More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Liv was had just finished her epic quest for a cowboy had. Which had succeeded. She felt great at the moment and didn't think twice to show it. She moved as if she was walking down a catwalk. Her pace was slow but steady. Enjoying the gazes of the guys and a few woman, she wondered what she should do next.

"Don'tcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?" Liv's cellphone rang with one of her favorite song. The p***y Cat Dolls with Don't Cha. That song was about her and she knew it. Her mood brightened up even more when she heard Trinity.

"Oh hi Trinity! Anything for you baby and you know it! Right now I'm in the garden. You gonna pick me up?"

Gidget's ears pick up on the other half of the conversation over the phone. Something about this girl's eagerness to help doesn't settle well with her.

"Trinity, could you please bring her back here? I'd like to speak with her if that's okay."

Trinity nodded confirming she got that request and judging by the request she guessed that Gidget suspected something Could she be the mole? she wondered briefly, she would admit that Liv was one of her suspects but kept dismissing her because she was being hunted down by Daedalus. She continued with the phone call without missing a beat,"Yeah, I'll pick you up within two clicks. See you shortly." she hung up the phone. She dropped through her shadow emerged behind Liv, "Hi Liv" she said and put her hand on her shoulder. They drop through the shadow and emerged from a dark corner "This is The CEO of Valhalla, Agatha Morris, goes by the name Gidget" she gestured toward her. She gestured toward her sensai, "This is my sensei, Teshoumaru Soichi."

"Kyaa!" Liv let out in an high pitched voice when she fell through the floor with Trinity. Instantly she turned around, held Trinity tight and squeezed her eyes shut. Normally she would do this for fun but now it was just a reaction to the sudden drop.

When she felt solid ground under her feet again, she opened her eyes but didn't let go of Trinity. She didn't expect to have hit the bingo.

"Well that.....surprised me." Liv said as she let go of Trinity and placed her left hand on her chest. She extended her right to shake Gidget's hand and afterwards, Teshoumaru.

"Good to finally meet you Gidget. I'm Liv. That's...kinda obvious now that I think about it..tehe.." Liv said as she introduced herself. She waved with her left to Teshoumaru.

Teshoumaru gives a polite nod to Liv.

Gidget stands and smiles pleasantly then returns the handshake. She takes this moment to scan the Liv's face and pull up any personal records. At first she doesn't see anything out of the ordinary, but then pulls up her Daedalus file. So this girl is a possible escapees.

"It's nice to meet you too. Escaping from Daedalus is no easy task. It must have been difficult. How are you finding your stay here so far?"

"Yeah...it was" She said casting her eyes away from Gidget as if they were painful memories.

"Oh this place is great Gidgy!"Liv said cheerfully already using nicknames" Got a huge room for myself and Amanda. She's a real sweetheart. I should check up on her soon. See how she is doing.Physically and mentally." The last part was more to herself than to Gidget.

Her eyes suddenly wide open as if she remembered something. Which she did.

"Say...is it possible to suddenly lose your powers? Because last night during the chaos I met a very young girl who lost her powers. And this morning it still hasn't returned." Liv asked carefully as if to trying to formulate it as best as possible.

Because Gidget has no emotions, she is able to easily disguise her expression and question in an inquisitive manner as opposed to a scrupulous one.

"No, it's not possible unless there is an outside variable. Like from a person who could cancel out or drain powers. Who are you referring to? I haven't received any notification about one of our residents losing their powers."

"Kind of stupid of me but...I didn't ask her name. Last night I was comforting her because she wanted to go home. I promised I'd help. This morning I asked her how she was holding up. But she was a cute lil' kid. Black hair with 2 pigtails, brown eyes and she used to be able to Animate objects. Like a rubber ducky as if it was alive." Liv summed up.

"You...you think there's someone stealing powers from Meta's?" Liv asked carefully" Because I am not feeling very comfortable with that..."

Gidget starts an active scan of Liv's vitals and muscular movement. If Liv is lying, this would allow her to catch any lies.

She rifles through her student files and finds the girl in question. "Erica Matthers." Gidget sends a notice for a teacher to check in on the girl and assess the situation.

"It's definitely strange, Liv. This is the first time I have ever seen such a case. Leech's are few and far between. We don't have any registered here, and as far as I know Daedalus hasn't managed to sneak anyone into Valhalla. Although yesterday would've been the perfect opportunity to do so. I'd have to agree with you. It is certainly unsettling."

"So...that's why they didn't attack yesterday.."Liv muttered to herself.

"Just thought you should be aware of that. Umm...Trinity said she needed help with something?"

Gidget can tell that the girl is getting fidgety. But that could go either way. She makes a note to keep an eye on this one and allow Trinity to stay close to her.

"Yes, she thinks that your power to bend light could come in handy against a potential opponent in the near future. I'll let her explain."

Trinity nodded to Gidget, she brings up Freya's profile which included a photo. "Freya Soichi,she is Teshoumaru's sister and also my sensai, she, like Teshou and I are shadow metas. Unlike me however they are linked to shadow wolves. For Freya it means she can use the power of that wolf and even shift parts of her body to give herself an edge. She is very well versed in the martial arts.

Recently however, Freya is under Daedalus' control. In my battle recently I was able to use this.." she drew her glaive, a scythe-like weapon, which was based on what her ancestor wielded. She lit it up "While it was lit I was able to slash through her shadow manipulations. So I was thinking you may be able to do the same with your light ability. What do you think?" she asked as she turned the glaive off and let it drop through her shadow.

"Well...I suppose that could work. But...you really want me to fight her? . I know it makes sense to 'send' me in because I have complete control over light and can heal. But I wouldn't know what to do with her. Stop her from escaping, disable her or something like that?" Liv said as she was considering it. She really didn't want to fight someone like Freya.

"But since you asked...." She clapped her hands together as if she had made up her mind." One condition, if Erica's power show no signs of returning, take her to a foster care. Right now she's a normal girl...she shouldn't be here." Liv said softly because she really wanted Erica to live a normal life. Away from all troubles that come from being a Meta.

"I can agree to that. But it isn't my decision to make. What say you Gidget?" she asked her head facing Gidget.

Gidget is silent for a moment. She is carefully studying Liv, perplexed by her reasoning for allowing Erica to go home. Certainly Gidget would allow the girl to leave. Anyone in Valhalla is free to go as they please. There was something about the way she stated her normalcy.

"She is free to come and go as she pleases. If she wants to go into foster care, that is her prerogative."

Gidget turns and takes a few steps away from Liv, approaching her work bench. She activates her type three detection. This girl, Liv, could most certainly just be a concerned resident of Valhalla. But if she has the ability to sap powers like the girl from the day before, well then Gidget feels that minor caution isn't enough. She opts to take a gamble, and turns back toward Liv.

"Erica felt conflicted about her powers from the day she arrived here. She though is was her fault Daedalus took her parents. I supposed now she wont have to worry about her powers. It doesn't fix the situation with her parents, but it's a start in the the healing process. It was kind of you to relieve her of the "burden," but in the future I'd prefer if you think about the big picture as opposed to the small chunk of one explained to you by a child."
