More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Actually Liv had no idea on how to proceed with her next move. Right she wouldn't have minded if she had a little more brain instead of a beautiful body. A thought that she discarded quickly. She couldn't any way of using her powers nor draining a person without being suspicious. But then she got an idea. It would take concentration but she could pull it off. Now she needed to know when to do it. But first she went to get some food. Because it's hard to do anything on an empty stomach. Liv was pretty sure that Gidget would go over every single file of her that she could find. Good thing Liv was smart enough to kill all of her previous victims after draining them. Even better she made it look like random violence against Meta's

Since Theonis always lets his hair dry for the most part after a shower it was rather fluffy right now. It always gets big and fluffy after he showers. He didn't mind. This has been a great day so far. Every since Angel or Tansy whoever was on at that time let him tag along to Valhalla, things got better for him. Thinking he should thank her for that he went on with his grinding. So far he had finished all of the math that he would have learned in 4 those years of college. Well....before he left anyway. He was about halfway with Physics . Something he had always found to be interesting but never really took the time for it.

Gidget nods with an exasperated sigh. "Unfortunately that suspicion is all that I have to go on. Daedalus has a file on her from when she was incarcerated there, but no mention on her having power leeching capability. But then again that may be exactly what they want. Personal records show that she had a sister who died during the first meteor show thirteen years ago. My guess would be that's when she got her own powers."

Gidget sat in contemplative silence for a moment. Something isn't sitting right with her. Her thoughts trail back to that time, when the biggest story that week wasn't how many people died during the shower. No, the biggest story was the one that ran away from her own funeral. It was easy for those incidents to go unnoticed. "Unfortunate accidents" they were called. Gidget isn't so sure.

"There are a number of ways I can either confirm or dismiss my suspicion, but several of them borderline on unethical. It's just all to convenient. I mean, there is no way Daedalus could have orchestrated Shane's escape. But to have Liv show up here shortly before it happened, and then Erica loses her powers. Liv was the only one who said anything about that. You didn't get any sort of notice about that did you?"

"No I haven't either and that's a red flag right there." she scrolls through her smart phone just to be sure.

"The last notification I got was from Lt. Mitchell Samson who indicated that there was a meta sprout. It pointed out that they were in discussion with Liz to see what would be the best way to proceed with repairing the safe house. I see he sent you the e-mail too."

"Yes he did, and to be blunt I don't know if repairing that safe house is the best thing to do. Matron's sapling needs to be taken care of, as do the people it's mother was protecting. We may have to force them to stay in Valhalla. At least until we can find somewhere else safe for them to be."

"Perhaps...or it could be re-designed to protect themselves better. I was thinking perhaps we could get the sprout to grow faster so that it could maintain the role as guardian. Yet I'm afraid it would be unfair for the sprout..."

She paused for a moment at what she said. Wondering if she was very much like that sprout. Was it because her ancestor's role that meant that she had to follow it? Would the same choices been made if she never knew about her ancestor? Would she and Gidget have crossed paths? If it wasn't for Gidget she wouldn't have known about Valhalla. It didn't seem to effect her much growing up, yet now she holds her ancestor's charm around her neck and replica of her ancestor's glaive. Heck she even cut her hair to look more like her. Granted looking up to her ancestor did effect her decisions about her looks but what about other parts of her life. Did it effect her choosing Theonis even? Even generations apart? Thoughts of destiny, having her path already chosen for her, had often bothered her.

Thinking about Theonis for a brief moment made her realize she needed tell Gidget something. She had been hesitant about telling her about the relationships she's in because right now she can't share the same thing. At least not in the same way.

"There's something else I need to update you on... on a tad more of the personal level..."

"The sapling is a completely unexpected result of Matron's death. The story goes that she was one of the first Metahumans. She could control plants. She became so disillusioned by the direction humanity was taking that she fused her body with a tree. Despite her hatred toward humanity, she loved children. I'm not sure how much of that is true, but it's a nice story."

At the mention of a personal update Gidget jokingly asks, "What's up, did you find yourself a boyfriend while on the hunt for my brother?"

Trinity looked down trying to hide her blush when Gidget practically nailed it. She cleared her throat to calm her nerves. "Actually... pretty much, yah. It happens to be the guy we met this morning, Theonis Richards. We just started talking and we really hit it off." she watched Gidget carefully its very hard to tell if she would be okay about this. One could say Gidget has a very good poker face. This type of news tend to be a major thing that reminded her of what she was. She rubbed her arm a little.

Gidget can tell that Trinity is a bit apprehensive about telling her about Theonis. She knows why, and it annoys her. She wishes that people would stop walking on eggshells around her just because of her condition.

But Gidget puts on a pleasant face and grins, "Why Trinity Smith. Are you telling me that you actually have a soft side underneath that hardened exterior of yours. Who would have thought? Well what are you doing here then when you could be with him sexing it up."

One thing Gidget loves to do is make people uncomfortable when it comes to relationships. Its her little bit of payback.

Trinity got a little flustered as Gidget made her remark, then frowned a little Soft? Geez... maybe this whole thing is a bad idea if this is the verbal abuse I'm getting. I worked hard for that tough exterior...oh well...I'd gladly do it all over again for Theonis... She smiled at the thought of him again and took a deep breath. "I still have a job to do and he's well aware that he's not going to be in the way of that no questions asked. Also, I felt it was important that you hear it from me... No hiding."

She wanted to ask 'are you going to be okay about this?' But asking that would only make matters worse or annoy her further. So she with held that query.

Laughing in anticipation of his own ability he continued his studies.These few hours away from Trinity turned out to be pretty productive. So far he had achieved a Math Bachelor degree, a nice level of Physics and a decent understanding of the stock market. Now that last one was what he was really getting into. This way he could make tons of money.It also combined nicely with his new Math degree. Still anticipating the stocks and how people would react to certain events proved to be more difficult since most of that was something you gained by actually investing. After opening an account at his bank he started to do a little investing. Just small sums of cash for the moment. But enough for him to study the effects of it. No matter how small.

"Don't worry about me I'll figure out something... perhaps I'll try some training too. 'Whats-his-name' did advice acrobatics... maybe I'll give that a shot..."

"Alright then, let's go!" Deora said happily. Now that she wouldn't have the guilt of ditching a friend distracting her, she was more excited about training. She was already wondering who would be teaching her, how they would teach. Would there be a set style, or would the method depend on the person? Would there even be anyone to teach her?

"Gawd, always so serious. It's okay for you to have a personal life outside of work Trinity. You don't have to be all alone just to make me feel better. Now go and have fun, that's an order."

She makes a shooing motion with her hands.

Trinity nodded and smiled,"Yes ma'am. Oh, one more thing, he is planning on sticking around so I got him registered in the database. I'll see you later." She exits the lab. Although seemed Gidget simplified things. Trinity had rarely taken a day off and even when she was sick she still answered the call. Having life outside of work? How? Danger could happen at any moment and lives will be at risk. Until they bubble wrap the world and make sure people don't go crazy, she can't truly have a life outside of work.

She walked to his dorm, she was going to knock but paused. She remembered the last thing she mentioned before training with her sensei. What if he doesn't want to see her again? Her hand lowered, as did her eyes. Too many times the job gets in the way, heck the reason why things don't last so long as a day, they couldn't keep up, get frustrated or overprotected. Nothing lasted, it was just the heat of the moment, a fling, nothing deep. There was a saying an actress said in a movie relationships based on intense experiences never work.... She certainly knew that first hand. She looked away from the door then remembered...that sparks between them... happened before things picked up. Perhaps there may be a chance because of how it started and knowing how he responded before to her warning she knew he was determined to make this work. As she came to that conclusion she smiled knowing what his answer was. She knocked on the door.

Studying the small changes he started to realize or think that if he were to keep this up, he might be able to find the smallest of changes and use that for his own advantage. But he knew he was a long way from being able to do so.

He got up and stretched, since he had been sitting there focused for quite some time now. Then someone knocked on the door. As he walked over he wondered who it could be. Trinity would more likely shadow travel. At least that was his impression of her. He was pleasantly surprised when he did see when he opened the door.

"For the beautiful head of security to visit me in person...Am I in trouble Ma'am?" He asked playfully.
