More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Annie bit her lip briefly considering what she wanted done about Berchant. She had dreamed about torturing and killing him for a couple years now. The thought of doing so while she was at Daedalus kept her going but now... "As long as I have my son, he isn't a concern to me, honestly," Annie said. "There has been too much killing already... I am tired of it. Just let him live...."

She sighed sounding defeated, "Letting someone live isn't necessarily a bad idea, Shane, no matter how evil they may be. It isn't our job to judge people and see whether they deserve life or death. Anyhow, concerning my son or proceeding with the plan for Gidget it is up to you on our next course of action."

Shane considers his options once more. Gidget would need to be reunited with her mind as soon as possible. He is unsure of how much stimuli would make it impossible for the collection of flowing synapses that inhabit the machine to make a transfer to it's original body.

On the other hand, Dr. Berchant probably will not be willing to part with his experimental spawn. The odds of him letting the boy go without any kind of resistance is small.

"We need to ditch this bird first. Then we'll secure your son. His situation is more urgent than Gidget's. And I'll let Berchant live, though I hope you don't mind that I'll be tearing that device out of his chest. He wont die, I wont allow it, but he's going to feel every last bit of it."

Annie sighed, and replied, "Quite frankly I don't even have the energy to even cause harm to that man. I am so tired of causing pain and suffering. I have every reason to hate him, but I don't even have enough energy to hate him any more."

Frowning she continued, "All I want is my son back, his happiness, and your happiness and safety. Torturing Berchant won't achieve any of that at this point."

Deora sighed and hung her head, disappointed that she hadn't been able to do much at all. She forced herself to look on the bright side, though. She'd been practicing on glasses and bowls, and now she was trying to move an entire pool. Of course there was going to be some difficulty. She listened to Kerana's input, and thought about it. She had a good point; while it was easy to move water around a vessel, making it actually rise up and act like no water should was the hard part. "How am I supposed to do that?" She asked, half to Kerana, half to herself. Almost as soon as the words left her mouth, she had an idea.

With determination set in her eyes again, she got back into her stance. She focused intently on the water, again feeling it's weight against her hands. Slowly she started to move the water, not towards Kerana, but to the sides, as though she were trying to part it. Waves started to form behind Kerana, moving away from each other, then flowing back. Each time the waves met, the water was forced up a little more. Finally Deora decided to try to actually make the water rise, and sent the waves crashing together again. As they met, she raised her hands, managing to make a wavering column of water rise up, almost as tall as the fox girl. It only lasted a few seconds, though, before crashing back into the pool. Deora sighed again, dropping her hands to her sides. "This is a lot harder than I thought it would be."

Trinity was about to go by the training facility, she wondered how the training was going with Deora and Kerana. She went in and asked Richard about Deora and Kerana. He brought up a screen of Deora and Kerana rubbing their heads. "Looks like they could use some help. I'll see if I can give a few tips.". Richard lead the way then, Trinity then entered, "Looks like you could use some help. What are you having trouble with?"

Hours later, just as dawn is creeping over the horizon, Shane and his precious cargo have made numerous vehicle swaps to shake off any tail they might have and are on their way to Berchant's parent's home. Shane had made sure to steal a car that had a detachable GPS. This way they could find the house without being tracked for stealing the car.

Gidget is asleep in the back, her eyes dancing with dreams Shane can only speculate on.

He looks over at Annie in the passenger seat and asks, "Where are you going to go after we're done here?"

Deora turned her head as she heard the door open, expecting to see another water-meta stroll through the door. For some reason she was expecting them to be wearing blue. Her expectant smile faded a bit when she saw that she was wrong, but at least it was Trinity. "Everything." She said in answer to Trinity's question. "I can move the water, but I'm having issues actually doing anything useful. I can't even get it to move up and over at the same time."

Annie laughed the faintest bit and replied, "I never thought it would be. However, the point is non-negotiable for me. I am not losing you again. And Christian in my hands no matter what I chose to do is bound to be a better life for him than in Berchant's or Daedalus's hands."

She shrugged glancing out the window before glancing back at him, "Didn't I say I was going to be your conscience? Your conscience doesn't just abandon you, right?"

Trinity has seen this before among new metas. There's usually some pieces of advice she'd give them that tend to help. The rest is up to them, or if she happened to know that one of her soldiers had a similar power she'd tell them to take the new meta. In this case she new a couple on the top of her head.

Trinity had started the Meta Mentor Program mainly because she remembered all the trouble she went through to find a mentor. The program provided an incentive of a little extra pay then a bonus when the new meta can pass a test that. At first the test was based on what the mentor recomended. Then over time there were several generic tests and the Mentor would choose three excercises.

"Deora, close your eyes.". when the girl's eyes were closed she then said,
"Can you feel your element? The more aware you are of of that element the more you'll know how it works. The better you know how it works the more you can do with it. Don't just focus on the liquid in the pool behind Kerana, there's flowing liquid in the pipes. Get a sense of what it's doing then apply that to the pool behind Kerana. Clear your mind, and focus it will take some time."

Shane pulls into the driveway of the rather sizable property. Definitely a family that has profited well from Daedalus funding. He puts the car into park and kills the engine.

After a short pause the door was opened by a grim looking Berchant, "So you survived..." He glanced past her to see Shane and then the sleeping Gidget in the back seat. "Should I congratulate the two of you?"

"Where is my son?" Annie demanded.

"Christian is upstairs with my mother. His grandparents are getting quite attached to him," He said smirking. "Are you sure you want him back. Wouldn't having a son damper your plans? It isn't it like you want the kid."

Annie narrowed her eyes at Berchant and said coldly, "Bring my son to me or do you want me to fetch him myself."

Berchant opened the door widely and stood aside, "Come in, Annabella. Hell, even Shane can come in. I have no reason to fear you. After all you've already used to much of your ability recently haven't you?"

Shane can feel the need for violence bubbling up inside of him. He hisses, "She may have, but I haven't. Daedalus' private army, and the research staff in charge of my sister, has given me quite the store of bio-organic material to use. So unless you have found a way to remove my biomass from your body, or think you can handle every pain receptor in your body being fired at once, then I suggest you stop playing these games and co-operate."

Shane's eyes are dark, poisonous, and sincere. His gaze shows that he will deliver on his threat, and maybe more.

It has been a while since Theonis went to bed but he had only been able to sleep for a short amount of time. Although he wondered, deep down he already knew. Ever since he seriously started to use his power it began to develop more and more. Since that time he had gained a few traits that he did not have before. He no longer needed as much food as he normally did and he had gained the ability to absorb information at an astonishing rate. Perhaps this was also a trait that he had gained. He wasn't sure if it was a good thing. Still he was glad he could still sleep despite the short length of it. Or it could be that he rapidly recovered from fatigue. He just didn't know.

With a sigh he got out of bed, put on his clothes and left his room. Perhaps he needed to exhaust his body before he could sleep like a normal person. With that thought in mind he went towards the training facility. While underway he grabbed his cellphone and texted Trinity.

"Seems like my body is getting more and more different as I develop my power. Not nearly as tired as I was when you left. Guess I'll head over to the training facility and see what happens when I am physically exhausted instead of mentally. Maybe I can sleep then."

It didn't take him long to reach it. As he entered he greeted Richard.

"Hey, you mind starting up the same program as before? I am sure I can handle a whole lot more now." He said to Richard."Maybe my body will finally get some sleep after that...." The last part he muttered to himself.

As Deora tried with Trinity's advice her smart phone vibrated in she looked at it and responded.

After responding she put the smart phone in her pocket and folded her arms.

Well..since I am kind of going to become a coach maybe I can pitch in with that. Just don't tell Deora it came from me. Kerena should do acrobatics but I don't know what Deora can do.
