Nightrunner pads over ot her, flicking his tail absently. "im going to teach you some fighting skills today. this works out wonderfully since you have partner"

Autumnstar nodded "thats alright Tulippaw now try slinking forward like your hunting a mouse, remember to keep all your weight in your haunches, it will feel you before it smells and or hears you" she mewed gazing proudly at her apprentice's quick learning

"Great!" The two of them said together. Then the two she-cats nodded at each other. Tulippaw did as Autumnstar instructed, keeping her weight on her hunches, she noiselessly glided forward to a pile of leaves three fox-lengths in front of her. She bunched up her muscles in time to pounce on the pile of leaves now two tail-lengths away, unintentionally spraying them around her. She went after the one that had landed on her nose, but it soon flew away. Daypaw stifled a giggle. "I'm terrified of you Tulippaw, you sure showed that pile of leaves not to mess with you." Tulippaw just blew the leaves that were beginning to settle on top of her as she made her way to the other cats.

Autumnstar smiled at her apprentice, "so you think your ready to try it out?" she asked a smile lighting her beautiful face

"You know it Autumnstar!" Determination glimered in Tulippaw's eyes as she and Daypaw stood to face each other in the middle of the Sandy Hallow.

Autumnstar grinned, "ok remember to keep your sences alert and your mouth open" she mewed before trotting off into the thick wood, her posture low so as to move swiftly and quietly

Daypaw and Tulippaw nodded, instantly falling into their stances as they scented for the warriors.

((Ya, they're just keeping an eye out for you and nightrunner so that they don't run into you guys while chasing prey.

Stalking out of the clearing as they kept an eye out for the two warriors training them, Daypaw and Tulippaw made their way in the forest, splitting up so they could cover more ground.
Daypaw went to the RiverClan border, by Sunning Rocks, she couldn't scent her mentor nor Autumnstar. Just as well, I wouldn't want them to make this easy. She caught the scent of a water vole. It was nibbling on a seed, completely unaware of the young apprentice crawling up to it. Six cat lengths...four cat lengths...three...two... The vole didn't have a chance to react, Daypaw was on it, driving the killing bite to its neck. She could feel its body go limp in her paws as she took it to bury by a nearby tree.
After burying it, she renewed the ThunderClan scent markers as she began to hunt again.

Once she and Daypaw had separated, Tulippaw started to wander around the forest. Panic began to bubble in her when she realized that Autumnstar had never shown her around the territory. Just calm down, just calm down. Just think of this as learning the territory as you go.
It barely helped her as she found herself standing in front of a pile of rocks, it may have been boulders, but to Tulippaw they looked like mini mountains that she could climb and play on with Daypaw. I wonder if Daypaw has been before? Has she hunted here...?
And just like that, she remembered why she was out here. All thoughts of panic fled as she realized that she was out here to feed her Clan. Dropping into the Hunter's Crouch, Tulippaw opened her mouth to catch the scents of the forest, from pine to oak to the holly bushes and yarrow trees nearby and the....mouse!
She spotted the mouse chewing on a nut by the rocks, just a cat's length from the rock's opening to a cave. Better make sure it doesn't go in there. She stalked around the area until she could come up to the mouse without it having an easy escape route to the little cave. She was almost on top of the mouse, under the shade of the rocks, when she heard the hissing.
It was silent, barely noticeable at first, but as she had gotten closer to the mouse, it became louder. The mouse fled. "Mouse-dung." She cursed while searching for the source of the hissing. Peering into the cave's mouth, she saw it. "Snake." She said it, barely a whisper as she starred at it. Terrified, Tulippaw backed away slowly, hoping the snake wouldn't follow her, or strike for that matter. But it did.
Tulippaw, jumped back fast, but the snake was still on her tail.

Autumnstar had followed her apprentice sticking to the shadows, when she saw her apprentice enter Snake Rocks she began moving faster to keep up with the small cat, she smiled in satisfaction as Tulippaw flowed into a beautiful crouch, but when the snake lurched from the rocks and grabbed ahold of her tail, Autumnstar let out a yowl of fury and ran to her apprentice, she grabbed ahold of the snake's neck and pulled it from Tulippaw, she bit so hard in a mad fury that she felt her teeth meet one another, she dropped the lifeless snake to the ground and crouched beside Tulippaw, "come on Tulippaw we have to get you to Fallowrock" she mewed her voice filled with fear for the young apprentice

Nodding without telling her head to nod, Tulippaw got to her paws, she didn't feel any burning in her body, especially at her tail. "It must not have injected its venom in me." She murmured to Autumnstar, who had killed the snake. She began walking in what she hoped was the direction of camp.

Autumnstar sighed in relive(sp?) as her apprentice stood without much trouble, "this way my dear" she mewed turning Tulippaw in the direction of the camp, "im sure Fallowrock will have some holly to put on your wound just in case" she said thoughtfully

Illusion, nodded as Light showed him the pile of mice and birds. As she left to eat a mouse, he sighed and looked around the site.
Just in time to see Nighrunner and Autumnstar, leaving somewhere.
Not wanting to eat, he looked over to Lightblossom, who was enjoying her feast. Having the opportunity alone, he scanned the grounds. Seeing no other felines in sight, he walked from the pile of food, out of the den sight.. to a large willow near their territory. Sighing, he climbed the trunk of tree.. Getting to the top he looked out.. having the perfect view of all Autumnstar's territory.

Nightrunner watched his apprentice and smiled softly, amazed at how well she could hunt as he murmured to himself. "she will be a great hunter"

Winternight leapted atop the branch holding Illusionpaw, "good hunting?" she asks tilting her head wonderingly as she smiles at the disturbingly handsome cat
