i don't care what they do just IT CAN NOT BE A MARIAGE a marriage is a sacred religious ceremony between a MAN and a WOMAN

so as long as it is not a marriage i don't care it is not supported my faith

How is this spitting on marriage? The only way I could see that is if you are assuming that the couples getting married aren't really serious about it, as a rule, or will not take the vows seriously, as a rule. It would only be then that elevating the unions to the seriousness of a marriage would then be spitting on that marriage. I caution you, though, that many heterosexual unions would also be similarly spitting on the institution under that framework.

to shay you know honestly to me i don't care that there heterosexuals i just don't want to see them have a catholic wedding there that is how i view it and to me this is the smallest problem we have but the trickiest and stupidest really i mean we are all free and by free you can do what ever you want so why can they my conditions would be they can not get married in any of my churches so its NOT a real marriage and ill just sit in a corner murdering that making the voices go away i am for gay unions

Alright, let me try to sort this out here. If gay marriage were legalized, the Catholic church would be under an obligation to perform exactly 0 of them. See, since the church is governed under special 1st Amendment considerations, the state cannot compel it to perform the ceremonies. Legalized gay marriage would be a function of state recognition, not an ecclesiastical mandate.

As for your choice not to recognize marriages not performed in YOUR church, that's your personal choice. I suppose in a similar vein, for all it matters, you can choose not to recognize black weddings or Jewish weddings either. The state, however, is compelled to recognize the same rights and privileges for all its citizens, regardless of how some citizens feel about others.

ha ha ha ! that is so funny I'm not amused anymore sorry dude I'll try.The reason why i don't is well i never think cuss I'm typing you know i have vary crude knowledge of the keyboard i stopped like half way through the class.Due to me dropping out of school.Because A public school in my vary democratic state could not handle my needs i have discrapha it is worse then dyslexia i was told when i was in first grad that i would never be able to do some of the things that i can do.Like reading a non digital clock i finally got it down about a year or two ago i still struggle but it isn't getting easy er i see things backwards basically in a weird way when i was forced to copy in school.I would copy a math question down and get the answer right but it was marked wrong because the question in the book that i was copying from said i was supposed to add the numbers.But when i was copying i subtracted it.We have vary bad educational system hear see i needed help with some stuff but with other stuff i was like a normal individual so i was in sped classes for math writing.But they would still expect me to pass sci class with NO help at all or modifications thay where making me do two plus two or something i couldn't even fathom
and then they have done criminal stuff to me and my family members that i can still sue for


Oh and for the better side i am going to a tecnacal colage and going to get my high school diplomia and im takeing a computer repair class onece we have enough money for that but im comfident

Plus, are you saying that we shouldn't demand rights for people? Doesn't that go against the whole constitution. That people should say what they believe is right? Are you saying that we shouldn't be fighting to end sexism and racism because we shouldn't ask for more rights? Should people not stand up for their rights when they are wrongly treated? If anything, this puts us on the road to a BETTER democracy, where everyone really is treated equal.

God said that being homosexual was wrong and that your not going to heaven because its against god and yah the constitution says that so do what you want while you can

i have nothing against gays... some of my friends are gay.... they know im not for gay marriage and some of them agree... besides if they r truly in luv they dont have to hav a ring to show it heart heart heart heart

im well aware of wat i said! stressed ur really buging me! okay here let me spell it out 4 you. they SHOULD drop it and although they shouldnt need it on paper if their TRULY in love, but there should be some way for them 2 get it legally done if they r that bent about it got it!?!?
