Courtyard (North)

She looked up as she listened to them, giggling and laughing at how Rayna acted and figited.

"Oh me? I'm 18. Yeah I know pretty old to be in this school huh? Kinda stuck here for mine and other's protection."

She laughed at herself and shook her head as she stared at the fountain for a moment.  

[The Razz]

Charlie shook his head, smiling. "Nah, me and Rayna knew someone who was twenty one at Rayna's old school, but she wasn't a student. Right, Rayna?" he asked. Rayna looked up and nodded, smiling, remembering Maddie. "Yeah, she's the one who trained me for..." she trailed off, a sad look on her face. She looked down at her hands, the memory of what had happened flooding her mind. The same thing must've gone through Charlie's head, for he changed the subject. "Yeah, I'm fifteen, and Rayna's fourteen." he told Hakai, running a hand through his light brown hair.

"Ah, you see now those are ages for a school." She wasn't going to push the subject, she had things she wasn't willing to talk about either.

"I'm here to study about myself, get the education I missed out on due to the moving around...and most of my family consider me a deliqent and a threat. Bah they never wanted me around anyway."

Rayna looked up at her with somewhat sad eyes. At least she has a family... she thought, biting her lip. She then shook thought out of her head. No, she wasn't going to start feeling sorry for herself. She scooted over so she was now on the side of both Hakai and Charlie. "Ahh, I see. My father, sister and I ran an inn together in a small town. That's where we met Rayna." Charlie said. Rayna nodded. "As I said, I was travelling. And if you don't mind me asking...what was your family like?" she asked Hakai.

Hikari walked into the courtyard, her sister following close behind. "Ayame-chan, are you alright? You're acting different." Hikari asked Ayame. She was worried, because her sister didn't talk as much anymore, and she was always close. It's difficult being on a highschool campus when you're only four. Ayame learned that the hard way.

Ayame shook her head and said quietly, "I-I'm okay. Honest." She looked down at her boots, her sister wearing the same kind. They wore the same thing often, just different colors. Hikari was wearing a white tanktop, black skirt, and black boots. Ayame was wearing a black tanktop and a white skirt with black boots. Ayame sighed, seeing two older ladies talking to eachother, immediatly taking cover behind her sister.

Hakai's eyes grew wide, then filled with sadness as she looked down with a small sigh. There was a long silence before, long enough for someone to change the subject just before she spoke out.

"I...well I I think they were herbalist...we had a pretty large farm land type area. My father would leave from time to time for supplies and whatnot. I don't remember too much about them to be perfectly honest. My mother was murdered because she her abilities were found out and people started to think she was bringing a curse on the land. My father never returned home, and I was hidden away. I as then brought to the city and from there I was moved around from house to house, the rest of the family knew about my mother and they feared that I was a monster 'just like her' they always treated me like I was a nusence and I'd hear them say at night that they wished I was killed as well."

She let out a long sigh, running her fingers through her long hair beforing staring back at the fountain, her eyes locked on the dragon and pheonix.

"Sometimes I wish the same. I was like I had no family. They never treated me like I ever was family...I was a stranger to them basicly...and they were strangers to me."

Rayna and Charlie listened to her story, Rayna nodding in understanding. She reached over and grabbed onto Hakai's hand, looking up at her. "W-When I was little....all my family died. M...Murdered, really. I was on my own for three years." she told her soflt.y Charlie looked over at Rayna, his eyes a bit wide. Lately, she had seemed to be a little more open about her past, and he wondered how many people she would tell, and how much. "Rayna...." Charlie said quietly. He was worried how Rayna felt, remembering the things she had gone through. He glanced at her leg, knowing that that's where one of her scars were. He winced, looking down a bit, and back up to Rayna.

Zuno ran his hand through his blue hair as he opened and streched his wings. He sat at a nearby tree and looked around at all the life around the school. He opened his bag and took out a oicture of his mom and dad. It was an old picture, for it was fading. Zuno whiped a tear away and placed the picture back in his bag. He then began to smoothen the feathers of his wings.

Hakai looked down and smiled, nodding to Rayna, patting Rayna's hand with the other.

"I'm sorry to hear that Rayna. I really am." She sighed and shook her head. "I just wish I could remember more. I was young when it happned." she pulled her hair back behind her head. "Hell I didn't even know I had the abilities I could do until a few...months ago really."

Ayame slowly moved her head to see the people talking. She blinked a few times, trying to remember her past family. truth be told, though, she couldnt remember anything from before. She walked over to a tree and hid behind it, her sister following along. Their heads popped out from behing the tree, almost as if they were spying.

Hikari watched all the people talking, haviong fun playing spy. This is how she and Ayame used to play together, always having fun. That was when they were around three, though. "What if they spot us?" Hikari asked quietly.

Zuno noticed that he was bleeding. "Must've caught some debris or something." He said. He placed his palm over the wound and concentrated. His cut sterted to mend itself and the bleeding stopped. It finished healing with a small scar not visible to the naked eye. He let go of his wing and stood up. He began flapping slightly and was in the air. He was circling the tree for excercise.

Rayna looked up at her with solemn eyes, nodding. Though it happened so long ago, Rayna could remember vividly of what had happened, though she had been asleep when her parents and little brother had died. How she could remember, she didn't know. But somehow, she did. She must've dreamnt it while it happened. Rayna pulled her hand away, only to have her other one be taken by Charlie once more. She didn't seem to mind. "We've all had it a bit rough, then." Charlie said quietly.

Rayna's fox ears then twitched, the multiple earrings in them jingling a bit. She looked over to a nearby tree and indeed, spotted them. Her sharp senses from being half demon were useful in that way. "Who's over there?" she called. But it wasn't an overly paranoid term- it was sort of welcoming.

Hakai felt one of the leaves from the tree fall on her head. Looking up to make sure a squieral wasn't going to fall next her eyes went wide, those were the biggest sque...wait those were people. Her eyes went wide as she squeeked and fell backwards onto the ground.

"W...What the hell is that?" She pointed up.

Yuina's cat tail flicked back and forth as she stood up, seeing the boy with wings flying around the tree. She walked up to two girls. Her eyes were now following the boy with wings. "Do you know who that is?" Her voice held a bit of curiousity in it as her cat ears stood straight up on her head as her tail remained flicking back and forth.
