Well, that's not the only great classic set for a remake. Stallone is making another Rambo, Predator is set to be remade, their re-doing He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, their (this one will upset Vince) revamping the Crow movies, and yet another Dracula movie as if we didn't have enough of those already. Their also redoing Romancing the Stones and They Live.

Plus, Fox now has the movie rights for Narnia and the Voyages of the Dawn Treader. Most of the cast from Caspian will come back, not not everyone as one or two were under Disney contracts. Also, their now casting for Resident Evil 4. It will filmed in Tokyo and Alaska.

Also, click here for the Bumble Bee and Soundwave toys from the Transformers 2 movie. Though they may be toys, you can see how they will look in the movies.

Also, the lawsuit over the Watchman is over. Warner Brothers made a bad settlement giving Fox a lot of power over them. And now Marvel is being sued by Stan Lee Media for $75 Million. They claim that when Stan sued Marvel a few years back over the Marvel movies revenue, Stan promised the shareholders a large cut. Stan won but never gave the shareholders anything. This now means lower budgets for Iron Man2, Thor, Hulk 2, Avengers, and other Marvel movies till the lawsuit is over.

Plus, while doing stunt rehearsals for the next Harry Potter movie, an accident happened and the stuntman was seriously hurt. Well doing a flying sequence, he was prematurely hit with a blast which was part of the stunt. He was awake after crashing to the ground, but claimed he couldn't fill anything from the waist down.

I don't know if you'll be interested but they've made the book "Let The Right One In" into a film! I think it'll be subtitled but it's coming out over here on the 10th of April.

Let The Right One In is an amazing book.

I've wikipedia-d Let The Right One In, because my explanation sucks:

Let the Right One In (Swedish: Låt den rätte komma in), also known as Let Me In, is a 2004 vampire fiction novel by Swedish writer John Ajvide Lindqvist. The story centers on the relationship between a 12-year-old boy, Oskar, and a 200-year-old vampire child, Eli. It takes place in Blackeberg, a working class suburb of Stockholm, in the early '80s. The book focuses on the darker side of humanity, dealing with issues such as bullying, drugs, theft, *****, prostitution and murder as well as the obvious supernatural themes.

I can't believe they're going to re-make It. I've never seen it but I know a few people who are terrified of Clowns because if it (hence the reason I haven't seen it).

Here's some sad news

Actor Ron Silver, who won a Tony Award as a take-no-prisoners Hollywood producer in David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow" and did a political about-face from loyal Democrat to Republican activist after the Sept. 11 attacks, died Sunday at the age of 62.

"Ron Silver died peacefully in his sleep with his family around him early Sunday morning" in New York City, said Robin Bronk, executive director of the Creative Coalition, which Silver helped found. "He had been fighting esophageal cancer for two years."

Silver, an Emmy nominee for a recurring role as a slick strategist for liberal President Jed Bartlet on "The West Wing," had a long history of balancing acting with left-leaning social and political causes.

His big-screen credits included Ali, Reversal of Fortune, Enemies: A Love Story, Silkwood, Semi-Tough and Timecop.

Also, Sam Raimi talks a bit about the new Spiderman film

Both MTV and IGN talked to director Sam Raimi on Sunday about Spider-Man 4, which just received a release date of May 6, 2011 last week.

Raimi says that he and the production team are "in the earliest stages of working with the writer, trying to work out a story." He added that they are just working on the fourth installment and not also a fifth film. Previous reports had claimed that Sony Pictures would be making the fourth and fifth movies at the same time, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

The helmer said that they are closing in on Spider-Man's adversary or adversaries for the fourth pic. "All the characters or villains or villains, whatever we decide to do will be from Stan Lee's creations or those that came after him," he said.

And will Kirsten Dunst return as Mary Jane Watson? If it was up to Raimi, definitely: "I’m hoping she'll be in it and I'm planning on having a story with her in it... It wouldn't be the Spider-Man series without her."

Another sad note on the "The Karate Kid" remake. First, I loved the classic movie. Now, they have Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan cast in it. Great, I like Jackie and Jaden doesn't seem that bad so far. But now they claim "It's not a remake. It will borrow some elements from the original, but it's not a remake." To prove this, they have renamed the new one, "The Kung Fu Kid". Yeah, that will make a major difference and prove how supurior they are.

eek

stare

sweatdrop

evil

scream

Do they think we're stupid or what, because that's the only reason I can see for this bonehead move on what might be a good remake.

Here's something really stupid about the "Arg" club. On March 31st, a unfinished copy of X-Men: Wolverine was leaked online, and within a few hours, Hundreds of thousands of downloads of the unfinished movie was downloaded. From what I understand, the copy of the film that made its way online did not have the majority of its visual effects complete, had missing scenes and a temporary audio/music track. Then most of the idiots that downloaded the movie went and put reviews online about the unfinished, stolen movie. eek

Now, Fox was nice and had the movie reviews removed, then sent out a letter throu their lawyers saying that "The source of the initial leak and any subsequent postings will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” I like torrents, they have their pluses, but their easily tracked. So everyone that downloaded it and posted a review about are known to Fox, Fox's layers, and the FBI sure has to know if Fox does. lol

Yap, I'm glad when I heard that a copy leaked, I left it alone. biggrin

Likewise! I personally don't want to see a half-finished film though, I'd rather just wait until it comes out. I'm the same with pirate copies, but to be fair that's because all the ones I've ever seen have been really bad, cut out scenes etc.

I also heard about the Origin's thing on the radio and it was saying that they know who has which edit or something like that, so basically they know who did it.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 04, 2009 8:02 am
Yeah, I'm sure they do. But if you read the comments on the screen rant link I posted, their debating if Fox themselves posted the old copy of Wolverine as a way to give free publicity to the film. If they did, no one will be prosecuted, but I don't think they did. It's not like Fox can't afford to put the money out there and they already have a major fan base that wants to see the movie. In releasing this older copy, they just piss them off.

Also, Justin Chatwin said in an interview that a squeal to the drangonball movie is already written and he signed on for three movies. He claims that the second script is much better then the first film because this one's just an introduction to the characters. Do I believe him, not sure yet. Do I believe fox made a good version of the film, no even if it meant the world was going to be destroyed.

Lol. I didn't click the link because my laptop always takes yonks to load them and I had to post on the go.

And I do hope they have a better script for the future DragonBalls. I read on gaia somewhere that the film is dragonball and not dragonballZ which is why a lot of characters aren't in it. This means that technically it isn't the show that I watched, but I'm still gonna go see it me thinks. Same with Wolverine, it's been given terrible reviews apparently (I was told this before the leak so that isn't to be blamed) but I'm still gonna go see it. every single on the planet could say Wolverine sucks and I would still want to watch it myself.

Well, It is from dragonball, not DBZ, but the character list was not all that different. Krilin (I think that's spelled right) was one character from Dragonball that they should not have left out but did anyway. Ten and Cho were also introduced in DB that are left out of this movie. I hope Krilin will be introduced in the next one if they do make it, he was always one of my favorites in the old Dragonball show, a mini version of Roushi.

As for Wolverine, the previews I've seen are great, but that doesn't say much for the movie itself. Good or not, I want to see them both.

Coolio! I'm the same - gonna see both. My friend Lyndsey and I used to watch DrangonballZ way before we knew each other so we had a big giggle over it at one point when we were talking about old shows we used to watch and found out we both watched it. I think the two of us will go see Dragonball.

I read in Empire tonight that apparently Speilberg is going to re-make Old Boy with Will Smith in the lead role. I personally loves the Will but if this is true I'm quite annoyed - have you heard anything about that?
