More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"How polite," Annie said sarcastically as the speaker phone linking the front and back of the armored truck turned off. She leaned back in the restraining seat her arms crossed and she inspected her nails a mix of annoyance and boredom on her face. She was so close to getting her son back and Shane was close to getting Gidget's body back, but she still didn't trust Dr. Berchant to keep his word about helping them. And working with Dr. Berchant gave her a sour feeling in her stomach.

Shane shifts back into himself and takes a seat. After a few moments of silence he asks, "So what are you going to do after you get Christian back?"

Tansy sighed as she close her eyes and tried to think back to the day that it all happened. She frowned slightly as she spoke. "I went to a chruch... An older one, all run down. It looked abandoned and I was sure no one would be inside, but I wasn't alone. I didn't get to see the man's face... but I know his voice." She opene her eyes a looked to Gigdet. "He told me he could help make all my problems go away. I didn't think he meant to do so by locking me inside of my own head." She scoffed softly.

Gidget's HUD begins to go to work as she pulls up a map and suit command system. She asks Tansy, "Where is the church. Please try to remember. I can stop this before it gets started. Angel knew his plans. He is going to do something large scale and very bad."

Gidget's search finally turns up something on Knightly. He's completely clean. That doesn't come to much of a shock to her, because so was Charles Ray before he shaved her head and turned her brain into a blueprint factory.

"Escape out of country," Annie said. "My Spanish isn't bad from my college years... so maybe Mexico. Maybe somewhere farther." She shrugged. "After that get a job: whatever that pays decent. Christian is young enough he should be able to adapt to wherever I bring him, right now."

"At least that was my plan before I met you again. Truth of the matter is I really don't want to leave you again," Annie said. She then asked, "What is your plans after you recover Gidget's body? Obviously return Gidget's soul to her body: though, I'm not sure how much she is going to be willing to thank you after it is all said and done."

Trinity's assessment of Freya's tactics are correct. When she notices her shadows being slide in half by the glaive, Freya starts punching the flying pieces of shadows and launching them at Trinity's like knives.

She then rears her fist back and throws it forward while making her shadow travel along it. The shadow fist starts to come out when the ground beneath them begins to shake, disrupting her shadow.

Trinity did her best to block them, she lighted up her glaive and used to block the shadow shards away but a few got threw cutting her forearm her shoulders and one caught deep into her side. She dropped to her knees and turned off her glaive. Blood dripped to the floor and she braced herself for Freya's next attack. Then the earth rumbled.

Noticing the disruption in her concentration she extends a kick with her shadow aimed at her face. She dropped through her shadow and emerged from a dark corner from the ceiling behind her. With her weapon turned back on she stabbed the base of her glaive into Freya's shadow then pole vaulted a kick aimed at her upper back then she pulled her glaive in and turned it off while she summer saulted back throwing a few kunais like the ones Freya threw earlier as she landed.

She kept moving even as the blood continue to trickle down and the pain started to flair up. She tried her best not to show it, it would only made her confirm she was winning. Her thoughts began to race as she tried to figure out a strategy of some sort to make some sort of progress.

"But if it came down to what I want to do, then it would be to stop running and settle down. I've been on the run for eight of the thirteen years I've had this power, and I'm tired."

She turns herself around by digging a kunai into the ground to create a pivot point. She can hear the whistle of the kunai flying at her as she faces Trinity. She plants her free hand on her shadow and creates a wall to swallow the knives.

She drops the wall and looks at Trinity. For a moment, she just looks at her old student. From the corner of one stoic eye, a tear starts to develop. Though her face and eyes remain stone cold, that tear creates a stain down her now filthy cheek.

((No idea on how Valhalla looks and on what floor the facilities are so I skipped that. Perhaps someone should make a small map on how it looks?))

Theonis caught up with the guard and wasted no time. He asked where that location was. The guard was reluctant to answer but Theonis managed to get the location out of him. Thanking the man and saying that he will be at the scene the fastest.

" Please tell the others so I won't get shot by you guys" Theonis said and ran off.

The pain was still there and most likely would remain there for a while but he had no time to think about the pain. Right now he was worried because of his bad feeling. It wouldn't let him go.

Theonis took to the air and shot off and great speed towards Trinity's location.
But what if she is in combat and my arrival throws her off balance? s**t..didn't think of that. he thought to himself as his environment seemed to blur due to his speed. He activated his sight and spotted several armored vehicles and Daedelus troopers outside.

Let's take care of those soldiers first..

His sphere formed around him. Much like the one from when he woke up this morning.

"Time to go bowling" He said as he dove towards the line of soldiers that were outside..

In order to graduate her combat training she had to beat her sanseis in a fight one on one. It took much longer to beat Freya in hand to hand combat than it did Teshou. It seemed visa versa when shadows came to play but it took a long time to get to that point. Twelve years she wanted to say. It didn't take long for her to start as a soldier part time while she was in high school. She excelled through the ranks thanks to their training. Trinity wouldn't be where she is now if it hadn't been for them.

She paused a moment wondering, why she stopped. She took a moment to channel her ki energy toward healing the wound on her side. It seemed to be the one slowing her down the most. This wouldn't be an insta-fix but it would slow down the pain. She noticed the tear streaking down her cheek. "Freya, it's me... you don't have to do this... whatever they did to your head. Fight it!"

Still hugging him her fists clenched grabbing his hoodie, "I'm tired of being a lab rat. I'm tired of watching my son be trained to one day want to be a Daedalus agent... I'm tired of watching others become lab rats too... I'm tired of it all."

She let go of Shane and said as if it really began to dawn on her, she buried her head in her hands, "God... I'm on the run too, aren't I? I doubt Trinity will just let me walk free after what I did to Theonis." She swore under her breath and ended with, "I should get points for not killing him, though..."

Freya stands and starts making hand signs, dangerous hand signs. This is the trump card technique of her ninja clan. But before she can finish the series of hand signs the roots of Matron start to tear down the hallway Trinity and Freya are fighting in. Feeling the malevolent force controlling Freya, the ancient meta-tree is attacking anything that it considers a threat.

Freya nimbly leaps out of the path of the roots and ivy that reach out and swing toward her. Switching gears, Freya sees the tree as a larger threat and starts sprinting down the hall past Trinity, following the root toward it's source.

The soldiers outside hear a sonic boom and turn toward the source of the bang. Their headgear zooms in to show a flying meta arriving at mach speed. They raise their weapons and start firing anti air grenades and shoulder mounted missiles. They had come prepared to fight Shane, and that included having heavy guns.

He'd been sitting there for long enough. As comfortable as the couch was compared to the seat of his motorcycle, he had to get up and move around before he started to become part of the cushions. He stood up from the couch and stretched, but what then? Go to the gym? No, pointless movement wouldn't do it. Food court? Not hungry. Ride on the bike? No, it's pretty messed up from the journey here. There's the answer then. Go out and fix the bike.

Ako nodded. That was just about the only thing he knew to do around here. aside from finding his friends again, but he wasn't really in the mood to seek anyone out. So, to the bike then. He gathered his jacket and pack, the latter clinking a bit on contact with his back as two wrenches gently met. He paused just before heading to the door, however; as he came to a realization; he was dead-tired when he arrived, and forgot how to get back to the garage. It was then he spotted the PDA on a table, and remembered it's map function. He'd have to remember to thank Gidget again. Maybe even an apology was in order. He thought about this as he put his destination into the PDA, and waited for it to generate directions. In no time at all he was out the door and on his way.

Shane chuckles, "Yea you should, especially since I was trying to kill them."

He thinks about what she said. How she doesn't want to be away from him anymore. She has been on his mind since that day she kissed him after his promotion. He had initially dismissed it as puppy love, she was barely old enough to smoke. As the years went on, he though of her. Of what she might be doing, how lovely she must have become. And then she came to see him. He wished it could have been under better circumstances, but then those seething feelings resurface. She still had that fire, and she had become a beautiful woman.

Shane takes her hands and gently pries the apart. He lifts her head from her chin with his thumb and forefinger. His eyes and expression are no longer hard, no longer dark and brooding. This is the Shane Morris from thirteen years ago.

Keeping on that track, he has no idea what to say now. He swallows hard as he thinks of something soothing, something comforting to say to her. About how he wont let anything happen to her or her son. How he's glad that they're traveling together...

She saw Freya make the signs. Trinity saw it used before to unleash a deadly attack one she knew that couldn't be dodged. She breathed deeply and bowed her head and surrendered waiting for the inevitable to come. Trinity always thought she'd die in battle and to die by the hands of Freya would suit her just fine. She closed her eyes and thought of Theonis, I love you Theonis... but it seems my time is short now... .

But the inevitable didn't come. Instead light came through as roots 'raised the roof' sorta speak and let the light in. Her eyes widen and prepared to fight a tree and Freya. Lucky for her the tree wasn't attacking her it seemed to be focused on Freya. As Freya passed by her to fight the tree. Trinity dropped down to the ground and rested she closed her eyes and breathed deeply concentrating her Ki to her wounds. While that was in the right direction, she touched the tree knowing it wasn't normal and said, "Thank you..." . She sees Theonis on the other side of the remains of the hallway. He seemed to be floating in his sphere and battling soldiers that way. She smiled to herself as it made her think of a hamster ball. How did he get here? How did he find me? minor questions, she was just glad to see him.

A slight tug caused the single eye to slightly widen as he turned to see who was the figure other than Apollo touching his clothing. Seeing the girl from before was kind of a suprise...the face drained itself of all emotion as she spoke to him. "I wouldn't worry about it, as I have been known to be a disgruntled old coot." In otherwords, Orion was telling Amanda that everything was 'alright' and that she should not worry herself over it. The single red orb watched her behavior momentarily before he felt the sudden weight along his head, had Apollo fallen asleep? It was a moment before Orion said anything his gloved fingertips placing themselves along the girls shoulder. "I do not want anyone to fret over me, my brother does that enough...have a pleasant afternoon." It was obvious the words leaving his mouth was something he was rarely seen to say, trying to say something he could not phrase appropriately.

"Come on booger, let's go I can't have you drooling on my hair." With that said Orion readjusted the small boy who had fallen asleep along his shoulders. Now riding on his back he left the building, that is when the sharp noises had hit the red head, something that startled him and brought enough tension to nearly drop the small boy along his back. "Geh...too much...noise.."The open eye flinched momentarily as took several unsteady deep breaths.
