Courtyard (North)

Eden walked into the courtyard, looking around and not seeing anyone she knew. Shrugging a little, she found an empty bench under a tree and sat down, pulling her knees up to her chest and watching everyone else.

Kana blinked, feeling him set his hand upon her head. He seemed to do that often, but it didn't hurt so she didn't mind. She watched him go and then nodded her head, hurrying after him and catching up. She fell in step slightly behind him, off a bit to his right side, just trailing after him. Her eyes were scanning the area and she had the bag still swinging beside her in broad archs. Her ears kept perking this way and that as her tail flicked rapidly behind her. She hadn't visited the courtyard in a while, and she kind of missed it. After all, she'd spent her first day here.

Koichi started walking again, seeing that Kana had caught up. He was deep in thought, though, trying to figure out a way to complete his mission without more susspicion that already placed on him. He cursed mentally; if Skylar had been the same as before the coma, he wouldn't be doing this right now, and wouldn't really have to be worrying so much. Fact is, though, she snapped at you... even though the two of you were close before the accident, said the voice evily, mocking the boy to try harder. Koichi stopped, though, in front of the fountain as he gazed into the water, the ripples from the pouring water distorting his reflection.

Kana trailed after him still, watching almost thoughtfully. She couldn't help wondering what he was thinking about. It was in her nature to do so. But, she wasn't about to ask. Thoughts were private and she knew this perfectly well. She slowly came up behind him to the fountain's edge, leaning over and looking in, her hands on the edge to hold herself up. She slowly lifted one, and trailed her fingers slowly along the survace, watching the ripples they made. She smiled happily as she did. This water didn't seem deep enough for her to drown in, so it didn't make her nervous.

Koichi blinked a few times, snapping out of his thoughts, as Kana started to make ripples in the water. "OH, I see," he said simply, crossing his arms in mock fassion, "you're afraid of deep water," he said, emphasizing the word. He, once again, hoped it didn't offend her, but halfheartedly knew she'd end of laughing. He hadn't spent that much time with her, but he could tell a lot of things about her now. The only thing that he couldn't tell, though, was why she'd pushed him away; after all the girls he'd done that to, no one had ever pushed him away. It shocked him, really.

[Kana isn't really the type to hurt someone, but she will keep the incident in mind forever. >>]

Kana's ear twitched and she turned to look at him, blinking questioningly until he finished his sentence. Then she laughed softly and shrugged, head tilted to the side. "Well, it's not too bad when it's more shallow!" she nodded. "Because then I know I can stand up if I fall in, so it doesn't seem as scary." She smiled and then glanced back at the water before straightening again, clasping her hands in front of her, both holding onto the bag. She blinked again, not really sure what they were doing. She'd suggested coming here, but didn't really know what they could do. She frowned as she realized this.

"How bout a nice nightime stroll?" Koichi smiled, the sun setting behind the trees, casting husky pinks,yellows and oranges across the sky. "Well, sunset into night time stroll," he corrected himself, laughing. He didn't think Kana would agree to doing such a thing since what happened on the beach, but he wondered if she would; although, it was really the only thing he could think of doing as he realized she didn't quite know herself. Ah yes, the old classic way to get what you want; usually works. We should have done this first, the voice said, chuckling softly.

Kana blinked, glancing around for a moment until her eyes fell upon the setting sun. Then she slowly nodded her head. "Alright," she agreed, somewhat reluctantly. She hadn't forgotten about the beach, but she was sure he wouldn't try again so quickly, right? Right, she assured herself. Her tail flicked behind her as she turned so she was facing him, her smile returning again. "Just... around the courtyard?" she asked curiously, head tilting to the side.

Damn, she's braver than I thought. Koichi nodded his head, before he started at a slow walk- slow enough for her to catch up- his hands stashed in his pockets partly. He wanted nothing more than to, like the voice, get a new victim and start out on the mission; after all, everytime he got bored and did this back then, Sky had surely blown her top and gotten beyond jealous. Those were the days, he thought, smirking to himself. You're telling me, the voice said somewhat evily, she was so cute trying to find out what she'd done sometimes, or trying hard to counter it; although she always failed since we always ended up winning. The voice, apparently, found that each new victim opposed as an enemy to Sky, and that it always started a competition.

Kana practically skipped after him, moving into a normal walk once she caught up. The bag went back to swinging by her side as she glanced around, taking in everything as they passed it, not wanting to miss a thing. Then sunset seemed to cast a strange, but beautiful glow over everything and she loved it. Outside was definitely better than indoors. If she was in a dorm, she might not be able to see this right now! She recalled Koichi saying he'd help her get a room after this, but she hoped that he'd possible forgotten. She pushed these thoughts aside for now and continued moving forward, tail swinging behind her excitedly.

Koichi looked at Kana, feeling her excitment; just be looking at her aura, he could easily tell she was happy, although worried too. He turned his head again, bitting the side of his lip that she couldn't see; he had to hurry up and get her before he couldn't get Sky back from that boy. We"ll get her back, don't worry, the voice said, and when we do, you can expect our fair share of happiness once again... boy, we'll go strolling in the park and we'll throw her into a pool for payback, the voice chuckled; the old Koichi loved pushing people in pools. "So, Kitty, you plan on getting your own room after all? Or," he smirked, "would you rather sleep in the guys' dorms?" He knew she didn't want to, so he gave her the only option of getting her own room.

[That's alright! Because around the time you posted, I lost internet until just a few minutes ago. ><;;]

Kana tilted her head, glancing back at him at the question. Her face flushed slightly red as she saw his smirk, and the second part of the comment, and she quickly shook her head. "M-my own, please," she nodded, somewhat reluctantly. She didn't really want to get one. She felt odd entering a place and just demanding a room. Well, she wasn't really demanding one, but still... The idea of it bothered her. She glanced at Koichi, then towards the sky once more. If those were the only options she was going to be given though, she guessed she'd just have to deal with it. Besides, Shojuto had made a big deal about her sleeping outside, and she didn't want to worry him again.

Koichi chuckled softly. "That's what I though," he said, nodding his head; he really did expect her to go with getting her own dorm. "So, Kitty," he started, still looking ahead and not at her, his hands in his pockets, "I doubt I'm the only one that has pressured you into getting your own room... after all, you said you've been here for at least a day, right? So... where did you sleep all those days you were here if you had no dorm room?" he asked, curious as to the answer. What, you think she slept in a guy's room? the voice laughed, bearly able to get any other words out from lack of air reaching his lungs.

Kana blinked and then turned her head towards the fountain. "There," she said simply. "I slept at the base, in the grass." She turned back at him, head tilted slightly as she wandered if he was going to scold her about it as well. Personally, she didn't know what was so wrong about it? Was it expected of someone to get a dorm room as soon as they arrived? It didn't really matter to her. Outside was just as good as inside, and no one had bothered her while she slept either, so she really couldn't see what was wrong with it. But, it wasn't big enough a deal for her to refuse to get one, so she wasn't willing to argue about it.

Koichi shook his head. "Kitty, you shouldn't be sleeping outside while you could have a safe dorm room..." he said softly, stopping his progression through the courtyard to turn and look at her. "I mean, some people here aren't all that nice and they'll hurt you if you give them a chance... and just sleeping out here leaves you vaulnerable to attack," he continued, walking over to her to drop his hand on her head, but not that hard. "I'm not saying you don't have a choice of sleeping out here, too, but it'd be safer inside."
