Karin watched his smirk and crossed her arms over her chest, gazing at him warily. Her eyes followed as he moved behind her, and she turned to see, blinking as she found herself staring at the tree. Then she frowned, shaking her head as he pointed to it. She hadn't meant to let him know, but then again, she hadn't been too good at hiding it... She sighed, then let a grin spread across her face. She saw his hair fall over his eyes and reached out quickly, swatting it gently back out of the way. "Well, if you insist," she laughed, sticking out her tongue, then hurried towards the tree.

Once she was almost upon it, she leapt up into one of the lower branches, balanced, and then climbed a couple higher. She perched there, her back against the trunk as she stared down at Suka, still grinning.

Suka blinked whenever she had grinned and then moved his hair out of his eyes. He had not expected for her to do this and stood up striaght when she did. He turned and followed her a ta casual pace whenever she had run off toward the tree and he stood just below the tree looking up at her quietly brow raised again and if he'd no have asked someone to drop his stuff off somewhere then he probably would have found something to do in his bag or something. He shrugged and looked up at her again stepping back a bit so as not to hurt his neck and yelling up to her "Comfortable?" It had always been natural for cats to climb trees but he had not really like trees much for climbing...he looked at the lower branch he had started on and leapt up on it almost falling and then catching his ballance skiping the branches she climbed by jumping to a branch near the height of her branch, it being a bit higher for jumping then he would have assumed she'd ever be able to reach but he sat there on the branch facing her as he waited for a response.

Karin blinked down at him, eyes following intently as he approached. Truthfully, she'd almost expected him to come after her for hitting his hair away, and that's why she'd darted off so quickly. But she was somewhat relieved that he didn't seem angry.

Her eyes did widen as she saw him jump onto a branch and wobble for a moment. She was about to leap down to try and help when he caught himself and continued awkwardly up towards her. She blinked at him in surprise, leaning towards him from her branch. "I've never seen a wolf in a tree!" she cried excitedly. She was pretty amazed he'd managed to make it this far. " Just don't fall... But yes, I am comfortable," she added with a grin.

"Yeah me either..." he said looking down from the branch he was in and blinking a couple times before looking back up to her as she answered his question "I'd hate to fall...from this height at least-but I'm glad your comfortable.......if you weren't you wouldn't be up here anymore" he laughed and imagined what it might look like if her ranch just suddenly disappeared from under her and she fell.....she probably would land on her fet as most Cat's do, but there are ways ofr preventing that. "What about this tree attracts you so much though Karin?" he idn't see much to be attracted to other than t he size of the thing, and the way she acted earlier he didn't think that would be reason enough...but cat's are difficult anyway.

Karin leaned a bit further towards him, claws digging gently into the bark so she wouldn't lose her balance or slip accidentally. "I'd hate for you tot fall too," she said softly, almost nervously. How well were wolves with heights anyway? She shifted slightly in place, but relaxed a bit as he laughed. At least he was comfortable enough to do that, though she wasn't sure what it was he was laughing at.

She shrugged it off, tilting her head at his question. "Um..." she began, then paused to think about it for a moment. "I don't really know... I just really like this tree." She laughed slightly at herself as she patted the branch she sat upon.

"Uh-huh..." he said and then stood up on the tree taking out a small dagger and beginning to carve into the bark of this oversized tree one of his feet sliping a bit but he stabbed the tree hard with the dagger gripping it until he could catch himself with bot feet again before continuing with the carving, having to wedge out the dagger again "So there's nothing about the tree that you like best?" he asked and then when he was done carving whatever it was he had carved...it was just a symbol of some sort and when he was done with it he put the dagger back in his pocket and slowly let himself back down onto the branch looking at her

Karin blinked as he pulled out a dagger, but willed herself not to flinch her cringe away. Her hand did clamp over her left side though as she stared at him through wide eyes, jumping as he began carving into the tree. "What are you...?" she began, voice trailing off a she saw him begin to slip. But once again he caught himself so she paused and kept from leaping forward.

Then Karin sighed and shook her head, eyes following the dagger as he slipped it back into his pocket. "No, there's nothing in particular. I'm just kinda drawn to it..." Once she was sure he'd put the dagger away, she dropped down to his branch, balancing nimbly beside him. "But you need to get down," she said firmly. "You're scaring me."

"I don't need to get down" he said stubbornly as se said that, having moved a bit when she jumped over onto the same branch he was on "But us being on the same branch might not work >.>" he said jumping up to the branch she had just jumped down from, sitting down on it gripping it tightly "I don't see what's scary about it...your tree isn't in any danger..."

Kara Kimari

Kara sat up and stretched out her arms. Apparently, she had a very poor attention span to not notice all the people drifting about her. As she stood, she noticed the same wolf and cat demon from earlier, an interesting duo, and that the two talking about motorcycles were no longer to be seen. As she bent down to pick up her things, Kara was shocked to find a silver diamond ring in the grass near her. She wasn't sure what had happened because it most certainly wasn't there before she'd sat down. Oh well, she figured, I guess I'll just have to keep it till I find a Lost and Found. Kara slipped it on her ring finger for safe keeping and began walking about the courtyard, looking at all the beautiful scenary.

Karin sighed at his stubborness, crossing her arms over her chest as she stared at him, ears flattening back slightly. Her eyes followed as he leapt away again and she leaned casually against the trunk, tail flicking absently behind her. "I'm not afraid for the tree," she frowned, still gazing at him. "I'm afraid that you'll fall. You really don't belong up here, and you definitely don't look comfortable," she added, nodding towards his hands and how tightly they gripped the branch he was seated upon. She looked relaxed, but she was really tense, almost expecting him to fall and preparing herself to help.

"I've handeld myself in trees taller and larger even then this one..>.> just on the inside of the trunk." he said and scooted up farther toward the trunk of the tree, pulling a dagger out of the other pocket where it would be less evident that he had and sticking it in the tree where it would be out of her view, grabbing onto it for balance and letting go with his other hand letting it rest in his lap "Why would you care if I fell anyway?" he asked now trying to make himself look more comfortable, yet it didn't work much and he blew a bit of hair that fell when he scooted over out of his face but it just came back with more slightly covering his left eye a bit, but to where it was not covering it completely...
PostPosted: Mon Jun 05, 2006 5:07 pm
Karin blinked, tilting her head. "The... inside?" she echoed, standing straight and glancing at the trunk she'd been leaning against. She turned back to see him move closer to the trunk, and saw his hands move, but she couldn't see what he was doing. She tried to ignore it, just assuming he was trying to find a better grip or something. He still looked pretty uncomfortable though. She frowned, arms still crossed over her chest. "Because," she replied honestly. "You're my first friend here and I really don't want you to get hurt." She watched him attempt blow his hair out of the way, and resisted the urge to swat it for him like she had earlier. He'd looked pretty nervous the last time she'd hopped up beside him.

"Yeah, I suppose that's a good reason...though it wouldn't bother you for too long if I died since we've known each other for so little of time..." he shrugged a bit and then thought for a moment of how to explain to her what he meant by the inside "There was a tree that I had...changed...and I made it to where it would grow a bit larger then the rest of the trees...well more then a bit but anyway I had made it inhabitable too by carving a gap in it half-way up before enlargening it, carving it into a nice living quarters and then making it the size I had imagined at first..." he paused or a moment before explaining further "I lived inside of the tree...in the gap I'd created...that's how" and he got quiet again swinging his vfeet but then stopping and eve stoping one of them with his free hand before looking at her for a response.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 05, 2006 5:24 pm
Karin gaped at him a moment, eyes widening at his comment about him dying. "What are you talking about?" she suddenly cried out, pointing a finger accusingly at him. "That's not true at all! It would bother me for a long time! I still haven't gotten over my parents and it's been-" She stopped suddenly, bowing her head as she tried to calm herself.

Then she slowly look at him again, trying to ignore her outburst as she rethought his explanation of the tree in her head. It hadn't quite gotten through the first time, as she'd been too shocked at his first words. After a moment, she felt she was recovered enough to reply. "Living in a tree?" she repeated curiously, acting like nothing had happened. "That seems pretty... cool as well." She kept picturing it in her mind, and it really did seem quite an appealing place to live.

He had been caught up in his story as she had made that outburst toward what he said and only grasped what she had said at the last moment before she acted like it had not happened at all. "I'm afraid that if i do that with this tree though I might get in trouble, and then with any other I might just make this one not as appealing as it could be so I guess I probably should not..." he said and shrugged then his eyes jolted up to hers as he had been watching himself for his opwn safety up until then but he slowly leant over toward her at a pace that his eyes beat byfar. "You knew your parents for more then a few hours...and if you want to talk about dead parents...I'd hear your story first for comparison. I only hope that we won't relate in that area" his tone had taken a sharp U-turn and sounded a lot grimmer than it had when he talked aobut his tree. If he had not acepted her as a riend already then it might have been seen as him speaking to an enemy....yet the way his eyes dropped in shame of the way he'd spoken gave proof that he did not think of her as an enemy...but he wanted a response anyway
