More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Smiling too brightly, she pushed the last customer out the door. Lillith Hinzard sighed as she locked the door and flipped the front sign to closed. She turned back to the store she'd been working in the last eight hours and glanced around at the partly bare shelves. It was insane that all this came from one article. She laughed to herself as she pulled the hair tie from her hair and shoo her curls loose. Black strands falling over her shoulder and ended at her waist. She'd spent the last several years growing it out. Her ice blue eyes spotted the phone and she smiled. She had to call. She moved over to the counter and grabbed the phone, punching in the number and fiddled with her hair as she waited for Erin to pick up.

The girls stopped. out of breath, their legs burning, Lia and Jezebel leaned against each other for support as Kali looked around. "Clear." She muttered somewhat.

"Thank god. I can't run anymore." Jezebel sighed as she flopped to the ground, Lia not far behind her.
"What are we going to do now?"
"How the hell am I supposed to know?"
"Well we can't just keep running."
"I know." Jezebel sighed again as she wrapped an arm around Lia, leaning her head against hers.
"Rest."
"We can't. Not here anyways." Lia looked up to her older sisters. "We need to get a hold of Shane."
"We can't. We have don't even now where his is."
Lia paused, unsure of what to say.
"...Come on. We have to keep moving until we find someplace safe. If we're out here in the open, that robot or Deadulas can find us."

She didn't know how she got into the apartment, but Erin stared at the phone for a moment. The ringing sounded as though it was off in the distance, and finally when she came to, it went to the answering machine. She picked it up hurriedly and stayed silent for far to long. It was as though she forgot how to speak. "H-hello" Erin said, to whoever it was on the phone. She didn't look at the caller ID. Her mind was still not all there from what had happened moments before. Her skin felt like it was on fire... as though she had been violated.... She tried closing her eyes and the images flashed before her and she dropped the phone. Her senses went berserk and she opened her eyes, but all around her was the carnage and her hands covered in blood. Her apartment was in ruins and a faint smell of smoke filled her nostrils. At this point she wasn't sure she was the one screaming or if it was something else.

At the sound of Erin's voice, Lillith knew something was wrong. "Hey, hon. What's going on? You sound-" Suddenly, everything sounded distant. Frowning, she called into the phone. "ERIN! ERIN! ARE YOU OKAY?" She held the phone away from her face as she looked at it. If she didn't answer, she was going over there. She had been there once or twice before. She wasn't sure what, but something just felt wrong.

"This isn't real... " she muttered to herself. "THIS ISN'T REAL!" she screamed and she backed. "No, No, NO!!" Erin fell back against the wall and huddling up close to it. Pike let out a howl of a meow, having been woken up by the noise Erin was making. Her mind was going and the howl rang in her ears differently, playing tricks with her mind as it distorted itself to sound like a baby crying in the distance. In her mind it was a war zone. The sound of the clock ticking, made her mind think of bombs dropping, the fan over head, as choppers, and the light shining through the sliding glass door to her looked like search lights. She didn't want to move, she didn't want to do anything. Her mind was insane, the shadows on the walls changed into blood smears, and bodies of the dead that in her mind tried attacking her. Her mind made her fear her powers and putting her in the position she had saw earlier; even worse than that.

"ERIN! JUST HOLD ON! I'LL BE THERE SOON!" Lillith cried into the phone as she hung up scooped up her bag and ran out the door, locking it behind her. She had no idea what was going on over there, and she had never had any luck with the police. If she really needed to, she would call 911 once she got there. She was probably freaking out over nothing... she hoped.

Erin tried shutting everything out. Closing her eyes and burring her face in lap with her legs pulled to her. It was no use though, the sounds still got to her. She heard the clicking sound of the phone, and now the buzz and continued to think it was something to do with what was going on around her. She didn't want to use her powers to hurt anyone, she didn't want to end up like what she had seen. She knew how damaging her powers could be; especially in those freak times when she lost control. The bodies and the explosions, that what got her the most. She didn't want that kind of thing to happen with her. How could this be happening... her shop just had a huge success, and she was doing well in school. Things were looking up for Erin. The cat knocked something over that made Erin jump and fling her hands out. One of the pillows on the couch exploded and the cat went running from the noise.

Lillith was out of breath by the time she ran up to where Erin lived. She paused for just a moment outside her door to catch her breath before she knocked. "Erin. It's Lillith." She spoke through the door as she pressed herself against it, trying to listen for any signs of struggle or cried for help. "Would you please let me in?" She asked softly, unsure if the girl needed her help or not. She didn't want to impose. But she was worried.

She looked at the door with fear in her eyes. The knocking... someone wanted in. She couldn't hear the person on the other side with everything going through her mind, but got up slowly. getting up wearily, Erin grabbed the knob and turned to unlock the door. She had to be ready if something came in to get her. She back away from the door and stood readily. "C-come in..."She said shakily to the person on the other side.

Jordan stood under broken pipe that poured clean water. His clothes were off down to his nickers, and he rubbed the back of his neck with the water falling onto his head. He gave a hefty sigh and a small chuck. He knew how his powers worked. It was like a fast acting disease...Whether the person was strong or not, the fears would creep up on them on a steady rate for a few hours, then slowly dissipate and it would become as normal and part of their daily routine... if they survived it, and if they did not defeat their fears... Jordan could then manifest and control the fear and use it to his willl. He looked down at his hand with no expression on his face now. Watching the water drip on his palms. Be believed God had granted these powers to him, but it was the doing of man that corrupted him and his gifts. His mission was no longer to wander the earth and help those in need, but form a new world from the very people that God frowned upon.

Lillith watched the door open and peered inside. "Erin, what's wrong." She asked as she walked inside and closed the door behind her. "You're really pale. Are you feeling okay?" She moved to the other side of the younger woman, unsure as she looked around the room. Everything seemed to be in order. The phone was still laying on the floor, and one of the pillows looked as if it had been torn apart... But other then that. She turned back to Erin. "Maybe you should sit down...."

Erin flinched as Lilith came near and looked around. In this state she didn't know how to treat her. She knew the girl was kind... she always had been at the store. Taking the girls word she moved over what she saw were bodies and blood stains. Her beautiful apartment in her eyes were in shambles, but nothing was wrong with Lilith... there was no blood on her, nothing. "This can't be real Lilith. I didn't do anything to have people come after me. I didn't do anything, I didn't.. I swear!" She rubbed her hands and began crying. She wanted her brothers right about now. They had protected her in the tougher situations. Looking at her hands she tried rubbing off what she thought was the blood on them.

"Well... Now it would be part of the Sub-district...." She said sort of absent minded. "Gidget...just.... be careful. This guy ins't like Charles Ray. He has no boundaries." She frowned somewhat as she though back to the darkness she had been living in. None of it had been real. She sighed softly. feeling slightly helpless. "Just, don't do anything stupid just because he can't use his powers, doesn't mean he won't try something else."

Gidget smiles and says, "No worries, I'm like a walking Swiss Army Knife. I have a tool for every occasion. Now, I think I know someone who'd like to see you all better."

Gidget's HUD displays Ako's location inside of Valhalla. She frowns somewhat, and then accesses the security camera for the garage. She is pleased to see that he isn't trying to leave, just keeping himself busy by working on his motorcycle. She smiles again and says to Tansy. "Ako is in the garage working on his bike. I noticed that you forgot your PDA so the lights on the floor will lead you there." She waves her hand and the edges of the floor light up like a movie theater.

"Also, if you wouldn't mind, if you come across a woman named Justine Monroe, please let her know that she can take the wrapping off and use her new eyes. She'll know what you mean. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Charles Ray rode easily in the back of his Limousine through the sub district. He can't shake the feeling that something is here, something like him. Dark, sinister, a desire to further it's own goals and ambitions. Yet he can never find it when he drives through.

It stated years ago, something actually caused him to feel afraid. That was something he knew he couldn't allow. Every week he comes to the sub district, where he feels the presence growing in power. Yet every time he comes close, it vanishes just as quickly as it came. Like a spider that has chosen it's moment to strike, then rests until it needs to feed again.

He sighs and leans his head against the window as his driver starts to pull out of the sub district. He had heard explosions earlier. No doubt from another Daedalus raid. They were truly starting to become a thorn in his side. Keeping his abilities hidden more and more troublesome. If it weren't for the combined efforts of himself and...ugh...Agatha Morris he'd have been outed along with her little school for gifted youngsters.

He turns his head slightly and looks out to see three young women ducking behind buildings. Just as he is about to dismiss it, he recalls something. Their faces, they resembled a few people he knew from business ventures. He hasn't spoken to them in a while, but they mentioned having three daughters. What were they doing in the sub district? Having nothing else better to do, and thinking that it may come in handy later, he decides to pursue them.

He orders his driver to turn back around and go back to where the girls were. The car turns around and approaches the area. He steps outside and straightens out his suit. He hopes that they aren't startled by his appearance. The scars across his face were caused many years ago and had healed, but were still quite prominent.

He steps in the general area they were and says, "Hello, are you there? Please don't be alarmed." He knows they are there, he can smell their fear.

Tansy smiled brightly as she nodded. "You can give me a hug." She laughed softly as she stood and embraced the woman before you. "You're so big. I'm sorry I missed so much." She whispered softly as she closed her eyes for a few seconds before pulling back. "Good luck. And thank you.. again."

Lillith frowned, confused. "Erin, I believe, but you have to help me understand. Whose after you and why?" She had never seen Erin so panicked... No. This was outright fear. She noticed her trying to wipe off her hands, yet she saw nothing wrong with them. She reached out a grabbed them lightly. "Relax. Everything okay now. You're safe, at home. Nothing can hurt you here."
