I've made up my mind, don't need to think it over
If I'm wrong I'm right, no need to look no further
This ain't lust, I know this is love
But if I tell the world, I'll never say enough
'Cause it was not said to you
And that's exactly what I need to do if I'd end up with you

User ImageAs soon as they walked far away enough from the Potter children that they wouldn't hear, Adele looked at the two boys and grinned. "Well that was the most pathetic display of testosterone that I've ever seen in my life," she told them honesty. Adele wasn't one to step over someone's feelings too carefully. The only reason she didn't get involved back there was because the Potters already had enough reason to hate her and her family. Damn mother...But Scorpius and Darius were really idiots if they thought of that as fun. Especially since Gryffindor beat them in last years game. Hopefully that would change this year. Adele was a chaser for the quidditch team and took it hard whenever they lost. But she couldn't deny that both Lily and Riley (and their champion Gregory) were great seekers. So chanting and taunting and making bets was a terrible idea. You usually ended up looking like an idiot in the end.

It was odd, but Adele noticed a similarity between Riley and Lily. They both seemed to be annoyed with the boys for their antics. Adele could see Riley reacting in the same way if some Gryffindor snobs happened to do the same to her. Adele probably would have just cursed them and that would have been the end of it. Detention? She honestly couldn't care less. But if Adele was ever going to be friends with Riley (which was possible what with their new secret tunnel), it would be difficult should Riley also be friends with Lily. Just the thought of spending time with the Potters made Adele physically ill. It wasn't that she really had anything against them. She hated that they had every right to hate her, which was odd, since Adele usually couldn't care less what people thought (though her mother and father's approval wouldn't be a terrible thing to have either).

Once they were in the common room, it wasn't long before Riley found the tunnel behind a tapestry. "Oh good...this means that nobody will be finding this place anytime soon...well...besides us," she said happily. What was the point of a secret tunnel if the entire world knew about it? No, this was just perfect. Following Riley in, she lit her wand. "Lumos." It was very dark, but Adele wasn't afraid or anything. Her nerves shook only with excitement and anticipation. She couldn't wait to see where this led. "Adventure, here we come." She could only hope that they wouldn't somehow get lost. That was really her only fear as the tunnels could seriously lead anywhere. Hogwarts was quite huge and as they were in the lowest floor of the school, there was plenty of room for twists and turns in the tunnel.

Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements
Even if it leads nowhere?
Or would it be a waste, even if I knew my place
Should I leave it there?
Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements
Even if it leads nowhere?

Its been one week since you looked at me
Cocked your head to the side and said I'm angry.
Five days since you laughed at me
Saying get that together come back and see me.
Three days since the living room
I realized its all my fault, but couldn't tell you
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
But it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry

The huge grin on Gregory's face quickly transitioned into a glare when the Hogwarts Champion heard the idiotic chanting of two charming Slytherin. Once again, the usual culprits Scorpius and Darius had decided that it would be "fun" to pick on a member of another house. Most of the students at the school, and most of the people in his generation, had looked beyond the colors of each others' houses. He didn't even sit at his own house table for meals almost every day of the week! Healthy competition between two or more groups was perfectly fine, seeing that Greg found himself part of it every quidditch match, but humiliating people in front of the entire school was just plain cruel. People like the two Slytherin boys made Gregory's blood boil. Maybe that was why he enjoyed destroying their team during the Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin matches every year. He had nothing against their Seeker, Riley Renolds, but te rest of the team seemed to like to play things dirty.

When Gregory Wood realized that they had decided to pick a fight with Lily Potter and her brother, Greg immediately tightened his fingers around the redwood wand in his pocket. He dare not whip it out now and hurl jinxes across the room, but he sure as hell wanted to! This wand had got him out of several skirmishes with other students, and now it would be the only tool he could rely on to pass each of the dangerous tasks of the tournament. Whatever he faced, this slender piece of wood would be his weapon of choice. But the tournament was awhile away, and this situation was now. He could not hear the words thrown back and forth between the two groups, but he could see that nothing effected Lily. She stood adamant, only smiling to the things Scorpius and Darius were saying, which was probably making them extremely frustrated. The verbal bout was quickly resolved by the Slytherin Seeker and Lily Potter, and a few other students began to leave the Great Hall. He knew that being named champion would cause a lot of people to try and get close to him, especially since nobody other than Lily knew he had asked Rose to the ball already, but it would also cause a few people to hate him for it. Something inside him was telling him that some of the Slytherin would not be as exited for him as the others were.

Right when his grip on his wand began to lessen, someone gently tapped him on the shoulder. At first, Gregory thought it might have been that first year that had been drooling over him when he was named champion, but no first year was that tall. The sixth year champion slowly turned around and was somewhat surprised to see the headmistress behind him. She still looked worried about this whole ordeal, but he knew that deep down she was excited for him. Why wouldn't she want the Hogwarts Champion to win the cup? "Of course, Professor McGonagall," he immediately responded when she asked to have a word with him. Greg knew that she wouldn't be telling him any of the tournament's secrets, the headmistress would never stoop to that level, but the other schools might. Every little thing he could get from teachers and friends would be a big help to him.

There seemed to be another wall in front of the group. Riley looked at the snake pattern where the two doors met and looked at the extremely etched snakes that were cut in the middle for the door to open. The girl touched the stone in the middle in amazement. She wondered who’d built this whole thing. As she touched the stone it glowed bright and the serpents parted as the wall cracked open,, the halves slid smoothly out of sight, and Riley began shaking with a bit of fear began to walk in side. She was standing at the beginning of a long very dimly lit [Due to their wands of coarse] tunnel. Towering stone pillars enter winded with more carved serpents. Looking up she noticed the ceiling was complete darkness. She couldn’t make anything out up at the top. As she walked forward she could hear each footstep echo through the tunnel and bounce back off the walls to her ears. She gulped. This was beginning to creep her out.

In the far off distance, if she squinted, she was able to see some sort of light. She knew it wasn’t from their wands before them because they wouldn’t be producing that much light with only a simple lumos spell. Riley glanced at the three behind her. Adele fallowed right behind, and it fallowed from Scorpius to Darius. She wondered how she’d gotten stuck up in the front, but she liked the idea of being able to choice were they went. As she kept on she noticed as they walked the surrounding seemed to become more bright, and a bit more browner. As though it were a crawlspace under a house. It seemed to be hours upon hours before she finally stopped at a fork in their paths. The way to the left seemed to be a loads more bright than towards the right. Her eyes were transfixed on the right side of the tunnel, attempting to figure what it was. After a few seconds of though she sheerly dismissed it in general. Turning left the girl began to walk again.

It took what seemed yet again forever, which in all reality was most likely only about six minutes to reach a flight of stairs. She watched each step as she looked before her. She wondered what was ahead of them. Walking up the stairs the girl stopped by a door, the door was above her head and she had to push upwards just to open the blasted thing. Looking back at her comrades she gulped in. She wasn’t sure what was awaiting them. Pushing with all her might the door above her unwillingly opened. Cautiously crawling through the door the girl looked around. They were in a dark back ally. Riley became confused. Looking to the bustling street to the side of her it finally donned on her where they were. The light trickle of rain fell on the girls head as she grinned. ”The three broomsticks. Its right aside us, Were in it’s back ally of Hogsemead.” A smile was spread on her face, in which she felt very triumphant for.

Trying to step out of the rain the girl jumped back down the tunnel to speak with Adele and her relations. She didn’t know how’d they’d be able to go in to the three broomsticks without getting caught and getting in trouble. If they wanted to see more of the tunnel, and want to go in to the Three broomsticks they’d have to be crafty about it. Looking at Adele she spoke ”We cant be seen for us. We have to be seen as someone different.” Riley looked upwards to the rain that was still trickling on her head until glancing back down the tunnel as though it had her answers for her. She was also surprised by the fact that her brother and cousin weren’t speaking all that much.

He blinked as the Slytherin boys began to sing and Albus sighed. Couldn't they thought of better lyrics? I mean what happened to their brains? He sighed and his hand twitched for his wand to seal their mouths shut but he re-thought things. Just became he was annoyed and on the edge right now didn't mean he had to take it out on a pair of idiots. It would just be a minute out of his life that he wouldn't get back...but it would be a fun minute. He glanced at Lily who he knew would want to say something and he wasn't going to stop her.

"Couldn't you think of better lyrics? I mean. Green and Silver? Scarlet and Gold is so much better. Don't you think Lily?"

He smiled at his sister before the Slytherin left, much to his dismay. He felt like teasing them a bit more, but they probably realized two Gryffindors could easily outsmart a group of Slytherins. He shrugged before turning to his sister. Maybe Albus should try out for the Quidditch Team. He nodded slightly before looking at his sister once more. It could end up being a little suprise fo rthe Slytherins.

"You know what Lily. I might just try out for the Quidditch team this year"

Dreams we have had play in my head
Did we believe the cry of the wind?
Did we regret? Would we forget?

User ImageLily scowled as the Slytherins walked way. She had been so relieved that Reilly hadn't condoned their behavior. Somewhere in her heart, she was hopeful that she would stay friends with her brother because Albus seemed to really like this girl. She was sure there was some reason for her behavior before....old prejudices usually ended up staying within the family, right? Wasn't it possible that Reilly's family held some sort of grudge against the Potters? But Lily reminded herself to stay out of their business. Her meddling most likely wouldn't help them at all. So she kept her mouth shut until Albus spoke to her.

"Really?! That would be so awesome! We'll be holding tryouts next week! Do you know what position you want? You'd make a pretty good beater I'd guess. It'll be so great that all three of us are on the team!" she said excitedly. That would be really terrific. Then he would help them win against Slytherin and possibly Ravenclaw. The three Potters all on one team! It would certainly get the other Gryffindors all excited.

׺°”˜`”°º×» Minerva McGonagall quickly mulled over the many things she would have thought of telling the Hogwarts Champion, who was now following her to a more secluded part of the Great Hall: the side entrance behind the High Table where the teacher's usually procured a most discreet introduction. She preferred its subtlety, rather than parading through the gigantic doors of said hall, most likely turning every eye in the room with the noise when one was unfortunately late.

Not that I ever was... chased her afterthought.

Hesitating for a bit, she thought on how to approach the subject. Caring for her students was a priority, but even though she would do ANYTHING to ease the task for all three Champions, [disregarding the fact that two of them weren't even supposed to be her responsibility], her Gryffindor pride and chivalry would never allow herself to cheat.

Come now, Minerva... Cheating you say?

She did not even know how her mind had formulated that. How could she have sunk so low..? Not that she was unfamiliar with the bending of rules of course. Mischief was something she was indeed familiar with. And besides, wasn't cheating a sort of "tradition" in the TriWizard Tournament? Everyone knew Durmstrang had not won that cup in 1895 with the most impeccable image.

Mentally shaking herself, she addressed her attention to the young man who was now standing before her, awaiting her response... A sudden click on the wheels turning on her head lit her face for an unseen moment.

"Mr. Wood, I just wanted to personally congratulate you on your success tonight. I have no doubt that you will bring Hogwarts much honor with your actions in this Tournament" she started.

"But I would also like to tell you now, that the tasks to be performed in our near future are not, as one would say, a walk in the park. Many have lost valuable things... an arm or two... and in some unfortunate cases... their very own lives. she added gravely.

"I expect you to act on the logic that placed you on Ravenclaw... and rely on the wit and skill that is supposedly bestowed upon your house."

"And Mr. Wood... Do be careful, will you?" she pleaded. For a moment there, she felt herself go soft. Minerva McGonagall was NOT, by any means, soft.

"I refuse to let you add another wrinkle to my already weary forehead" she added with more sarcasm and disdain. There, that should make up for the moment of weakness.

Gregory Leo Wood lifted an eyebrow as the headmistress had beckoned him to follow her into the room behind the Great Hall, the door that the teachers liked to pop in from but most of the students had no clue where or what it lead to. Was the headmistress actually going to cheat and tell him something he shouldn't know about yet? There was no way in hell she would even think of stooping to such a level! Even if she was going to, Professor McGonagall would have been more covert about, not lead him into a room that everyone could obviously see them go into or parade out of the Great Hall. Greg turned to the two other champions and waved goodbye as he followed his professor out of the hall. He did not feel bad that he was allowed to escape all the attention because he knew that their respected headmaster/headmistress would soon call them over and have a little "chat" with them about the tournament. The seeker quietly closed the door behind him before following McGonagall down the short flight of stairs.

The sixth-year student patiently waited for his professor to speak to him as he dug his hands deep within his pockets in order to calm himself down. His hands had been sweating profusely since he had been announced the Hogwarts Champion, and he hoped he didn't have to shake anyone's hand this evening. Greg watched the wheels turning in McGonagall's head as she figured out what to say to the young man and how exactly to say it. She then started to personally congratulate him and tell him about the dangers of the tournament. Sadly, he wished for her to move on to something else because he had heard about these dangers many times before an they still didn't stop him from entering his name. A genuine smile spread across his lips as he looked down at his feet. Though some people did not understand this, this mannerism was actually to show his respect to those with a higher authority than him. It was the equivalent of a bow in Japanese culture.

"Thank you Headmistress McGonagall, I shall do my best and beyond that to bring this school much honor. I am aware of the dangers and will immediately take action to prepare myself physically, mentally, and emotionally for the three task that I will confront. I will not let the witty House of Ravenclaw down professor, let alone anyone here at Hogwarts." Gregory let out a quick breath after finishing. He felt like he had spoken to the headmistress truthfully and hoped that she would see how prepared he was to be the champion to represent this school. The sixth-year student slowly stood up straight as he waited for McGonagall to say anything more. Would she give him a hint at what the first task might include, or had she already without him even realizing it? Casting the thought of his venerable headmistress cheating aside quite quickly, Gregory Leo Wood silently stood there waiting for Professor McGonagall to dismiss him. He was eager to return to the Great Hall so he could speak with his friends about the matter. Lily was always filled with useful information, and this seeker felt like he would be asking her for a lot of advice throughout the entire year. With the help of his friends, there would be no way he could lose this tournament. The great Harry Potter had won the last Triwizard Tournament held here, so Greg felt like he needed to go beyond what Mr. Potter had done and prove his worth to the wizarding world.

Rose entered the great hall. Hungry, and tired.
Rose had fallen asleep in the Gryffindor common room, and slept through the whole afternoon. She stayed up last night with some friends, and couldn't sleep for some reason, this morning. So, while she was sitting in the Gryffindor common room, reading a book, she fell asleep. Apparently no one felt it was necessary to wake her up for dinner. So she had been sleeping since almost noon.

Rose's stomach was growling cause she hadn't eaten lunch and she almost missed dinner. She yawned as she walked towards the Gryffindor Table. Rose saw her cousins and caught the end of what Lily was saying.
"Hey guys. Whats going on?"
The sleepy Gryffindor thought she heard something about a team. Assuming, since it was Lily, they were talking about quidditch.

Rose looked towards the Ravenclaw table, but didn't see Gregory. She took a seat at the table sitting towards her cousins, and crossed her legs.

User ImagexxxToday was another day. Just like the last had been, just a little bit more dull. Sundays always seemed a bit more gloomy than the other days, just for the fact of the week would start a-new tomorrow. Classes would begin and everyone would be rushing to and fro. The Slytherin laid in her bed, staring at the green curtains above her canopy bed. Her eyes still filled with sleep, she really had not exact place to go today, and yesterday was even more annoying than today. Which was a relief? In a way it was, or not. Depending on what way she decided to look at it. Her day had ended with Adele and her being interrupted by her brother and cousin. They were nervous by a few teachers appearing in the three broomsticks. She didn’t know why exactly they were so afraid, due to they had ended up changing appearance. The girl smirked at the idea of the spell actually working. The brunettes eyes blinked a few times more before she held them closed for a few seconds trying to wake herself up. She didn’t want to leave the warmth of her silver and green comforter. She nuzzled herself unto the blankets and turned to her side. Pulling her knees close to her body She felt her own body heat and let out a yawn. It was hard to get out of bed. But it was even harder today. Riley figured nothing exciting would happen, but yet she still needed to rise. That thought of nothing happening lingered in her mind and made it almost impossible for her to rise now.

She looked around the room and seemed to be the last one in the room. She let out a deep sigh and shifted back to her back. Within a second she was sitting up, frizzy hair and all. Her actions were a little bit wobbly even for being on a solid ground. Riley Was even a klutz sitting down. She leaned back a on her arms to brace herself before falling right back on her back. She huffed in annoyance before sitting back up. As soon as she sat up she let out a sneeze. ’Great.’ She thought to herself as she sneezed again. She hated her sneezes. They were loud but yet they were those little girl sounding sneezes. Another one interrupted her thought as she swung her legs to the side of the bed. Her toes touched the hardwood floor and she felt a shiver run through her body. The Slytherin stood then and made her way to her trunk at the end of the bed. Pulling out a few odds and ends of a causal outfit she had packed she quickly got dressed while sneezing all the way through the process. The brunette Stood in front of a mirror in the room and groaned. Her hair grew three feet in height over the night and the curly mess never cooperated with her. She flipped her head over and ran her fingers though it before flipping it back over an smoothing it slightly, she then parted it and decided it wouldn’t do much more than that today.

Walking the spiral stairs into the common room Riley noticed both her cousin and Brother still sat in the commons. As she descended the stairs Darius looked up from his book and smirked. ”’Bout Damn time, don’t you think?” Her brother was a seventh year and he looked much like she, only he had fair colored hair instead of light brown as she. He also had dark green eyes like their mother. Riley Gave him a smug look as Their cousin, Scorpious Malfoy, Looked back to her from a chair he was sitting in. Darius spoke once more ”Lets go. Foods probably cold now” Riley thought it was odd the two waited for her, and even odder they were going with her to breakfast. She only decided to nod and fallow along. She wondered if they were mad about her and the Potter son? Her and He sort of talked in a sense. As the three walked down the hall the girl let out a sigh of defeat. She didn’t know what to do much any more. Albus potter had a sister, lily, who must have been awfully mad at the girl still. She had been rude to her prior because of a various cause. Riley walked behind Scorpious and aside her Brother who was just strolling along, hands in his pockets, and talking to their cousin. Riley had no idea what they were speaking about, but She attempted to listen but it seemed futile. Her own thoughts seemed to be going more than anything else. Not only the idea of people her idea ran to her classes and what would they do this year. Letting out another sneeze she heard both her brother and cousin snicker at her. Riley seemed to be a very flustered person these last few days.

Soon the door opened before her to the great hall, and just like days past people bustled and talked like usual. Most of the conversation was of the tournament happening. That had almost completely left her mind. Their champion this year was from Ravenclaw. A something or another Wood. She didn’t know him personally but to her Ravenclaws were just one of those smarty people. The three made their way to their houses table where the rest of the Slytherin’s sat. As riley sat down she realized that she was actually pretty hungry as her stomach growled. She grabbed the glass before her filled with sweet pumpkin juice as to the right of her one of her friends began to yammer on. To the left of her was her brother, and then her cousin fallowed across from him. The brunette sipped a bit more of her juice while not really listening to what her friends were saying. Setting her glass down she grabbed a sweet roll and began to nibble on it.

As her friend talked she sneezed every once in a while, which allowed her to hear a bit of quiet from the people around her. Every time she would sneeze those around her would shoot a glance at her. She savored that moment when they were all quiet though. She began to wonder if she was getting sick? If that was so it would become really annoying for practice and such. She didn’t like getting sick at all. Which was not to unusual since most didn’t like getting sick. The Slytherin waited for her friend to begin speaking to others beside her, and by that time she’d nibbled down half of her roll. At this time she glanced up at the teachers table where many of the teachers sat and rambled on happily. She wondered on some of them what sort of teachers they were? She didn’t know some of them from years past. Soon her eyes looked back to her table then she caught the eye of the professor of history of magic. A weird shiver went down her back when she looked at him. He was an odd fellow. She didn’t want to go to class tomorrow. Nibbling on her roll she finally set it down on her plate and tried to speak with her friends again. Today would be one more day before class and she would use the day to its fullest.

Rose walked into the Great Hall. Not walking. More like shuffling. Dragging her feet across the cold floor of the huge room. Rose, was tired. Last night were many celebrations and not much of any sleeping. Partying; singing, dancing, music. No studying. To much fun. This morning, the Gryffindor payed for all that fun she had. There was no sleeping in when living at Hogwarts.

So, there was poor Rose. Dragging her feet across the floor. Half asleep. Probably didn't even dress herself right. Luckily, everyone else is tired. Most likely in the same mood she is.

Rose sat at her usual place at the Gryffindor table. Taking some food. She ate quietly in her own world. Not caring to notice if anyone was with her, or noticed her sit down.

It was a most nasty day. Not good weather. Slightly cold in the Great Hall. The ceiling of the magical room was cloudy, and the windows approved that the ceiling was right. It is a nasty day outside. Seeming like a normal day in September. If there was one thing she misses, that thing would be summer. Rose does not like the cold one bit. Spring and summer are her seasons. Sunny and warm. Not cloudy and cold. Being able to swim and
To wrap everything on Roses mind up. She is not only tired but cold. This day is not starting out very well.

Looking around. Rose saw no one she wanted to talk to. No cousins. So siblings. No Gregory. Since Gregory isn't in her same house, there was no partying with him last night. Rose still couldn't wrap her mind around it. She was going to the Triwizard Ball with Gregory. Not only is that amazing in itself, but he is the Hogwarts Triwizard Champion. She was going to the Ball with a champion. This was amazing, but also very scary. Her Uncle Harry participated in the tournament, and witnessed someone die. Of course this was because of a evil wizard, but, it happened. The tasks were also very dangerous. She worried about Gregs safety. She hoped, he would be okay though. He is very brave and will be very good in the tournament. Rose had faith in Greg. She also didn't want to think of anything bad happening to him.

Rose pushed these thoughts out of her head, and finished eating her breakfast.

Letting out a huge yawn that would have startled anyone else in the room, Gregory Leo Wood slowly let himself wake up. The sun glaring through the large window beside him let him know it was Sunday morning now, a little fact he wasn’t too happy about. Yesterday had been such an eventful day that the following day would seem so boring. Just about a month ago he was the loner of the neighborhood practicing Quidditch by himself in the back yard. His parents dared not to challenge him to a practice match, in fear of their child showing them up. How sad was that? Nobody wanted to play against him for fun because they were afraid of him smoking them like a feindfyre curse backfiring on a fat Slytherin. He hadn’t let it bother him before, so he wouldn’t let it ruin his morning today. So much had happened during such a short period of time. The sixth-year had met a group of friends he wished he had known many years ago. He had also met the girl of his dreams and asked her to a ball. The third incredible event that had happened so far this year was being named Hogwarts Champion. Now Gregory would be spending the rest of the year competing against to of the most skilled students of his generation and risking his neck for the honor of the school he called home. Things were going great and they could only get better from here.

The Ravenclaw Seeker hadn’t got much sleep the previous night and his body was feeling a bit achy. Stretching his arms until his shoulders popped, the boy took in where exactly he was. He hadn’t woken up to the usual blue and bronze curtains of the sixth-year boys dormitory. In fact, he wasn’t sure he was in Ravenclaw Tower at all! The blue banners with a majestic looking eagle on them covering the walls reassured him that he was still in the place he needed to be. Though he wasn’t in his usual bed, Gregory was still in the common room. Some time after the announcement of the champions, he had passed out on one of the comfy couches near the largest window in the common room. His friends had thrown him a big party as soon as they had gotten back into the common room. Yes, even students of wit and intelligence knew how to party when the occasion came around. The way Ravenclaw students partied was a bit different from how the other house might do it. Several wizard’s chess tournaments had gone on around the room while others told stories of every sort. A couple boys had snuck in some butterbeer they talked the house elves into giving them, but not many people had participated in the drinking. Gregory spent most of the night standing in the corner of the common room, sipping on his goblet and chatting with whomever built up the courage to speak to him. Most of the people just told him how it was about time Ravenclaw got some spotlight and wished him the best of luck. Nobody told him what the tasks might be, but that didn’t surprise him. His own parents hadn’t even told him the tournament was going to happen this year, so how would any student know what exactly would go down? The party had been stopped before midnight by a few seventh year girls that took studying a little too serious. While everyone enjoyed themselves, they were up in their rooms doing homework or something. Not wanting to anger anybody any further, Gregory told his housemates that it was time to quiet down and get some sleep. As soon as every else went upstairs to the dorms, the sixteen year old tried to clean up the mess they left behind.

Gregory let out a heavy sigh as he sat up on the couch and swung his feet over onto the floor. The room was empty except for a few people heading downstairs for breakfast. None of them acknowledged he was there on the couch, but he didn’t care. All he cared about was getting down to the Great Hall to meet up with his other friends. He hadn’t been able to speak with any of them since before supper yesterday. His friends opinion on the matter was important to him. On top of that, he wanted to see Rose. Her beautiful smile made his heart jump every time he laid eyes on her, and hearing her voice always brightened his day. He got to his feet with another yawn and headed for the door. Suddenly, he remembered that he couldn’t leave just yet. Recently, the Ravenclaw Team Captain had been afflicted by a mild case of the dragon pox, so Gregory had been given control of the house team until his return. Last night he had written up an announcement that he would be holding trials later today for anyone interested in playing the sport of Quidditch. The piece of parchment instructed anyone wishing to make the team to go down to the pitch this afternoon to try out for any position. The returners would be favored over newcomers, but there was still the possibility that a new star could be amongst them. Some first years had hidden talent that they only needed an opportunity to show. With a tack shaped like a sun, the seeker placed his announcement on the bulletin board. Now he could head downstairs and get a bite to eat.

His stroll to the Great Hall was a strange on now that he had been named one of the three champions that would compete for fame and glory. He honestly didn’t feel like he needed any more fame, seeing that his skills as a seeker already got him plenty of that. Glory did sound pretty nice at the moment. If he did not make it in the world of professional Quidditch, he would be known for being the Hogwarts champion and possibly being this years victor. As he walked through the halls of the giant castle, the boy attracted more attention than he had ever before. Everyone was staring at him as he passed, and then muttering amongst themselves when he was out of sight. Those fifth-year Hufflepuff girls bumped into him again as he rounded a corner. All of them blushed and scurried away, only to start giggling together when he turned to look back at them. What surprised him the most was when he noticed people wearing blue buttons with his face on them. There were some with the other champion’s faces on them, but his seemed like the most popular. The magical button showed his face quizzically staring forward and then would transition to some witty saying he may have said a while ago. Everywhere he went, he found himself staring at himself. Good thing he had a level-head because if he was anyone else it would have driven him insane. Luckily, the maker of these buttons had not made the speak and he would never say that out loud in fear of giving someone an idea. Every few steps he took, Gregory was met by some aficionado wanting to get to know him better. Some girl had even jumped on his back and tried to force him to take her to the Yule Ball. As soon as he got her to calm down and get off of him, the seeker ran away as quickly as he could. “Hey look! Its Harry Potter!” That was all he had to say in order to provide himself with an opportunity to escape from crowds of people. It probably made him seem a bit antisocial, but that didn’t seem to stop everyone from trying to talk to him. Now the sixth-year student was regretting putting his name in the Goblet of Fire first. It was probably the confidence the goblet sensed that made it choose him as a champion.

The huge doors to the Great Hall were now visible and the Ravenclaw Champion quickly hurried inside. The large chamber was relatively empty at this time of the day. Most of his fellow students were probably sleeping in because the weekend allowed them to. Nobody from his house was here, they were all too tired to take one step out of bed. A handful of Slytherin students had arrived to eat breakfast, but he dared not try and chat with them. He was surprised none of them were wearing buttons with propaganda against him on them. Perhaps they only despised Gryffindor students? The house under the yellow banner with a badger on it had most of its seats filled this morning. Maybe they hadn’t partied as hard as the other houses, but Gregory still did not see Cage or Rosalie there. Nobody from the other schools had arrived yet, mainly because they were still partying their hearts out. The ruckus from the Durmstrang ship could almost be heard from Ravenclaw Tower! Poor Abel probably couldn’t feel his shoulders because his comrades had patted him on the back so much. He did not wonder about Evangeline too much because what girls did on their own time was their own business. Greg’s eyes finally fell upon the attractive young red-head sitting by her lonesome at the table for the house of red and gold. She looked still half asleep, and Greg could not help but smile.

The Ravenclaw Seeker slid next to Rose Weasley on the long bench that served as the seats for the students. He placed his elbow on the table and place his chin in his open hand. With a smile spread across his face, the eager boy playfully asked, “How you doing?” He hoped she knew he was joking around and wasn’t coming on too strong for only asking her out a day ago. The last thing he wanted was to scare her away. It had pained him a bit that he wasn’t able to celebrate with Rose and the rest of his other house friends last night. Instead, he had hung out with chess players and stared at the crackling fire all night. It would have been great fun to chat with Rose, Lily, and Albus till the latest hours of the night. A good invisibility cloak probably could have got him inside the Gryffindor Common Room, but where could he have gotten one of those? Gregory hoped his other friends would arrive soon, so he could ask them what they thought about him being champion. Rose was probably worried for him, but his reputation for getting himself out of trouble was known by many people here. Whatever the tasks held, the sixteen year old was confident he could overcome.

The Gryffindor pushed away her breakfast, and sighed lightly. "I am stuffed." She mumbled to herself. If there was one thing about Hogwarts it was that you were never hungry. The food was always good, and there was always plenty. Rose remembered the stories her mom told her about how she tried to free the house elf's that worked making the food for the students. She wondered if the they still worked down there. Making note in her brain, she wanted to remember to ask her mother or someone about this question.
Rose heard a voice and smiled brightly when she recognized who it was. She turned her body to the side and laughed, "Hi Greg." She said. "I'm doing fine. Thanks."
Rose wanted to give Greg a hug, but thought it would be awkward to do so. Since he just asked her to the Ball the other day. It would be really weird. The Gryffindor was also, way to nervous being around Greg. She could bearly talk, with the fear of doing something stupid in front of him.
"How are you feeling today Greg?" Rose said this wondering what the party was like for the Champion back in his own house. Ravenclaw had to of had a even bigger party then her own house. Since they had the actual Champion.
Rose supposed that many people knew Greg's name now, and wondered how people were treating him. Since, he is practically royalty in the school's eyes. User Image

She was terrible at the subject, as well as transfiguration. When she had those classes she seemed to be stuck forever in them. Thoey were her least favorite, and least skilled talents. Her favorite class though seeemed to be astronomy and defense agains the dark arts. Now most people tended to fancy defense against the dark arts, at least on the outside lines. Riley though has always dug as far as she could which made her even more curious on the subject. Her eyes looked across the table to her cousin who was stnickering. She fallowed his gaze to a boy who entered the room. It was the tri-wizard champion for their school. A few of the other slytherin boys laughed loudly as they pulled out a rather small sized box and placed it on their table. Riley looked over curiously. There was something going on, and she knew it. Soon the box made its way down the table, passed from person to person, and w hen it reached her brother aside of her she peered over his shoulder. In the box sat Pins. Riley rolled her eyes as her brother made a loud hooting sound. It was drown out by the noise of everyone else in the hall, but those aorund him could hear it.

With a gleeful laugh her brother threw a pin at her. On the front it read ’Not as smart as you think you are…’ The text then twirled to another fram where it had their ravenclaw champion on it, then it swirled to a third screen ’don’t choke wood!’ Riley read the pin in her hand and let out another sneeze. Stupid things. Both her sneezes and the silly pins. Her brother gave her a look ”What? Want a differnet style? Look.” Then he snatched the first pin fro m her hand and handed her another. It was green this time and read ”Who needs brains when you have tricks. Slytherins- Team Betterthanyou.” Darus grinned as he pulled one out for himself and placed it on his shirt. Before able to protest he spoke ”C’mon. Stick it ont here, show some Slytherin pride!” he said with a cheer of another of his friends. Riley hesistated. Darius rolled his eyes and leaned forward placing it on her shirt. She looked at him confused and a bit dumbfounded. He grinned. ”Looks good! Heck yeah! “ He paused at his sisters face ”C’mon. It’s not to bad. Were just poking fun! Lighten up!’ She smiled at his words. For some odd reason they lifted her. He was right, they were just being…Well them.

Cunning and ambition are easily turned towards ill purposes, daring, intelligence, and loyalty can as easily become negative to her own house. It often bothered her unlike others of her own colors. A reason Slytherins may not be thought of as the best kind of people was because many of them seem to value their own lives more than the lives of others. Riley let out a deep sigh as she took another bite of her roll and looked at the pin on her shirt. ’As long as it doesn’t get out of hand… She thought as she chewed. If it didn’t get out of hand, it would be perfectly fine, right? There wasn’t harm in having a bit of fun. A few slytherins at their table began to cheer at their idea of poking fun. One of the boys at opposite side of the table began to cheer their house song. Riley only laughed at him. Even though they were all sometimes rude and mena to others they had fun doing it.

Half of their table was cheering and singing along to their hosue song, while the other half laughed and kept talking with one another. Riely found herself laughing to, and cheering for her house at the same time. Why shoudlnt they have house pride? The rest of them were allowd to, and besides that, their first quidditch match was coming up in a few months, they needed to get pumped up early! Riley found herself a bit tired from cheering. Stopping for a moment with a smirk on her face she took a drink of pumpkin juice. Glancing down the table the slytheirns seemed to be all in good humor right now. It was a sort of nice change form their usual foul disposition and harsh glances. It made the brunette cheerful insude despite the reason they were happy. She told herself again as long as it didn’t go to far, it wouldn’t be to bad. The box soon finished passing down their table and someone pulled it to the far end and left it at the end where people didn’t sit. Their table was abou two thirds the way filled, and the box sat all lonley at the end awaiting the rest of the slytherin group to get their dibbs on their own buttons.

The brown eyed girl looked at her brother who was still cheering as parts of the table finished their house song. She found herself laughing despite the mean thought behind them singing and laughing as they were. Riley tried to stop laughing but it just made her laugh even more until she then sneezed. After sneezing she finally stopped laughing as he brother laughed at her sneeze. She told him to hush with an angry face which made him laugh even more. She ignored him and grabbed a pastrie in front of her. Sticking her tounge out at him she took a bite. her sneezing didnt seem to stop. Which on top of the idea of these pins annoyed her. The slytherin once more wondered for the millionth time today, what the rest of the day would hold. She did expect the idea of the pins, but yet...That was her house for you. They all seemed to want to make fun and poke at other people. Sometimes that was actually a really good thing. And Riley herself had to admit she'd done it on a few occasions; But not nearly as much as the others. This she took comfort in, and was sort of proud of. She didnt want to be as her brother and cousin who were always picking on others. Riley sneeezed again, which interupted her though. Soon she began listening to others around her and laughing again.
