

"Shara, where did you get this?" he asked the damned fool.

Shara grinned a little. He had no idea what her trophy was. "Pardon, my Lord Necromancer" she graciously bowed, "you did say and I quote, 'I have no need for her accessories.' Thought you wouldn't be interested so I kept it for myself. So that I can dangle it in front of her. It is all she has left of him, her Lord Saturn. Based on all the times you've sent me to observe her she holds this dear to her heart. How she adored her lord y'know the one you crucified and chopped of his head. Oh what sadness this brought, what dispair that brought her if only I was there to indulge in it. Bask in the moment you broke her."

"But this choker…" she mused, "even now note how she rubs her neck wishing she could caress the crest her Lord gave her. A crest which combined his seal with hers. It represented the closest thing she had in a relationship and now it's gone. Gone because she practically gave it to me when she ripped it off her neck which in turn burned my fingers with holy magic when I was trying to pull her down into the earth's soil."
"In short, I got this from Trinity herself. I saw opportunity and took it." she pulled it close to her as she said that last part. Little did she know that it was imbued by blessings of the gods to channel Trinity's holy energy.

Which little does Trinity know was the rarest and pure holy that can destroy the Necromancer that stood in front of Shara. Using the borrowed power of the goddess within her not only was not good for her body, for the most part it was the ambient noise of the orchestra and all Trinity needed to be was the pure sound of the flute that rises above it all. An instrument she had yet to master to ever be ready to face him.

The necromancer leaned in and studied the trinket carefully. Though he wouldn't admit it to Shara, he had been hasty regarding something so valuable to his nemesis. Perhaps there was a way to use it to separate Trinity from the others?

"Shara, what has been the problem with claiming or killing Trinity?" he mused aloud.

But he quickly interjected before giving her time to respond, "Her companions. I thought we'd need only worry about the ancient accompanying her. Those two children, particularly the Wolf-kin guardian, have done their own share of meddling."

"And now..." he paused as he looked up at the viewing mirror to Keleth. "...they will be joined by a Dragon-kin."

He looked back to Shara and grinned from behind his mask. "But you have something that can redeem your past failures. You lure her away with the choker...while I arrange the elimination of her younger friends. While they are distracted, or dead, I will take care of Nova personally."

Leo's companions simultaneously dug their heels in the ground after their sprint towards the Earth Diver. Using the momentum they spun around, sliding their tails over the ground, kicking up a lot of dust towards their prey. They leaped forwards and both grabbed hold of one of it's legs while it was disoriented by the dust. It's neck was not long enough for it to bite its assailants and they took full advantage of it. This also prevented it from burrowing itself. But such weight is not easily restrained. Their muscles strained as it tried to trash around. Despite that, their feet were firmly planted into the ground. It retaliated by smacking one of them with it's tail. It hurt but this guy was build for it. They all were. Even Keleth with the right training.

"ARE YOU WAITING FOR THE SUN TO DIE!?" He shouted at Leo."DO IT!"

Leo didn't need anymore of a sign. He took a stance and threw the spear with all of his might. It flew in a straight powerful line. It hit the bottom of a scale right above his neck causing it to break of. The beast roared but it didn't seem to hurt it.

"Keleth! Hit it!" He called out to the young warrior. The man reached out to the second spear was embedded in the ground. Taking another throwing stance he waited for her to run towards it. Timing it right he threw the spear when she was close enough. It would hit the beast in the same spot again. All she had to do was hit it with her hammer.
