Since my sister's antichrist friend told her how evil and antiChristianity the Golden Compass is --that they're sadists and they kill god and all this crap--and they're making a movie to ensnare the minds of young children they won't f***ing leave me alone! I'M NOT AN ATHIEST! Nor am I catholic. They MADE me get confirmed. I HATE the whole damn concept of religion--who are they to judge me?

So the people in my book are polytheist--does that make me a devil-worshipper? Does that make my sweet little Kamile an instrument of Satan?

WHAT THE HELL DO THEY KNOW?!?!!?

Has anyone even read those books? His Dark Materials? They're BEAUTIFUL. They're three of the most amazing books I will ever grace my bookshelf with. And this is coming from a girl who has over 100 books on her shelf right now and has read four times as many since the sixth grade. Whatever his intentions, the author made a beautiful story that was concise, well-worded, intelligent, and worthy of the freaking Pulitzer prize, not all of this crap.

Is this what they're going to do to me?

I loved His Dark Materials when I was young, but after re-reading them recently I just didn't like them as much as I used too.

I actually love the concept of religion.
I too have been confirmed, but I am still undecided in my chosen faith.

I plan to study all the religions when I am a little bit older,
and choose the one I wish to follow.

And I have His Dark Materials as a one-book trilogy thing, but I've only read the first chapter because I decided I wanted to see the movie first so that I don't do what I do with every book they make into a movie:

"No! That's wrong! They changed it!"

"What? They totally left out *insert major plot point here*!"

No, read the book first. They screwed the movie up, sure, but you want to read the book first because that way you are uncorrupted. It's the best book evaaaah.

While I have a feeling the movie won't be able to portray the book that well, I still think it's going to be good just as a movie in general.

And I'm super pissed right now. I technically have 6 concerts next week to attend for band. I'm sorry, but I really don't want to waste all of my social time playing my f*cking trumpet. I'm already missing a Christmas party with my friends for the band, as well as sacrificed my birthday party. So I'm not sure why they're so f*cking angry everytime I'm an entire minute late, or I can't attend one single concert.

Wow. So my grades go down the drain and my parents decide to resort to the usual method that doesn't help the situation and never has an effect other than to waste my time; yelling at me. They never follow-through with their threats and it's pretty much a daily thing now.

It's not something that has started recently, but has gotten to the point where I seriously can't take it. My mom watches my webgrades religiously nowadays (for those that don't have it, it's pretty much every detail of the assignments you've had, posted on the internet.)

And now my mom's pissed that I haven't written thank-you letters to everyone that attended my "surprise" birthday party. The hell? Am I the only one who finds these cards useless? I already thanked the person fifty times when they initially left the party, and now I have to write a card to them that will either be a nuisance to the recipient or will be trashed in a manner of days?

Meh... my life isn't bad right now... just extremely annoying and making me wish for next school year when I'll attend a college FAAAR away from here...
