Assuming it's from yarn you spun? It's so cute!
Did you use a pattern, or just wing it?

Yup it's handspun. It's one of the skeins I dyed myself too. And I just winged it. I did three increase rows to form a flat bottom and then stopped increasing, ending it when I ran out of yarn. Then I threaded some ribbon through some of the crochet stitches to form a drawstring.

That's the kind of pattern I tend to do...lol
I've done several 'fingerless gloves' or wristlets as gifts, that just used up odds & ends of yarn - the only problem is when they want one 'just like it' for a friend and I don't have that yarn any more!

Right?? I guess that's the magic of blocking hehe. I never blocked a shawl before, now I'm going to do it with all of them.

I've been sorting my yarn collection to give away the stuff I'm not going to use any time soon and boy do I have a big stash! It's taken me the better part of a week just to go through and pull out everything I'm giving away. Granted I stopped long enough to wind it all into cakes using my new fangled ball winder, but still. Once that's done I'm thinking about sorting it into different bins based on size. Like laceweight in one, fingering in another, then DK (I actually don't own any sportweight, so I can skip that one having it's own bin) and worsted. I own like six balls of bulky and no superbulky, so no worries about those last two. I've always dreamed of a stash sorted by weight, and now that our roommate has moved out and we have space to place things while I sort and organize, it can finally happen. biggrin

Edit: If you factor in novelty yarns that have gone unused in my stash I have much more bulky weight yarn. Forgot about the yarn container full of it that I can't get to right now.

Both are very nice. Not sure which I'd opt for, now that I see them.
