More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"Not quite what I have in mind Theonis. She can do enough to distract her with simply swirling the liquids causing her concentration to be disrupted. If she finds she can't effect her in her acid form then odds are high we'll be somewhere where pipes run through and she can utilize that against Annie."
Hopefully this would quench what Theonis was looking for.

Theonis sighed. He knew he could keep this up all day but it wouldn't be smart. For this mission and relationship. So he decided to hold his tongue.

"Well I still don't think it's a good idea for her to fight Annie but you're in charge. I'll eh...think of something if things go haywire."He said as he ran his hand through his long pitch black hair.

Gidget shakes her head in response to Kerana's question. "I'm sorry Kay, but the only people kept captive at this facility were meta-humans."

"And to answer your question Trinity, as far as Daedalus is concerned this guy is a miracle birth. Nothing on parents, siblings, distant relatives, or even DPS records for this state or anywhere in the country. He's a damn ghost. Which means he is more than likely tied to something they don't want getting out."

"As far as facing Annie or my brother goes...you're all f'ed in the head. Shane consumed just as many people as he right out killed, and is probably stronger than he was when you fought him this morning. You fought him at a point when he had consumed four people. Four! And now you want to send four more living people at him? I know you want to stop him Trinity, but what you're trying to plan is a suicide mission."

Shane doesn't blame Christian for still feeling apprehensive about him. If he were the boy's age, he would be frightened a great deal by what he saw too.

After Annie starts her descent with Christian down the stairs, Shane turns and glares at the woman. "I was half expecting your son's power to influence to be affecting you as well. I guess your really are just a hateful old woman."

"My son's power?" The old woman laughed. "Not only are you a murderer but you're a liar too. My son is-was- not one of you monsters. If he was don't you think that he would have been able to stop that woman from killing him? Anyhow, wasn't that woman able to read auras, she would have mentioned if he was a meta-human. Not that I would listen to her, anyways..."

The woman stopped her blue eyes widening, Annabella's odd departure after she apparently sensed something was off. Annabella didn't strike the woman as the type to care what happened to her son. And it was odd that her grandson had so much power when his mother's was so limited. "Oh..." she said, maybe Shane was telling the truth. "Even if he did have powers he wasn't a monster like you two are. He didn't use his powers like you two did. He wasn't a monster."

The woman's blue eyes were narrowed with hate as she added, "Well shouldn't you go? That woman is waiting for you, no doubt." Her gaze glanced away from Shane before she turned her gaze to glare at him in full force as she added, "I hope you two rot in Hell."

Meanwhile, Annie descended the stairs carrying her son who kept his head buried in her curls. Carefully she stepped over the little that was left of Berchant's body, and she glanced up the stairs waiting for Shane. What was he up to, now?

Gidget's words stung her as she layed down the reality of the situation. She let out a sigh and then looked to Gidget, "Then how do we stop him? Are we going to let them go? With all the attention they've gathered, it's only a matter of time before the cops try to stop them, then an army... We need to end this before it goes further!"

He felt sympathy towards Kerana. Seems her parents were with Daedelus. And from the way she said it...not by their free will.

Theonis agreed with Gidget. It was why he was so against Kerana and Deora to come along. Trinity and himself could fend for themselves. Maybe he was taking the danger too lightly but since he fought Shane and kind of had the upper hand so in his eyes Shane wasn't all that dangerous despite being aware of his powers.

"Taking out a base like that should take a big toll on them. If Annie used her powers as much as Shane did then I think she would be out for the count. Which would leave us with Shane."

He took a deep breath.

" Look, I know he is all that dangerous and all but Trinity's got a point. Humans can't handle him. What if he grows too strong and the government decides to cut their losses and nuke him? I wouldn't be surprised if the would do something like that. He would endlessly consume and grow stronger. We need to take him out before he gets too strong!" He said, using Trinity's argument."Now if we had something that could cancel his powers or just knocks him off balance it would help but I doubt we can be that lucky right now."

Meanwhile, Annie descended the stairs carrying her son who kept his head buried in her curls. Carefully she stepped over the little that was left of Berchant's body, and she glanced up the stairs waiting for Shane. What was he up to, now?

"Oh I am most certainly hell bound. There is no doubt about that. But I can promise you, my work will be finished before that day comes. Be seeing you."

He turns and descends down the steps catching up to Annie. "Sorry about that. Just leaving her with some parting words of my own. Shall we?"

Shane holds the front door open to allow Annie to walk through. He looks over at the car and goes poker faced at what he sees.

She had gotten bored after waking up, but she quickly found a way to keep herself busy in the loud moving thing. She discovered that if she breathed on the glass it would fog up. Then she made shapes in it. It didn't take long before she flat out pressed her face against the glass. She looks up at the good people as they approach her. Still pressing her face against the glass, she giggles and fogs up the window some more.

"You took the words from my mouth Theonis. Tomorrow morning I'm going to meet with your father about just that. He made Shane into what he is, and so he will be the best person to discuss how to stop him. The gas used to contain Shane is too dangerous to use in public. A single spark could ignite a raging inferno. Your father will help me stop Shane, permanently if need be."

"Oh...". Trinity let out wondering if all her efforts to want to track them down immediately due to the news report was all for not if Gidget had already made arrangements to find a way to stop Shane. Still she wondered, "Is there anything we can do in the mean time? Who knows how much ground they covered..."

"My....dad?" It was still a very sensitive subject for him. Up until a few hours ago he didn't even know he was working with Daedelus and responsible for Shane's....creation. "Y-you want to go to someone who absolutely loathes Meta's and only sees them as interesting due to their powers? I...ah...Are you sure? Please just....don't tell him about me."

"And I thought you were the level headed one," muttered Annie. She glanced down at her son who had already closed his eyes and was sleeping. Poor thing must have been exhausted. A crease of worry was in his little forehead between his closed eyes.

She glanced up as Shane held the door for her and then she saw Gidget's face pressed against the glass. Annie's face paled and she was thankful the opinionated Christian had already fallen asleep. No doubt he would have had something to say on the matter.

Sighing, Annie headed to the car and asked quietly, "So when will we be able to take care of our second problem... getting Gidget her body?"

"My....dad?" It was still a very sensitive subject for him. Up until a few hours ago he didn't even know he was working with Daedelus and responsible for Shane's....creation. "Y-you want to go to someone who absolutely loathes Meta's and only sees them as interesting due to their powers? I...ah...Are you sure? Please just....don't tell him about me."

Trinity watched as Theonis replied hesitenty. It was obvious he didn't want to be anywhere near his father and she couldn't blame him for that. Yet, when her folks were alive she did try to visit them as often as work would allow her to without putting them in danger. With Theonis, it seems as though his relationship with his father is not good and him becoming a meta seemed to highly likely to magnify that conflict.

In a sense it would be better if his father didn't know about his son's current condition... heck it would be awkward to introduce her to his father knowing the first thing he'd think about is 'meta'. Not that she mind it but to his father she would be another research project of some sort...eyeing her to want to dissect her, would be discomforting and not to mention creepy. Yet, he can't be al bad can he? Aside from being part of Daedalous and creating Shane, he did try to check on his son earlier...

Gidget raises her hands in a calming manner. "Relax, I wont even start to mention you. I am going there to discuss Shane and how to stop him, that is all. If all goes well we can come up with something then."

She lowers her hands and looks at the others. "For now I'd suggest you guys get some sleep. It is late, and tomorrow is going to be rough. Until I get back with whatever I can manage from Dr. Acula, I'd like you guys to ease the transfer progress for the metas from Matron's safe house that will be coming in tomorrow. They are going to be tired, frightened, and in a strange place. The big guy concerns me especially. I received some information on his earlier, and he's one of the rare cases where meteor radiation has attacked his mind. Despite his size he has the mentality of a young child."
