Courtyard (North)

Kana bowed her head slightly, watching the ground now. Yes, it seemed he was against it as well. "Um, I'm sorry..." she said softly. "I guess I'll go get a dorm room later then..." She still didn't really want to, but he was right. Just because she hadn't met anyone yet who intended to hurt her, didn't mean they weren't here. This was a place where people came to work on their abilities after all, right? Thinking about this was beginning to make her feel nervous. Maybe she should begin trying to control her own power? But no, she couldn't do that... Kana let a soft smile return to her face as she looked back up at him. "I will later," she repeated.

Elmay sat on a bench as she pressed her back against the wall. She sighed looking up at the sky as she held her hand in front of her face sheilding the sun. "I'm so bored.." she mumbled flicking her green scaly dragon tail. She watched as students walked by in pairs talking happily to eachother. "I need to find something to do or else I might die." she thought standing up flinging her bag over her sholder. Elmay wasn't in a drawing mood and her next class didn't start for another hour. She glanced around the tremendous size of the court yard.It was scattered with copper colored benches and some casual tables in different locations. Yawning she strached out her arms and wings.

Koichi smiled at her. "Okay.. but you know, you can still sleep out here when you want to... just make sure you're at least hidden," he laughed softly, removing his hand before starting off once again; he thought that the stroll was a nice idea... maybe he could get to know the grounds a little more. Or maybe you can just accomplish the mission, the voice argued, an imaginary vein pulsing on his imaginary head. You take so long; can't you hurry your a** up already?! I want a new victim so bad!

Issac quickly walks up to a tree and jumps into it. He takes his bow and quiver off his back and lays against the tree trunk. He watches the other students for a while then stares up at the sky, watching the clouds.

Kana smiled back, nodding her head. "Ok!" she said, a bit brightened by the thought. Though, if she was going to take up a room, she'd rather stay in it than have it just sit there empty. What if someone else needed a room and she was needlessly taking it up? She bit her lip for a moment before starting to trail after him again, still a bit off to the side. Already cheering up again, she swung the bag happily at her side, tail swinging enthusiastically behind her. Her ears perked and tilted towards the others appearing in the courtyard, though she didn't look at them. She kept her eyes busy darting around at random objects, and occassionally the sky.

Koichi looked over his shoulder at Kana and chuckled lightly. "You like that bag, don't you?" he asked, not even waiting for an answer, really. "Why don't you keep it, then?" he suggested, knowing he didn't need a bag like that anyway; the truth was, the back was rather slightly girly. He had, after all, gotten it in Japan before he came back since he wanted to buy something for Sky; fact was, that was the bag it came in. "I mean, it's perfect for carrying things, and I don't think I'll be needing a bag like that," he laughed, turning around so he was walking backwards but facing her.

Umi.tsuki came strolling into the courtyard, her smile gone for the time being. Why did it feel like someone was looking for her... someone fermiliar in a way she couldn't name. She bit her lip, walking over to a fountain in the middle of the courtyard, sitting down on the ledge. She was terrified of water, since she knew it could kill her, but this little water was really nothing; after all, it was like taking a shower. Too much of the water, though, would be deadly. She poked the surface gently with her finger, watching as the ripples extended to the sides, sinking under to the bottom at the ledge.

[Haha, that's fine. I haven't had dinner yet today. xP And yeah, it made sense. ^^]

Kana blinked, eyes darting towards him and settling there as he spoke. Her head tilted as she glanced between him and the bag a couple times, and then slowly nodded. "Thank you very much!" she said, bowing her head thankfully. She knew it wasn't much, but no one had given her anything in such a long time, she couldn't help smiling happily. Her tail seemed to pick up its already over enthusiastic pace behind her as she watched. She continued grinning as she saw him walking backwards. "Don't trip, ok?" she nodded.

Koichi grinned. "Don't jinx me now," he said, looking behind him to make sure of no uprooted things. He turned his head back again, still grinning. "Well, then, when's Kitty's birthday?" he asked simply, planning on throwing her a party; she didn't seem to have to much in life to look foward to, or so it seemed, so he planned on one day of fun for her. Or is that just another plan to get her? asked the voice, a little caught in the fact of a party- which ment cake.

Issac puts the bow and quiver back on his back. He jumps out if the tree and walks around very bored. He sees a playground and decides to go there.

[Sure! I don't mind. ^^ What exactly is dark fiction though? xD;; Just darker kinds of storylines and things?]

Kana blinked, looking back at him at the sudden question, ears perked towards him. "Um... It's July tenth," she nodded, head tilting. "Why?" She actually looked puzzled as she watched him, her tail slowing again to a normal pace behind her. The thought of a party didn't really occur to her, since she'd always just had them with her mother, and that was no longer possible. She held the bag at her side like normal now, her right hand moving to grasp the locket which hung around her neck. The question had suddenly reminded her that this would be her first birthday without her mother.

[[yup, i think so; it makes you like, think and gives you the types of chills... i can also send you the thing that has the competiton, if you wanna enter to; deadline is tomorrow o.O ]]

Koichi smiled. "Oh, you'll find out soon, then, seeing as your birthday is just... at least a week away," he smirked, already planning to have it within the next few days [which means kai and everyone needa come back xD]. "And... what's your ideal cake?" he pressed on, not wanting to screw anything up by getting her the wrong cake. Oh, you're just fishing now, I hope you know that! the voice yelled at him, scolding him in a way that was quite funny; truth was, he wanted cake even though he couldn't have any.

Umi sighed as she slid off the ledge and onto the ground, letting the grace blades lick her legs and hands. She store at a blade in particular, which had a small moth on it; it seemed lonely, or at least unable to fly. She puffed out her cheeks in boredom, trying to figure out what that feeling was that caused her confusion.

Kana blinked again, realizing suddenly that since he was asking about a cake flavor, there was definitely an idea of a party forming in his head. Her eyes widened slightly and she shook her head quickly. "No, it's fine!" she cried, waving her arms in front of her face as well. "You really don't have to!" She hadn't planned what she was doing for her birthday yet, but it didn't include others troubling themselves with throwing a party. Besides, she didn't feel she knew that many people well enough to invite them. She could think of about four, not including Koichi. But then she paused, realizing she was more than likely overreacting again. "Um, I mean..." she began softly, face turning red. "V-vanilla or chocolate... I guess..."

[[come now, are you telling me you're a bad writer? xD Oh, and Pheonix, no one is going against my other charie either; you just have to find something random to talk about and it'll lengthen it. ]]

Koichi smiled, finding it funny of her reaction. "Calm down, Kitty, there's nothing to get so worked up about," he laughed softly. "And thank you for telling me what flavor you like," he smiled; now he just had to find her other friends, find his friends that he knew would love Kana- which included Sky- and try to think of a plan to get the mission completed by that time. So close, so close i could taste it, the voice drooled, talking about both the cake and his new victim.

Kana bowed her head. "Y-yes..." she breathed, mentally scolding herself for getting so worked up. She seemed to do that fairly often, but she just couldn't seem to help it. She glanced around again and then back up at him once more, wondering if he had any more questions to ask. She was also curious about if he really was planning on throwing a party, though it seemed like he was. She bit her lip, feeling guilty that someone she hardly knew was intending to go through the trouble. What was involved in a party, anyway? She rather hoped he'd forget about the presents part. Just having people around would be more than enough.
