[Sorry for the delay... ><;;]

Karin gazed at Suka as he spoke, very slowly taking in everything he said. She recalled after a moment that Yuri was the person he said he'd followed here, as she'd come after Kana. Speaking of which, she really needed to find that girl... Karin frowned and refocused her attention again. She listened as he spoke about the war, packs, and Nightmare forms, shifting slightly on her feet as she did. Her eyes had dropped the floor for a moment as she thought it all over, but jerked up again as he mentioned stealing power.

As he came to the part about their last time at an alter and she bit her lip, listening carefully as her ears perked towards him further. Her eyes actually widened slightly as he said he'd stolen from the heavens. And I... helped him? she thought suddenly, staring at him almost fearfully, especially when he mentioned using her. She blinked in surprise, glanced to the ground, and then looked back at him. She saw him look away, imagined that he must be feeling guilty or something, but still she couldn't keep herself from asking one final question. "What... would have happened to me?" she asked softly. "If you did have to use me?"

Suka shook his head "I don't know...you might have died...probably would have died...but it didn't happen and I only know as much as I do because it's over already. If it'd happened that way I'd probably end up trying to figure out a way to find out what exactly had happened. For now..I'd like to drop that for a bit......it didn't happen...that's a good thing." he said and continued to look at the ground. he did not want to look at her for he was afraid of what he might see in her expression. He shuddered a bit as he thought about what he might see if he looked up.

Karin's eyes widened firther as she took in Suka's words. That's what she had been afraid of. If it had been something invovling pain, she could have waved it off, but death...? She closed her eyes tightly for a moment, biting her lip anxiously again. She had been tempted to follow after him, but was now very relieved she hadn't. He had warned her though. He had chosen not to use her and made an effort not to do so. She supposed she was pretty lucky for wanting to climb that tree earlier too... She sighed, then very slowly raised her head to face him. Maybe she was just trying to hard not to lose the only friend she'd made in years, but she wasn't mad. She was just... a little nervous. He was right. It hadn't happened so there was no need to dwell upon it. "Alright," she said quietly. "We can drop it for... a while..."

Suka nodded, glad that she'd sad this, and hearing the tone in her voice he diecided that he'd look back up at her. He sighed a bit as he did so, and though he tried not to he apologized again. "I'm sorry" He said it quick, ashamed that he even needed to apologize. He slipped off of the tree feeling the pain was gone and hugged her quick because he was happy that she didn't yell at him or anything for his statement about using her, for her agreeing to drop it, for her helping him in the frist place, and because he was sorry all at the same time. He let go quicly afte though and stuck his hands in hi s pockets..."..."

Karin saw him look at her finally and smiled softly in response, her tail flicking almost weakly behind her. She exhaled softly as she bowed her head, shaking it slightly as she heard him apologize once more. Her ears drooped but she glanced up at him again as he dropped from the tree. She blinked a couple times, tilting her head to the right, wondering if he really was ok to stand already. Yet, before she could even open her mouth, she found herself in his arms. Her eyes widened in surprise, her face flushing red. But then he suddenly stepped back, stuffing his hands awkwardly in his pockets.

She started at him a moment, then let out a small laugh, which slowly grew into a real one. She covered her mouth with her hands, her face still red as she tried to stop herself. She wasn't sure why she was laughing. Maybe it was from relief, and partly because she was really tired, and a bit from the hug and his abruptness at pulling away again. But she finally stopped herself and glanced back up at him, one hand still lightly covering her mouth. "I'm... glad you're alright," she grinned, voice slightly muffled through her fingers.

Suka blinked a couple of times as she laughed, pulling his hands out of his pockets and looking over at where all of his stuff was, on the ground under the tree. He noded distractedly when she said she was glad and absent mindedly a "That's good" came from his lips as he ducked under the branch and headed over to where everything had seemingly piled up. He still had a cit in his pockets, they were large enough for him to fit that much in it, but when he got over here what had caught his eye was that there was something here that was not there before. He sat down under the tree looking over everything and picking up a white cross...not even acrusifix but more of an 'X'. He looked over it, it looked of ivory but when he moved his hand away he rubbed off whatever substance was making it look like that and saw that it was some kind of crystal ather than ivory. He did not see anything else different, and he now hoped that this thing had nothing to do with the power he'd just supposedly sent to his realm, though he did not see how it could be. He dropped the cross grabbing the rest of his things and stuffed them back in his pocket, his dagger, a couple papers, and a few marbles that were in a bag as all that was on the ground.

Karin blinked, slowly pulling her hands away and instead adjusting the headphones that'd been hanging around her neck. She bit her tongue to keep from yawning and watched him move back towards the tree and gather his things after giving a rather absent response to her words. But she shrugged this off and falled slightly after him, peering curiously at the X he was examining and frowning slightly as he dropped it, and then put away many other various objects, all of which she gazed curiously at before they faded from view. She glanced curiously down at the X he'd dropped, tilting her head at it.

[Wait! Did he drop the cross on the ground, or put it in his pocket? Because I might have to edit this post. xP]

Suka blinked a couple of times as he looked down at the object and scooted back a bit as he looked at it glow in the light coming from the sun beginning to move downward again at the hour of the day that it was. He moved behind Karin slowly as he crawled away from it and stood up. "Um...do you know what that is?" He asked quietly doubting she would but if she did he wanted to know too.

Yugure stood up and looked around. " Ow," she said as she felt her back on firer. "I need a new cloak," she said as she wraped it around her tight. " Ow I hate the sun and anything that has to deal with light," she yelled as she leaned agaisn't the tree.

Karin's eyes dropped to the X as she stared in fascination, and she didn't look up at Suka's question. She simply shook her head slowly, not pulling her eyes away and even crouching down to see it better. "No, but... it's really cool," she breathed, but didn't want to touch it just yet. It might ruin the effect the sun was having upon it. She glanced over her shoulder and up at him. "It's not yours?" she asked, wishing badly to add a request if she could have it. But first she had to see if it was his. She couldn't just leave it there though. It was to wonderful! She laughed softly at herself, wondering if it was just the cat instinct loving the shiny object.

Suka shook his head and scooted back a bit more and looked down at it. "i don't like it...I don't know how it got teir but it's a bit convienient that something like that would just appear out of nowhere after I do something like I just did." he siadn and then pulled himself to gether and let out a breath "If you want to hold on to it.....you can" he said seeing the way she was eyeing it and hoping that it would not mess with her head if he let her keep it for a while...possibly not just for a while, as long as he could find out what it was before it was given a chance to do anything that might harm her..."It..it's a bit late now huh?" he said looking straight at the sun and hen blinking a few times as he did.

Karin glanced back at him, finally looking away as saw him scooting away. She blinked at him curiously, not seeing what was so scary about this item. But as he said she could kep it for a while, her face lit up excitedly. "Ok, thank you!" she cried and slowly reached out, touching it first before actually picking it up, almost as if she expected it to be hot. She held the X in her hand for a moment and then slowly turned around to focus on Suka again. She tilted her head as he glanced at the sun, and then laughed. "You're going to go blind," she said playfully. "But it is a bit late..." As soon as she said this, she felt the need to yawn again, but bit her tongue to stop it like she had before.

Suka looked away from the Sun and back down to her again when she said that wanting to laugh but for some reason not being able to. He thought for a moment about the time of day and then stuck his hands back in his pockets. "I guess it is..." he said and then quietly he looked up in the tree and then bback down to her. "I don't really feel very tired though...seems it's been a long day though huh?" he asked quietly as he kept from looking back at the Sun. He stood there quietly, starting to think about whether or not he'd want to find a particular place to stay at...there were dorms but he'd never slept in a bed his entire life.

Karin got to her feet, stretching her arms over her head, the X still clutched in one hand. She spun around to face him, her tail flicking lazily behind her as she tilted her head to the right. "Not tired?" she echoed. "Not even a little bit? Because it really does feel like it's been a long day..." She sighed quietly, though she was still smiling to herself. She suddenly turned away, hand covering her mouth to try and hide her yawn. Then she slowly turned back to face him again. "Um..." she began slowly as she glanced around. "What do we do now?" She blinked at him, head still tilted curiously, hair yet again covering the right eye.
