Karin quickly stopped biting her lip and frowned at him. "It's... a nervous habit," she said softly, then quieted entirely so she could listen. She breathed out slowly in relief before giving herself time to realize he'd probably seen her shiver and guessed what for, and that was why he responded to it though she hadn't said anything aloud. She sighed, bowing her head as she pulled one hand from her pocket to pluck at the grass again. "O-ok, good..." she murmured. It then occurred to her that he'd left at once point for a fight, but she refused to think any further into that.

Kana smiled proudly as she moved around a little more, starting to get the hang of it. But just as she was about to grin back at him, she saw him collide with a tree. "Ah!" she cried out in alarm as she dropped quickly towards him even before he requested her too. "Are you alrig-" She began, but then the scent of blood reached her nose and she froze, eyes widening. She dropped to the ground, then to her knees beside him as she watched anxiously. "So you... can heal yourself?" she asked tentatively.

"So how many different relationships had you been in before coming here?" He asked and stopped his spinning of the blade flipping it so it faced her instead of him and then moved his hand from palm up to palm down, forcing the dagger into the ground and leaving it there quietly as he waited for what she would reply to his question. He realized he'd been vague again, though it had not sounded that way at first and probably Karin would reply to it before noting the vagueness of his question. He thought that better anyway.

Karin paused, wondering what kind of relationship he meant. But again she didn't question it and simply replied. "Well, me and Kana have been friends since little. I liked her mom too. I got along well with my own parents... Other than that, the only other relationships I've been in were the tense ones with the bullies back home." She shrugged it off, not letting the memories have time to rush back. She tilted her head, watching him stab the dagger back into the earth and wondering why he always messed with it so often. Then again, her hand was still inside her pocket and playing with the X. She didn't ask since he might return the question and she wouldn't have a reply.

"Yes...but I have lost so much blood that I need to take the spell off you." Zuno said as he waved his hands. His hands glowed faintly and then dissapeared. He then slowly stretched his left wing, twinching at any little pain. He placed his hands as if he were in prayer and started to mutter.

After a few seconds of muttering, Zuno's hands were glowing white. He put his palms above the reachable wound and concentrated. Beads of sweat started to build on his forehead as the wound slowly begun to close and the bloodflow shortened. After a few minutes, Zuno's entire face was covered in sweat as the last part of the cut was healed.

Zuno breathed a releaving sigh. "That was the first high-energy healing spell I did." he said breathing hard. He stood up slowly for his legs were still shaky. He muttered another incantation befor waving his hands and the bloodstains were removed from his clothes and feathers.

"Thats's not very many at all is it?" He asked bluntly and crossed his arms as he sat there with her. He looked at the pocket of her jacket andsaw that it continued to move as it seemed to do often when she had her hand in her pocket. He thought he might ask aboiut the other types of relationships later, for now he was not concerned with that type of thing. He didn't have to concern himself with any of her business though he chose to anyway. It seemed he asked a lot more questions then he answered and that was unfair, sooner or later that might change the other way around...once he knew her better.

Kana blinked, biting her lip anxiously as she remained watching from a short distance so she wouldn't get in the way. She couldn't help stare in awe as his wing stretched out, even though she saw it was hurting him. A wave of guilt washed over her as she did as her ears drooped sadly. Her eyes followed his movements as he began muttering to himself, then widened slightly as she saw his hands glowing white. She watched him in a sort of horrified fascination. Horrified because he was hurting, but fascinated because he was using magic to heal himself. As she saw it was healed and he was standing up, she slowly rose as well, still watching nervously. "Are you ok now then?" she asked softly.

"No it's... not," Karin murmured softly, ears drooping slightly. She recalled how people avoided her because of her involvement with all the bullies, so that led her to become utterly friendless. Well, except for Kana. She was the one person who'd stick by her side no matter what. So, she was going to do the same for her. Though, she was in much better spirits than Karin expected her to be. It was a pleasent surprise. She sighed quietly though, glancing back at Suka. She blinked, wondering where he was looking until she saw he was focusing on her pocket. Her hand abruptly froze, trying to keep still even though she was feeling kind of restless. At the same time though, she didn't wish to move anywhere else just yet. So she tried to sit still, yet her tail kept flicking around behind her.

[Have to go play with my little brother for a while, or I'll be kicked off my computer. >>;;]

"Yeah. I'm fine, thanks. I'm still a little banged up though. I wont be able to fly for a few more hours." Zuno said as he opened and closed his injured wing. "Have you ever seen magic before?" Zuno asked because he saw Kana's wide-eyes.

Suka shrugged, still with his hair in his eyes. He thought about the Gauntlet again and shuddered...that was the worst experience of his life and that he had sat through it all watching the people die...sometimes seeing the same people die over and over again...it seemed to him that he'd have been better off with the world dead instead of him having to go through all of that crap...though this place was changing his mind about that qucker than he'd expected. The Gauntlet was the reason that he was unable to sleeep unless under the new moon. He got one night of sleep a month and sometimes not even that...until now he had not thought he'd be able to sleep ever again...it was Yuri's decision that screwed him over. He sighed and realized where he was, having lost himself to the memories of those two years ago...that he was thinking of things such as that at a time like this confused him. He'd have to keep quiet about that and maybe he wouldn't have to explain about that part of his life...a large chunk of his life devoted to an empty goal...  

[Queen Ismaire]

Ismaire had been listening to their conversation for an hour, she hadn't noticed how long she had been standing there 'till her legs went numb and the sun started to dissappear behind the horizon. Her knees felt like jelly, jelly with one thousand needles pricking into the center. She slumped forward and sat near the base of a tree.

Rubbing her ankles as she tried to ease away the pain, Ismaire realized that Kanako hadn't come back for her yet. This is unlike her.....we're usually always together....unless she found someone better to talk to.
Ismaire cringed, fighting back the tears that were threatening to escape her ruby eyes, It's just like daddy said....no one wants to be friends with a Demon Girl.

Karin blinked, tempted to move his hair from his eyes again. But he never cared when she let hers cover the right, so she'd leave him alone for now. She was still trying to keep still, and also keep from biting her lip, but it was very difficult, and her tail was flicking around even more than usual. She shifted slightly in place and her hands slowly inched out of her pocket to begin playing with the grass. She couldn't help it. She'd just woken up so her energy was renewed, yet she was simply sitting there. She suddenly recalled she'd wanted to know why Suka didn't sleep often, but bit her tongue to keep from asking. He seemed like he was possible lost in thought, and she didn't wish to shake him from it. So she just bowed her head, watching her fingers pick through the grass. Her headphones lay forgotten around her neck, tilting crooked to one side.

Kana breathed out in relief as he said he was fine. If not, she would have ended up blaming herself. Well, she did already because he'd been watching her before running into the tree. If she hadn't been distracting him, he wouldn't have been hurt... but the guilt was slightly less now that she realized he was ok. At his question, she slowly shook her head. "Um, no..." she murmured. She didn't consider the manipulation of water magic, and she kept refusing to use her own power, so those didn't count.

As she recalled it though, she began wondering if maybe her own power was the source of her fascination with all things that could fly. Maybe... maybe she could learn to fly herself if she practiced? She quickly shut her eyes. No, using her power only led to hurt, and she was trying to escape that. She jumped slightly and quickly opened her eyes again, realizing she'd lost herself in thought and that Zuno had probably been watching and wondering. I'm so weird... she thought, ears drooping again.

"So, what arts do you specialize in?" Zuno asked Kana, noticing that she was feeling down again. He walked her to a bench and they both sat down.
