Kana leaned over to see the book better, then glanced back up at him in surprise. "You can do magic too?" she exclaimed in surprise, eyes widening. "That's amazing!" She watched him put away the book and then blinked at his next words. "Do... I want to fly?" she repeated in shock. "How is... can you do that?" She stared at him for a moment longer, her eyes then switching to his outstretched hand. She swallowed, shifting nervously in place. She'd never gone off the ground and the sudden offer had her anxiously. The highest she'd gone was in a tree, but then she was at least still attached to something... But she suddenly gained a look of determination and she reached and clapsed his hand. "Yes!" she said excitedly.

Karin nodded slowly, still messing with the grass. "Yes, we've known each other since we were both really little, a few years before my parents died." She paused, a faint smile coming over her face as she recalled it, though it wasn't entirey pleasent. "The very first time we met, I found her getting picked on and went to help. And... our friendship just grew from there." She looked up at him, smiling a bit more fully. "Do you have someone like that?" she asked hesitantly, hoping after she'd asked that it wasn't invading on something he didn't want to talk about.

The ring on Zuno's hand began to glow. Zuno opened his wings and slowly started to levitate off the ground. With the power of the ring, Kana was also in the air with Zuno. "Whatever you do, do not let go off me unless I tell you. This might be uncomfortable at first..." he said adjusting in midair. "...but you'll get used to it." he said as he took off into the sky with Kana. He started slowly and was now picking up speed little by little. His glanced changed from the sky to Kana. "You okay?"

Kana's eyes darted to the suddenly glow as she realized it was coming from the ring he was wearing. The next thing she knew, she was off the ground. Her eyes widened fearfully as she clung more tightly to Zuno's hand. She glanced over at him at the warning and slowly nodded her hand, not trusting herself to speak right now. She knew her voice would be shaking like crazy, or just not come out at all. She felt their speed increasing and shut her eyes, but that made it worse so she quickly opened them again. She glanced down at her ears flattened nervously back against her head. But she blinked at him at the questiod and slowly nodded again. "Y-yes!" she stammered, speaking louder than needed in her haste.

"Noone still living..." Suka said this slowly. "If anyone was to replace the person from back then then I would say Yuri would be closest...though...we're both friends and enemies if that makes sense" he said this and looked confused about it himself. He shrugged this off though and asked her another question. "How bad will it be for Kana to find out who youre friends with?" He'd been thinking about this as soon as Kana had heard the bad news about Karin's parents.

Karin looked up hesitantly as he replied, tilting her head as he mentioned Yuri again. Then a sudden thought occurred to her as she recalled him tossing a book at that boy in the library who smelled like fox and wolf. She blinked and then slowly asked, "Yuri... is that who was in the library?" She hoped she wasn't wrong, because then she'd feel like an idiot for making the assumption. She paused though, as she heard his next question. Then she frowned. "Do you mean... you?" she asked hesitantly. "Because Kana would probably simply bow and cheerfully introduce herself. She's much too accepting..." Karin sighed, glancing back over to check on the girl. But her eyes widened as she saw them in the sky instead. "Gah, you see?" she muttered. "She's trusting her life to that stranger right now!"

Zuno looked down at Kana, smiling. He was glad that she was having a good time. He took themselves down near the ground but still in the air.
"Kana...I am flying low because I want to try something. Dont be scare...but slowly let go of my hand." he said looking into her eyes as he knew she would protest to such a drastic command that could send her down to the ground.

 

[le Ikari]

"................huh?.....ugh..i guess i fell asleep......*yawn*.......i wonder if that sparring match is still up for grabs......i'll check later" Ikari says as he sits up. After a few minutes of stretching, Ikari notices that the cat girl that was sleeping the previous day was now awake. "mornin'" he says to Suka and Karin. "wait........is it still morning?" he asks

Suka could not see for he was still on the other side of the tree and not looking in the right direction. "I suppose...though he's not of the same race of the people that used to do those...things to you." The part of what he said that came after a short pause was spluttered out so quick because he did not know what he should have called it. He gesture with his hand toward her side though it was short and quick and then he let his eyes fall to the ground again. "And yes that was Yuri..." he said this as if the other part of their conversation was more important.

Karin blinked, tilting her head at how quickly Suka said the part of his sentence. She placed a hand over his side as he indicated it and nodded her head in understanding. That was a relief, somewhat... She had discovered recently that all wolves were not so bad though. She blinked again as he so quickly said it was Yuri as well. "Then... did you not have something to say? I mean, you followed him, right?"

She looked up, ears perking as someone spoke from nearby. She blinked for a second, unsure if he was speaking to her, as she didn't know him. But then she realized no one else was around and slowly nodding here head. "Um, hello...?" she began uncertainly.

Kana blinked as she realized they were lowering and glanced down before looking back at him. She blinked at the request, her eyes widening. "Wh-what?" she stammered. "But then... won't I fall? You said not to let go!" But she saw him gazing at her and stared back for a moment, falling silent. Then she slowly nodded, biting her lip nervously as she very hesitantly pulled her hand from his. She shut her eyes tightly, bracing herself to fall to the ground below. Hopefully that saying would hold true, and she would be able to land on her feet.

Upon releasing his hand, Zuno quickly manuevered his hands and they were suddenly glowing a white shroud. Kana had her eyes close but Zuno wasnt even breaking a sweat. Kana was floating...no flying. "You can open your eyes now. The spell is working." Zuno said as he circled her to show her she was doing it on her own.

Suka ignored the man who had greeted them, he had decided to dislike at least one of the people in the large confusing conversation from last night because noone else seemed to dislike any of the other people. This had been the person he decided not to like...how sad that he'd be greeted the next day by the only one he had decided how to feel about. "I have nothing to say to Yuri...not yet anyway...I'll be watching him though, because that's what I do...I've not let him down before and so I followed him because o his intentions. He's selfish and that won't get him anywhere in life..." He was extremely vague in what he said and stopped smiling yawning a bit and stretching his arms out slowly. He stretched his neck aswell and cracked it softly, his hair falling in front of his eyes on purpose this time, he felt like looking through his hairs for the time being.

"um.....good morning." he repeated to karin. gee....real friendly here ain't we? he thought, referring to Suka's ignoring Ikari. Getting up, Ikari stretched and started for the archway that leads into the building. i wonder where Taqune and Kit are...........maybe i'll see them later.

Kana's ears twitched as she heard him speak and she suddenly realized she wasn't falling. In fact, she didn't seem to be moving at all! She slowly opened one eye and peeked around nervously. Then both opened wide as she stared around before looking excitedly to Zuno. She saw him soaring around but not at all touching her. She was just suspended in mid air, with nothing supporting her at all. At first she was in shock, but she quickly snapped out of it. "I-I'm flying!" she cried suddenly, even though she was acutally floating, but that didn't occur to her. "But how...?"
