Annie raised a brow, "Strange... any liquid I change keeps the chemical formula I changed it to even if I am incapacitated. The same is supposed to be true of Christian's power as well. Regardless it is a relief to know that Berchant's power will no longer be a problem."
Glancing upstairs she glanced back at Shane, "I am ready to head up when you are. Better to face the music sooner than later."

Deora crossed her arms as she thought about the offer. She was inexperienced with fighting anything more than a couple thugs, but Trinity hadn't actually said they'd be fighting. Maybe the situation would be diffused just by them showing up. Either way, did it matter? Deora still wanted to go outside, and since when did a little danger stop her?
"I'll go." She said with a nod.

Trinity nodded confirming the answer, "I was hopping you'd say that. Come with me we'll go over the details in Gidget's lab. Plus another team member to this group." She thought it best not to say it was Theonis at first, yet introduce the notion while they are still here so that Deora could back out if she needed to.
She pulls all three, Kerana, Deora and herself down into the shadows and emerged from a dark corner of Gidget's lab. She saw Theonis just entering and grinned at the sight of him.

As he made his way towards the lab, his mind was doing what it does best, thinking of new ways to use his power. His pressure sphere can deflect bullets due to it's rotation and dense pressure. But in close combat it wouldn't be very helpful. Sure he could use it to keep distance from the enemy but he wouldn't be able to hit him. Again he could use his powers for that but he felt that it shouldn't always come down to that. Perhaps he could greatly decrease the size of the sphere. Or even completely discard it for close combat. Instead he could create a high density pressure field on his body like a second skin to absorb punches. It could work but he needed to fully understand how he can do that first.
Lost in thought he entered the lab. From the shadows she appeared. The woman who he can barely take his mind off. It distracted him enough to 'overlook' Gidget, He still did not know what it was about her that drove him mad at times. The piercing eyes, the purple hair or perhaps the elven ears. Either way he did not complain about those traits. He met her grin with one of his own. That changed to a puzzled frown when he saw the other girls. Deora and Kerena. Both did not like him. Theonis realized that this would not be about his father.
"Ladies" He said to all as a greeting with a polite nod.
"What's this about Trin?"

Trinity nodded, "This is why I've gathered you here..." she hooked in her smart phone and brought up the article with the head line that read Daedalous Project Masacre. "Looks like Shane and Annie got what they were after but at quite the price... We need to track them down, before another massive killings occur."

Rikki Tikki Travi "Well if the compound is already changed that makes sense. But I digress, I think it would be best if you led the way in on this one. He trusts you."
"I suppose that would make sense," Annie replied. "I usually avoid contemplating my powers." Sighing she glanced down at Berchant's dissolving body. Stepping over the mess she headed upstairs, opening the door to the bedroom where Berchant's mother and Christian were. Annie looked tired and Berchant's mother looked suspicious. Christian was flipping through a book, not even concentrating on the pictures."Where is my son?" The woman asked. "Downstairs," Annie answered, she sounded exhausted. She didn't have the energy or desire to deal with this woman."Mommy?" Christian asked looking up at her. Annie crouched down on the floor and said, "Yes, darling?""Daddy... Daddy is dead isn't he?" Christian asked, walking over to Annie. Annie's brown eyes widened as she wrapped her arms around her son. She glanced briefly at Shane before she returned her attention to her son. "Yes..." she murmured. "I- I..." "He wasn't a very good Daddy, though," Christian said, almost as if this was the first time the thought had ever crossed his mind, which was most likely the case. Annie's brown eyes began to well up with tears as she nodded. Quietly, Christian asked, "Is that why you killed him, Mommy?" Annie opened her mouth but couldn't find the words to say. Christian burying his head into his mother's auburn hair added as his blue eyes found Shane, "I still don't like that scary mister very much." Annie nodded. Meanwhile, Berchant's mother's mind was racing and she finally spoke up, "You killed my son..."
"Yes," Annie sighed, picking up Christian."Is that what you plan to do to me?"
"As long as you serve no threat to my family, no," Annie replied, turning.The woman stood her blue eyes narrowed with hate, "You won't get away with this. Daedalus will find you freaks and put you freaks in your rightful places." "A place where all meta-humans belong," Annie muttered, rolling her eyes, as she walked out of the room past Shane. Ironic that she could hate meta-humans so much considering what her son was, not that she probably knew what he was. Glancing over her shoulder, Annie added quietly, "I wouldn't go downstairs if I were you... and my apologies about your white carpet."

Theonis wasn't as affected by it as he thought he would. Why would he care what happens to Daedelus? With more of them dead less trouble for Valhalla. Still....
"Personally I say good job to them. Anyone who signs up for Daedelus, soldiers or not, know what could happen to them." He said plainly and meant every word of it.
"But" There was a pause in his words." This will feed the people's fear for Meta's and will result in a more aggressive approach to the Meta-problem by the government. So we do need to stop them" He stopped and looked at the women. "God it's not like me to analyse like this...well..that's not entirely true." He muttered that last part to himself.
"Since I am talking like this already might as well continue. First, Annie was after her son and Shane was helping her with that. What if they found him? Will you force them to go back here? Second...."
He looked at Deora and Kerana." If we do go up against the both of them, no offense ladies, they'd be either in the way or useless! Unless they got some kind of awesome power I am not aware of. I apologize if I sound like a d**k but it's the cold hard truth. I managed to hold my ground against Shane but I am not sure if we can do that with you two around. Again sorry for sounding like a d**k." He finished. He knew those two already hated his gut but he was in fact trying to protect them. In his own way.

Trinity had similar thoughts pressing the back of her head but she still she felt confident in her decision. "I see your point Theonis but here's their part of the plan at hand. I can track them to where helicopter landed and with the amount of time that has passed tracking them will prove harder for me. This is where Kerana can come in and use her heightened senses to get on their trail faster. Deora is with us right now as the only liquid manipulator avaiable right now. The others are on missions. Deora can keep Annie occupied while we focus on Shane.
Ofcourse if things get to be too much for them I'll send them back home safe and sound. Any other questions?
About Annie... I'll grant her an offer to come with her son peacefully. If she does seem to want to continue killing with little regard for life, she'll have to be taken down."

"Even if I could feel some pity for the Daedalus troops, I probably wouldn't. They knew full well what they were getting themselves into."
"As for finding where they went, we need to find this guy." The monitors display various angles and shots with Dr. Berchant in them. Several of them holding Annie's son and escaping with him. "This is Doctor Berchant. All information regarding him is extreme black ops stuff. Even my programs can't hack into his personal data file beyond his name. But if he has Annie's son, that's where they will go."

As Gidget brought up Dr. Berchant, "Are you able to scan for family that may be near by? Are they as locked down as he is?". There may be a chance that Kerana could head home sooner than expected.

Deora's palms hurt as her nails dug into them. She was doing her best to channel her anger into making a fist, instead of swinging one at Theonis. He could apologize for it all he wanted, but that didn't change the fact that he was acting like a jerk. It might even be worse that he apologized; that means he knew how he was acting, but didn't care to change it. She had to distract herself before she put a boot in his arrogant gut.
She turned to look at the monitors, paying close attention to Annie. "How exactly am I supposed to distract her?" She asked. She was never was one for strategy, and she didn't see how her meager control of water could help.

After Annie starts her descent with Christian down the stairs, Shane turns and glares at the woman. "I was half expecting your son's power to influence to be affecting you as well. I guess your really are just a hateful old woman."

"That's what I would like to know as well. Annie turns liquid into acid. It's still a liquid which in turn Deora 'could' control but I don't think she can. Not yet. In time I am sure she will. But by the time she would have managed to control that Annie would have turned her into a steaming pile of goo! Not to mention what Shane would do. Well....I can keep him away." Theonis replied. He really did not want them to come along.
But then something hit him. An idea. Possible the same one Trinity had in mind.
"Deora how..just how good is your control? Annie can turn into water. If you can somehow control her in that state...that ...that would be quite amazing." He said as if he suddenly saw her in a new light. In a much better one anyway. You could almost hear a bit of a respect in his voice. That is....if she actually could.
