Good point, Voxxxie. I like the Ametris way better--the stronger, better family name gets tacked onto everyone. If they're equal, the one with more family wins.

Which works out well, because if Everan and Kamile ever got married, what the heck would they do? everan doesn't HAVE a last name. So good thing they'd adopt Kamile's anyway--chosen=win.
