More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

When Theonis looked down he saw the damage that he had done. The lives that he had taken. If they were normal people then he'd be devastated. But they weren't normal people. They were from Daedelus and their only purpose was the hunt Meta's. No mercy for them.

"Guides missiles huh?"

Theonis dropped himself, maneuvering as he fell. His goal was the soldiers. He landed between them. His landing generated a huge shock wave. Which he amplified of course.

Kerana

Kerana saw Orion and noticed he seemed to be having trouble with all the noise. She rushes through the crowd. "Orion? Are you okay? Do you need help with Apollo?"

Deora followed Kerana out of the gym, but kept her distance from the two boys. Kerana seemed to already know them, but Deora got a weird feeling from them. The older one certainly wasn't acting sane.

Matron could feel the fires being extinguished around it, but the fires inside had done their deed. It didn't take long for it to fall limp and still. It began to dry out and rot before Trinity's eyes.

Freya stood before the dying tree, facing her student. If she were of right mind, she would be goaded into attacking Trinity after the taunt. But the force controlling Freya would not be taken.

She can feel the drop in Trinity's ki, and knows that if this fight were to go on she would ultimately be the victor. But things had gone wrong, and Morris wasn't here.

Freya shapes more hands signs and drops her hands onto her shadow. It begins to grow like a stain, quadrupling in size. From the depths emerge three wolves forged from pure shadow.

Freya had told Trinity of the toxic air within the shadow realm. How anything that remained in there for too long would ultimately die. The bodies left behind would be devoured and transformed into the beasts within that realm. Soulless and without pity, they obeyed the creature that dwells within Okami. The seal allows Freya to control them by proxy.

The wolves open their hellish maws and gaze at Trinity with their colorless dead eyes. Freya looks up at Trinity one last time, and then throws a handful of smoke bombs at her own feet. It is at this time that the wolves attack at once.

She saw the tree fall Damn! She saw her use her smoke bombs which is usually a sign that she was leaving Damn! Then the wolves began their assault Damn! She turned on her glowing glaive and started fending off the shadow wolves. She slashes them in hopes of dispersing them like her attacks earlier.

Annie's eyes first widen at Shane's initiative and then close as their lips meet. For thirteen years she had thought about kissing Shane truly, kicking herself for not taking the initiative when she had the chance years ago, but now... Her free hand reaches for his hoodie, the thing and Shane's apparent attachment to it had annoyed her for a while now.

She wants more than just to kiss him, even though logic was telling her timing may be inappropriate. Annie pushes Shane gently down onto the seat, and she follows him down still kissing him.

Shane falls back on the seat and hits his head on a safety belt buckle. It stings, but he doesn't care. He is enamored by the warmth of her touch, the sensation of her lips against his. He places one hand behind her head and the other on the small of her back. He closes his eyes slowly, savoring the moment, drinking it all in.

For a split second he thinks about where they are doing this. But that is quickly replaced with the now. He doesn't realize, be he has been longing for this sensation for years. Not so much the passion, but the heavy feeling of peace that comes with it. He is glad to have it, and glad it is with her.

The soldiers are sent flying backwards. The equipment they wear only amplifies the weight of their flight. The ones left are about to counterattack when a call comes in through their headsets. They are pulling out: Morris isn't here and the casualties are much to high.

Quickly, they gather their wounded and begin their retreat. They pile into the vehicles the came in and make quick their escape.

Theonis stood up just like the Terminator did in all of it's movies. Slow but steady. He felt so bad a** right now. The only thing missing were sunglasses and a catchy one-liner. But none came to him. Perhaps it was for the best.

His bad a** feeling only lasted until he looked around. Up close his devastation wasn't the way he had pictured it. Soldiers blown apart, shredded and missing parts. It made him sick but also...it forced him to remember the evening were that Meta twisted his friends like a piece of cloth. The evening that he brought down the dorm along with all of its inhabitants. He almost threw up but managed not to. To make things worse he started to feel his ribs again.

Feels like they are broken again....let's hope they're not. Theonis thought to himself as he felt the aftermath of his own attack.
For someone who has a great mind for strategy....you didn't think this one through buddy

But there was no time. He had heard a dull explosion inside and knew that Trinity was still in there. His energy was running a little low as well. Then again he had used his powers excessively for the last hours. More so then he had done over an entire month. When he was training he recovered rather fast from it but he couldn't wait till he felt better right now.

He headed in and picked up an assault rifle that he found on one of the Daedelus soldiers. Never used a gun before in his live but he knew a bit about them. Guess playing all those games did kinda pay off.

Annie moved her lips to Shane's neck, when the truck suddenly stopped and the intercom came on and Dr. Berchant's voice interrupted them: "We have to fill up gas. You two can get out and stretch if you want, I suppose."

Annie turned bright red and quickly got off Shane. "Sorry," she whispered under her breath as the intercom shut off. "I got carried away," she said simply, her cheeks still bright red in embarrassment of getting interrupted by Dr. Berchant.

The wolves fall quickly to Trinity's blade. They fall to the ground in pieces and melt back into the shadows like the T-1000. When the smoke clears, Freya is gone. Her task was complete, and the one controlling her saw no reason for her to remain.

After the wolves were gone Trinity let out a sigh of relief, holding her glaive in one hand she sat on the tree, her other hand on the tree. She felt terrible, she looked down with her thoughts, Damn it all! I lost again! It's been a while since I last had a loosing streak... That's 3 fights in a row I've lost... and 3 lives lost. She really wished she was able to save the guardian here it seemed to be vital part of the safe house. She started to wonder how would she be able to find a replacement for those who needed its protection. The weight on her shoulders felt heavy the more she thought about it. Maybe I should retire... maybe I'm loosing my edge...

She sat there very solemnly and silently. Another thought occurred to her where is the backup? as she looked around, none of them were in sight. It was probably too far for them to make it here in time. The wind played with her hair for a bit as thoughts continued to swirl.

Annie moved her lips to Shane's neck, when the truck suddenly stopped and the intercom came on and Dr. Berchant's voice interrupted them: "We have to fill up gas. You two can get out and stretch if you want, I suppose."

Annie turned bright red and quickly got off Shane. "Sorry," she whispered under her breath as the intercom shut off. "I got carried away," she said simply, her cheeks still bright red in embarrassment of getting interrupted by Dr. Berchant.

Shane sighs, more and more considering calling the good doctor on his bluff especially now. He sits up, also red faced, and clears his throat. "No reason to be sorry. We're just in the wrong place is all. As much as I'd like to continue though, we probably should keep our mind on the task at hand...and safe this for after we get our loved ones back."

The group in the panic room stare at the monitor with ghostly faces. Tears start to stream down Liz's face, she shakes her head in denial. "Matron...that woman killed Matron."

Some of the younger children begin to cry. Larry can only sob softly after loosing his second favorite thing in the world (next to his sister).

Erin was in shock of what she saw. At first she thought it was another drug or mafia raid gone bad like that in the actual ghettos of the city... nothing this. She lost the grip on her drink and it fell to the floor. The contents split out onto the broken sidewalk as she stared for a few moments. She could hear her heart in her ears and for a moment she had to lean against the building to catch herself. "What... the ********! was that!" she said in a higher pitch then her regular sounding voice. It took her a moment to realize she talked out loud and she covered her mouth. Her flight or fight instincts took over and she ducked behind the building. Her hands were shaking and she dropped her board. Erin didn't stay long in that moment, and before she knew it, she was making her way out of the area. Out of sight and out of mind. That was her goal for the moment. She didn't want to get into what was going on. Skating as fast as she could away from what she had stumbled upon, and in her wake, used what she had to skate faster, further, and out of the way. Dips, hills, turns, and anything else she can think of to make her go faster and put enough distance between her and what she saw.

The sounds of bombs stopped and he now stood by the window of the church looking out towards that way. Something drew his attention that way even more. There were small plumes of dust being throw up heading away from the where the explosions were. Jordan's eye brow arched and a sly smirk fell upon his face. Honing in, he felt the fears of the individual as they drew closer to where he was. 'someone new to play with' he thought to himself. Leaving the room, he walked down the stairs and exited the building. Making sure to keep sensing that one individual. Their fears was the greatest at the moment. More than the others had been that he was sensing at the time. He wanted that fear.

Theonis continued to make his way in. He was cautious since he had no idea how many soldiers could be in there with him. His grip on the rifle tightened. Shouting now would give away his position but it's not like he couldn't defend himself.The amount of debris indicated that there had been a battle here but from the looks of it, Trinity could not have caused this.

Not knowing if this was caused by friend or foe, he became worried.

"Trinity! Trinity, you here?!" He shouted out in hope she was still there, alive and well. Even if she wasn't well. Alive would be good.

"Theonis?" she stood up, turned off her glaive, dropped it in her shadow and head toward the source of where her name was being called. It was near the safe room where the other metas were there was Theonis. Despite the fact she was covered in dirt, suit and sweat she hugged him tight, causing him to drop the gun, there had been a moment where she thought she wouldn't see him again, which is why she felt the need to hold him. She sighed "I'm afraid I'm loosing my edge."

Shane sighs, more and more considering calling the good doctor on his bluff especially now. He sits up, also red faced, and clears his throat. "No reason to be sorry. We're just in the wrong place is all. As much as I'd like to continue though, we probably should keep our mind on the task at hand...and safe this for after we get our loved ones back."

Annie nodded, "Yeah and it would be bad if we got too carried away." She said the last part more to remind herself than to tell Shane. Sighing she leaned back in the seat and crossed her legs, and then leaned forward propping her chin up with her hands, her elbows on her knees.

With a smile she said cherishing the thought, "Though, I don't know how much time we'll have for continuing once I get my son back. Raising a two year old does tend to put a damper on your love life, or so I would assume. Even if he is as intelligent as a three or four year old."
