Angellea walked back onto Ria's campus. There was a large gash in her leg from falling from a tree earlier in the evening. She only stared at it, not caring that there was now a trail of blood flowing down her leg. Her bag, which was always with her, vibrated as her cell phone rang. The bag was more persistent as she dug until it came up in her hand. The caller ID read one word she had longed for since she entered Ria high---"Home". Excited, she answered, but her smile began to fade as soon as the word ,"Hello?" passed her lips. "Hey sweetie," the voice said , "this is your mother. Your father and I want you to know the real reason we sent you so far away..." For fifteen minutes Angellea felt her stomach fill with knots as tears streamed from her eyes. The truth came out...and those years...all the lies...and all this time, they had been ashamed to have a "different" daughter. Her mother's voice began to fade as Angie felt her world fall apart around her. The last thing she heard before hanging up was ,"Your father and I love you very much...but we can't-" The line was dead. The moonlight made the tears from her eyes sparkle as she took it all in. Pent up sorrow flowed from her eyes as well as a small shout from her throat. As her tears fell, they mixed in with the barely dried blood from her scrape. No more.. she thought, as she tore her gloves from her hands and threw them in her bag. If no one cared about her, she was on her own, and she would do anything it took to learn to control both her clarvoiyance, and her mind-reading powers. If she was sent to this school, she was going to make the best of it...no more hiding in the shadows or being too shy. Her determination was too strong to ignore. She would make friends, learn how to control her powers, and stand on her own two feet, or she would die trying. Now, "the gloves were off".

Rayna was sitting on the cold, stone rim of the fountain in the courtyard, humming to herself. It was late, and she was clad in her pajamas- a form fitting, black tank top and her green, white, pink, and light bue vertical striped pajama bottoms. Her hair was in a long, low, messy ponytail behind her. She looked up to the skulpture of the fountain, admiring the phoenix a bit. She had always loved phoenixes, and hoped to one day just grow wings and fly away. She knew it was a silly wish, but she couldn't help but dream.
The tune Rayna hummed was a pretty one. It had a soft melody, and it was both heavenly and a bit eerie. It was a song that called out to someone, and filled their soul with some unknown emotion. It seemed like some kind of lullaby to people listening. She stood up on the rim and began to walk along it, her eyes closed, her arms outstretched. She didn't seem to notice anyone or anything around her; she just hummed. It was almost if she were in some kind of trance.

Since Rayna was walking on the rim, she halted abruptly in front of her, the humming ceasing immediately. Her eyes snapped open as she looked down. She swayed a little, almost losing her balance. She then regained it, lowering herself to a sitting position next to Hikaru. She smiled at her. "Yes, I am...just lost a little energy, but it's fine." she answered her. She had made an understatement, of course- she had lost almost too much energy. She was even close to death, but she wouldn't mention how close- she knew she almost didn't make it, and she didn't want people to worry.
"It happened only a week ago?" she asked, looking up to the dark sky as the images all came back to her. She even remembered a dream she had while she was unconscious...a flashback...
Razz's and Ronin's battle raged on. Razz crouched down, panting. She had a long gash down her leg and it was bleeding profusively. Ronin glared. He had scratches along his body, but other than that, he was fine. "I'm finished playing around." he snarled, and his eyes began to glow. He pointed a finger to Razz. "Goodbye, Rayna." he said, and a red beam of light shot from his fingers.
Before she could blink, Hawk jumped in front of her, taking the blow to his side. He landed on the ground in a crumpled heap. Razz gasped. "Hawk!" she cried, leaning down to him. Hawk was still alive, but his breathing was shallow and the blow caused a large wound and was bleeding badly. Ronin's eyebrows furrowed. "Ignorant cat. Just like your brother." he scoffed. Razz looked up and glared at him, her teeth bared. She then ran at him. Ronin chuckled, but his laughing stopped short when her aura flared a bright red. Razz's claws were out and a bright, yellow light made her hands glow. "It ends here!" she cried. Ronin growled, and his hands blazed red. They started to fight feircly and swiftly. Ronin barely dodged each attack. Razz gracefully ducked, swerved, and blocked his blows. She then pushed him to the ground and sat on him, pushing her hands on his chest, the yellow light becoming brighter.
"Die, you b*****d!" she cried, and everything went white.
Rayna shook the memory out of her head. She came to this school to forget the past, and that's what she was going to try and do. But she couldn't help but feel that somehow, that memory was transferred into Hikaru's mind....

Rayna blinked at Hikaru, her eyes widening. She, too, went pale as she placed a hand on her head. "I-I'm not a...telepath....I think..." she said slowly. "And that....was when....." she trailed off, glancing at her leg. Rayna then lifted one of the pant sleeves and turned her leg to reveal a long scar going down her calf. She looked up to Hikaru. "Ronin was a horrible man..." she said.
All of a sudden, a pained expression appeared on her face as she clutched her hair with both hands, bending down. A white hot pain was burning her head, but only hers, as memories seemed to push their way up to the surface...
Razz's eyes widened at the man as he glared at her friend Maddie's back, who had dragged him to the school. He had pitch black hair and his eyes were like coal, with pale skin. He was adorned in a black cloak with dark red interior, black shirt and pants, and dark boots.
Ronin looked over to Rayna, standing, glaring at her. He was about a head and a half taller than her. He gave her a smirk as she stumbled back a few steps. "Well, Rayna," he said. She gulped. "Are you not happy to see me again?" he asked, taking a step forward. She took another step back. "W-Why would I be?" she stuttered, trying to look brave. But inside she was scared-- she had almost died the first time she had met him, when she traveled for those few months. He was very close to killing her. And now he was back, and she was scared.
Ronin only chuckled darkly at her. "Afraid, dear Rayna? You should be." he said. Rayna glared. "Shut up! I'm not afraid!" she cried, as if losing her fear. He smiled. "Well, fight me, then, if you're so brave." he commanded.
Razz did not waste time to attack him. She ran at him, like she did at Midoriku, with her claws out. But right before she got into his reach, she jumped and flipped in the air, landing behind him. But before she could turn around to swipe at him, he spun, his hand grabbing her neck, chocking her. She tried to pry his hands off, but it was no use. He smiled as she gasped for breath. "Oh, Rayna, you've disappointed me. Is this the best you can do?"
Rayna glared at him. She swung her legs forward, kicking his face with both feet, catching him off guard. She jumped backwards when he let go and landed in a crouching position, panting, rubbing her neck. Ronin's hands flew to his face as he glared at her evilly. "Little mutt." he snarled. "I'm not a dog!" Rayna said indignatly, standing up. "It's the same thing." he responded, standing up straight. "Be ready to die."
"Bring it."
Ronin's aura flared red. "As you wish," he growled. She made the stance that Maddie had showed her in training, standing shoulder-width apart and sliding her left foot forward. 'Here we go,' she said.
Ronin ran at her so that when Razz blinked, he was right in front of her. He through a punch at her, but she blocked it the way Maddie had showed her. She crouched down and swung her leg, attempting to trip him, but he jumped, avoiding the kick. She then started to throw punches at him with lightning speed, but he dodged and blocked them all. He threw a kick at her, but she blocked it with her arm. She then grabbed his cloak and pulled him towards her, sending a punch to his face. She then let the cloak go, letting him fall to the ground, clutching his nose. She then tried to kick him in the face, but he rolled to the side, standing up. He sent a punch to her, catching her in the stomach and sending her flying back. She landed on her back, wincing. He then grabbed her by the collar of her shirt and threw her against a tree. She hit it with a 'thud', slumping to the ground. She groaned. She then stood up slowly, swaying. He walked over to her and started throwing punches and kicks at her. She blocked and dodged half of them, but was often hit by the blows.

Eventually the chaotic images started to slow down, though Hikaru's head was still spinning. She wobbled back and forth slightly in place as she sat at the fountain with Rayna, trying to get the world to stop moving without her. Gagging momentarily, she managed to avoid vomiting from the vertigo, placing a hand on Rayna's shoulder.
"It's... okay," she said slowly, nodding. "I believe you. I..." she paused. "There's a lot I want to know, but... I'm sensing now might not be the best time."
She smiled tentatively, still feeling a little sick from the whole experience. "...Are you gonna be okay, though, Rayna? Do you need anything?"
