Instead of executing her plan Liv decided to lay low for now. She didn't feel comfortable in this game of chess of Robot vs Human. She never really was good at Chess. Instead she went looking for her roommate Amanda.

"I'm sorry Annie," he thinks to himself, "But she takes priority over the other metahumans. Once I've found her we'll escape together. The ones you've released should be sufficient to assist you until then."

Then something snaps in Shane's mind. He feels like something is tearing his head in half. He clasps his temples, howling in agony. His hand reaches out to the console and changes the destination as he falls to his knees. Panting heavily, he slowly stands up. "Not yet. I'm not letting it all go yet."

Suddenly the lift stops moving. Shane growls as he looks up too see several dozen laser equipped spider-bots scaling the walls of the shaft down to him.

Once again, Annie begins a coughing spell, black blood splattering the shirt of the large meta-human who held her, her vision now completely black. In anger at her own weakness she punches her leg. Swearing under her breath, she muttered between coughs, "I... I am useless... why now?"

"Shh..." hushed the meta-human who carried her. She felt him rush up a flight of stairs while she coughed again and again.

"Where's Shane?" She managed between her blood-splattering coughs.

"Didn't I say 'shh'?" He demanded and then called out once on the previous floor, "Where's the healer? Our savior needs healing!"

"Savior?" Annie demanded, her vision returning enough so she could make out a girl around ten to fifteen in the corner.

A small voice piped up from the girl, her voice shaking, "That's me... what is wrong with her?"

"Power exhaustion," the meta-human carrying Annie replied setting Annie down in front of the girl.

"I'm..." Annie coughed covering her mouth, removing her hand from her mouth she wasn't sure if new blood covered her hand or old blood did "...fine." Pushing herself up some she demanded, "Where's Shane?"

"The one with the scary power who was being chased by big robots-mechas they're called I think?" The girl asked. "He killed a guard, took his key card and took the elevator somewhere. Why? He can't be that great of a person for leaving you like this." She placed her hand on Annie's stomach and closed her eyes.

"He's gone after Gidget's body... of course," Annie muttered before coughing slightly. Already the energy the girl was transferring to her was helping her condition. "How long before I am back to normal under your care?"

"Not any time soon," replied the girl through gritted teeth. She was gaining confidence as she worked, "You made a right mess out of yourself overusing your power. What kind of person breaks into here after escaping once?"

"Someone with..." Annie coughed again, this time no blood coming. "...unfinished business here. And I am not alone."

"You sure look like you are: this Shane guy abandons you for some chick's body? I thought adults were supposed to be smart," she replied.

Annie glared at the girl and snapped, "It is complicated."

"Someone with..." Annie coughed again, this time no blood coming. "...unfinished business here. And I am not alone."

"You sure look like you are: this Shane guy abandons you for some chick's body? I thought adults were supposed to be smart," she replied.

Annie glared at the girl and snapped, "It is complicated."

Several explosions shake the underground foundation of the building. Shane ran from the machines, making a pit stop by a small arms room to pick up some weapons. The C4 made a nice hole into the lowest detention area of the facility. The guards posted there jump out of their seats and level their weapons at the settling dust. Shane backs into the room firing a SAW from the hip. The wild gunfire takes out the last drone as he drops the weapon and steps into the room further. The guards take notice that he seems to be bleeding heavily from a stump where his left arm used to be. His eyes are wild with blood lust as he slowly approaches the two men.

"Hold it! Don't move! I said-" His command is cut off by his own terrified sputtering when he sees something that brings up a little of what he ate earlier that day.

Shane's stump quivers as he grunts and growl. His teeth grind and bare down as it starts to pulsate and bulge. With a furious shout, a new arm erupts from the stump in an explosion of blood.

The men, their wits having now return to them, start to squeeze the triggers of their weapons. Shane rushes up to them in a fraction of a second and impales the both of them through their stomachs with his bare hands. His biomass spreads and curls around the men, breaking them down and liquifying them for consumption.

The other metahumans within the cells look on in horror, scared that they will be next. Their minds are set at ease when Shane unlocks their cells and starts to walk toward another elevator. He calls back to them, "Head up. Help Annabella Soulsmith and the others. I must finish."

"Which is also the reason why you faked your death...". Trinity knew there would come a point in time that his father would learn the truth. But she couldn't predict how and certainly did not see this coming. What are odds of the guy you met is the son of the one who experimented on your best friend's brother?

Gidget stays silent while Theonis speaks, taking in all that he is saying. She can hardly believe how well timed this opportunity is.

When there is a break in the conversation she pipes in. "So your father doesn't know you're here? Where is he right now?"

"Yeah it was Trin. And no, he doesn't. Doesn't have any clue to where I might be. Same goes for me. It's been a month since I've seen him. He stayed at work a lot. But now that the word is out that Shane is on the loose....I think he will hide somewhere deep inside of Daedelus." Theonis replied. It was hard for him. Even if he did know should he tell? It was still his father despite him creating Shane,

Gidget straightens up and speaks sincerely. "Theonis...I need to speak with your father. If he made Shane, he may know a way to unmake him."

Theonis was hesitant.but gave Gidget his number eventually.

"I doubt he can 'unmake' Shane. It's in his genes now. Maybe suppress but that's all I think." Theonis said."Just..eh...don't say you got his number from me alright?"

Gidget gives Theonis a look that would suggest that suppression isn't what she is going for. Gidget puts the number Theonis gave her into her "headphone" and dials. She waits patiently for someone on the other end to pick up.

"If you don't mind, I'll take my leave now." Theonis said and turned around."I don't need to hear this..." He gave a quick look at Trinity."You coming or staying?"

Meanwhile in a laboratory somewhere in Daedelus, a phone rang. The room was filled with hightech equipment, clean and well lit. The ring tone was nothing special. In that same lab, wearing a labcoat stood a man in his late forties. Bags underneath is eyes show that he doesn't get a lot of sleep. The stubbles on his face suggest that he hasn't been home for a few days. His brown hair was short and messy. He lid up another cigarette as the phone rang. The man let out an agitated sigh as he picked up the phone. His look changed as soon as he saw that it was an unknown number.

"Who is this? I haven't given this number to a someone in quite some time and those people have already called. So that leaves us with two questions. Who are you and how did you get this number?" The man's words were cold but laced with a hint of curiosity. It almost sounded as if he was interrogating the person who was calling

"Okay, I'll see you in a minute." Deora said as they walked back to the training facility. She sighed and scratched her head, ruffling her hair back into place, trying to get away from the angry mindset dealing with the Theonis situation had put her in. She tried to fake a smile as she walked up to Richard's desk, but all she really wanted was to kick something. Hard. "Hola, um, I was hoping to get some training." She said to Richard.

"Two questions? I can assure you Doctor, by the time this conversation is over there will be many more than two questions. This is Agatha Morris. We met once a long time ago."

Gidget sees an icon appear in her HUD. She takes note of it and addresses the problem while speaking. "Now that I've taken care of Daedalus' automatic call trace program we can speak openly."

The name Agatha Morris grabbed his attention. He knew about her of course.

"Ahh Miss Morris, it has been a while hasn't it?" Leonard said to greet her. He had to admit that he was never expecting Agatha to call.

"That answers one of my questions and for the moment I am satisfied with that. Now the only reason that I can come up with right now for you to call me is your brother. Since you allowed him escape yesterday Daedelus has moved me to a much safer location and is constantly keeping tabs on me. In case he comes to pay his maker a visit. Daedelus is very protective of its assets"
