Twenty-two? He dosen't look it that's for sure...he looks younger...
She watched him as he unbuckled the sword from his waist. It was a very nice one at that. It seem well crafted and very expansive. A famly hier loom perhaps? Or maybe a gift from a friend? Or the slight posiblity a prize from a fight.... Multipule ways of how he came to be the wielder of this magnificant sword continued to run through her head. She then watch him get comfortable. "You want me to teach you in magic?...I asure you it is quite different form what you are accustomed to. My magic come from my ansesters teachings...It combines ancient language with spirit energy ..." She held out her palm and recited, "Brisingr..." A small flame sparked in her hand. She closed her hand and the flame was gone. "It also requires alot of reading...Here let me show you." She turned to her bag and pulled out a book. "Here...look threw this tell...even though you may not be able to read my people's language..."

He tried to read the tell, but it was impossible. He didn't know any of the characters. "I can't read it, I'm sorry...I've only started using magic really. Long story, basically my life story. My brother only showed me how to unlock this power, I can use some of it easily, but then at some points I tend to lose conscienceness...I can't learn any other magic, couldn't if I tried." He admitted. He really wasn't ashamed of it either, he knew he wasn't able to master another element or magic. His bloodline wouldn't allow it.  

[Oni_Makibi]

Sayomi was all set to start life at Ria. She had spent several hours in her dorm with her video games and decided it was time to explore the campus. She chose to have a look at the courtyard since it seemed so peaceful. She began walking aimlessly along the man-made paths that cut through the grass and other plants.  

[Misao]

Hikaru nodded at all of this, quietly sitting next to Rayna and taking the story in. She made sure to listen closely so she would understand everything and not miss any important details. To think that all of it had only happened a few months before, though...

"So, you said you won that battle, right?" she asked. "Does that mean you're free of the curse now? How did you end up here?"  

[The Razz]

Rayna nodded to Hikaru, fingering a strand of her long, ruby red hair. "Yes, I won the battle. And Hawk didn't die right away like Ollie. He was something of a guardian to me. He always protected me...he's been there all my life. But he died a couple weeks after, when Kylie and Charlie came to visit me. I don't know if I' free of the curse or not. I'm pretty sure, but now I can control whether I have claws, fangs, and all that. I can just..." she pasued, extending a hand. Her nails turned into long, black claws. "....make them appear." Soon, they retransformed back into nails.

"It was my mom- well, my foster mom in a sense, even though I never went to a foster home- who sent me here. She thought that It would be best if I went to another school, so I could forget about everything. That's worked out so far." she said sarcastically, running a hand through her hair.  

[Misao]

Hikaru nodded, looking closely at Rayna's claws as she demonstrated her transformation.

"Well, it's pretty cool that you have control of the beast form now. It must come in handy, at least..." She smiled a little at this, hoping to touch upon a bright spot in the middle of all of the depressing things they'd been talking about. "Although I'm sorry that forgetting about everything hasn't been working. What do you think it was that triggered all of your memories coming back all of a sudden?"  

[The Razz]

Razz made a small smile. "Yeah, I guess it does...." she said quietly. "And that's just it. I don't know how these are all coming back. I mean, since I've come here, I've been remembering, but nothing like that." she told her, placing a hand on her forehead. "Maybe-"

Just then, the pain came back into her head as she cried out, clutching her head once more. She squinted her eyes shut, knowing that the memory was flowing into Hikaru's mind. This time, it was a different kind of memory...

In the middle of a small village, there was a large fountain, where two children were rubbing and playing around. They were but a bit taller than the rim of the fountain. Their shrieks and giggles rang through the area of the village as a few people watched them, smiling and talking behind their hands, admiring them in a sense. The children, a boy and a girl, didn't seem to notice their chatter. The boy just chased the girl, tring to catch her. They both looked strikingly similar. Both had red hair and dark, ocean blue eyes. But the boy's hair had a bit of dark brown in it. Both had fox ears protruding from their heads and a fox tail behind them.

The girl climbed up on the stone rim of the fountain and put her tiny fists on her hips, smirking. "You can't catch me, Oliver!" she said teasingly. The boy grinned devilishly, scrambling up onto the rim himself. "You bet I can!" he replied, running after her. The girl squealed, trying to run away from Oliver as she kept her balance on the rim, which was a bit hard to do both at once. This went on for a couple minutes until the girl had an idea. She stopped abruptly, making Oliver attempt to halt his running. He wobbled, trying to regain his balance, but failed. He fell into the foutain, making a loud SPLASH! as he did. As he resurfaced, he gave the girl a mock glare. "That wasn't fair, Rayna!" he called up to her.

Rayna just giggled and jumped in with him. Once she came up to the surface, she splashed Ollie, who splashed her back. A couple of passer-byers just chuckled at the children. In the shadows of a building, a pair of golden, hawk-like eyes were watching Rayna and Ollie. The eyes belonged to Hawk, who made it his 'mission' to look after the children and protect them.

Rayna and Ollie climbed out of the well and looked down at their peasant clothes. Ollie looked up to Rayna with wide eyes. "We'd better get home."Rayna told him, shaking herself off. Ollie nodded as they broke into a run in a direction. "Mum's going to kill us for getting wet again!" he called as they ran. Hawk, too, went after them.

In a small house, a man watched the two children and the cat run off as a puff of dark grey smoke came from his pipe. He glared at their backs, and then smiled evilly at the plan he had made for that night.  

[Misao]

Hikaru braced herself for mental impact as Rayna grabbed her head. Taking one of her hands, she squeezed at it, as much to support herself as to support her friend. Thankfully, this time the memory wasn't anywhere near as violent, but it was still every bit as disorienting. Once the sensation began to fade, Hiko looked again at Rayna.

"...A memory from your childhood?" she asked. "Was that your brother...?"  

[The Razz]

Rayna's shoulders slumped as she relaxed when the pain had subsided. She looked up at Hikaru and nodded slowly, wiping her eyes. "Yes, that was my brother, Ollie...." she said quietly. "That was my old village...we played at that fountain a lot. That happened to be just the day where it all happened....in the middle of the night, Ronin came into our house- through our bedroom window- and killed Ollie first. Hawk saw him and woke up my parents, which he killed, too. But there was so much noise that people started to wake up, and he didn't have enough time to kill me. So he placed a curse on me...and that morning, I woke up to see everyone dead and Hawk to be missing. I didn't cry that much. I packed up a few of my things and left, where I travelled for three years. This happened when I was...seven, I believe. Yes, seven." she said, tapping her nose.

"Anyway, for three years I was on my own. I would either hunt or steal for food, stay in an inn if I had money or camp out in a forest. When I was ten, I went to a city and was mugged in a park and went unconscious. When I woke up, I was in this lady's home, and I couldn't remember anything. I couldn't even remember my name. The lady took me in and I went by the name of Razz. And then at fourteen, when I transformed, I regained my memory."

She reached out for the water of the fountain and cupped some of it in her hand, splashing it on her face, as if to wake her up some. But she was already awake enough.  

[Misao]

"Hmmm..." Hikaru folded her arms as she thought to herself, trying to sort all of that out. So Rayna's family was killed when she was seven, she lost her memory at age ten, and then got it back four years later when she transformed for the first time. And now, after the events at the dining hall, she was remembering everything all over again.

"...You said you got your memories back when you transformed after your fourteenth birthday, right?" Hiko asked. "Do you think the same memories flooding back all of a sudden tonight has anything to do with your powers? Maybe they're developing somehow, like getting stronger or something?"  

[The Razz]

Rayna shrugged, contemplating over the thought. "Maybe, but it wasn't like I forgot them or anything." she said. "But you might be right....I don't know. Could I be some kind of telepath, too?" she asked. She then turned her head to a direction, sniffing the air. Since having sharper senses, she could tell if a person was nearby. She smiled a bit, turning to Hiko. "Charlie's coming, probably looking for me." she said, rolling her eyes a bit. Charlie was always looking out for her, especially since what happened last week.

Hikaru nodded at this. "Just a thought. It might not mean anything. I'm just trying to figure out why this is happening right now, y'know? It seems weird that your memories would just start jumping into other peoples' heads like that..."

She shook her head in confusion, trying not to think too hard about it all. At the mention of Charlie, she smiled at Rayna. "Charlie's so nice. You two are really cute together."

Rayna nodded at Hikaru's first comment. It was weird that her memories were being transferred to Hikaru. This had never happened before. 'This'll be another few weeks of all-night research for sure.' she thought, sighing.

She then turned a light pink at Hikaru's other statement. "Thanks....and he is really nice...." she said, laughing nervously. Just then, Charlie appeared from around a corner. Once he spotted them, he seemed to sigh in relief and he walked over to them. "Rayna, I was looking all over for you." he told her. Rayna glanced at Hiko, giving her a 'I-Told-You' look.
