Hi Everyone,

I'm 34, married and child-free (but cat-blessed). I live in Cary (eight miles due West of Downtown Raleigh). I'm originally from Europe. I've been in America for six years. I love North Carolina. I enjoy adventure games on Playstation and the PC. I guess Gaia is an extension of that interest. I've never done role-playing games though so the social element is new for me. I'm more of a questor than a chatter.

Hi, WoodlandCreature! (was about to call you "WC", but realized that might not go over too well...) Welcome! Are you going to try the Prom?
You're in Cary? Have you been to South Hills Mall & the Grand Asia Market yet?

Wow, we've had several new people join in the past couple months... I sometimes forget to check the Into forum sweatdrop . Anywho... Welcome Everyone who I haven't said welcome to yet! I try to get on here when I can. Most of the time I get on just long enough to get my DCs for the day then its back to work or I get distracted by other things. Speaking of distractions I gotta get some stuff taken care of around here (like get me some lunch) so I best get going.

Not sure how the Prom works. At the minute I am obsessing over the games. The Pinball is my favorite (I swear I saw a UFO!). I'm perfecting my Word Bump strategy. Meanwhile the Fishing game is a disaster. I've managed to hook something and see the red grid but I do not seem to be able to stay within its boundaries. I wiggle my mouse and nada. I need that blue bass for the quest. Maybe my husband will be able to figure it out but that means waiting till tomorrow. He has been in Florida for a few days and my, haven't I been productive in his absence. mrgreen

There are so many grocery store choices within a few miles of me. Mostly I go to Trader Joes for the basics. They do very well on prices and the quality is mostly good. Beyond that I mix it up with loss leaders and favored brand items from Harris Teeter (Tetley tea), Kroger (Jacobs Crackers & Marmite), Lowes Foods and Food Lion (cheese danish mmm).

About once a month I hit the speciality/ethnic stores: the new Aldi (great German Chocolate), Whole Foods (delicious pies), Fresh Market (exotic fruits), Roma's Italian Bakery, La Farm French Bakery, The Sea Depot, the Indian Markets at Chatham Square, the European Market (near the Mall), the Mexican Market and Bakery, World Market (Chocolate) and yes, the Grand Asia Market.

Tabby (claws out if you call me WC but TWC (for The Woodland Creature) is alright)

There are a lot of people for whom the dance game in the prom is not working well, or who can't even get the servers to let them into the rooms. I'm among these groups, and I'm NOT having fun. mad Ticks me off because I know I could get all the items if the game would just quit glitching and lagging so horribly!

Being unemployed, I do most of my grocery shopping at the local Wal-Mart. When I go over your way though, I love to get scallion buns & green bubble tea at Grand Asia. I used to go by Southern Season a lot, but I'm staying away now. Too much temptation. I just discovered Trader Joes has opened in the old Southern Season location in Eastgate shopping center, so I'll add that to my list of places to hit when I'm over thataway--their milk is even cheaper than Wal-Mart! And their sushi is cheaper than Harris-Teeter! xd
I also just discovered Jerry's Art-A-Rama on Wake Forest Rd. & I LOVE the place! biggrin No crafts or toys, just a huge store full of fine art supplies! heart

Hi everybody! It's so great to meet you all. I'm Bttrflyliz, and I live in Salisbury, NC - I believe that I saw several that are relatively close to here in this Guild.

I guess I'm a little older than the average Gaian here, but that's OK.

My husband and I are self-employed - he develops websites and internet applications, and I run a community based website for Salisbury/Concord. We have three kids, and two cats, and we are both just kids at heart. He enjoys playing his XBox 360 and I enjoy playing online!

Anyway, good to meet you all again, and I look forward to talking with you guys more!

I know quite a few people in the Spencer/Salisbury/Concord areas though most of them are business owners...

What's the name of your friend? I may know him...then again, I may not, but never hurts to see. biggrin
