"Ahhh~ it's a crime to be this cute" She said with a sigh as she began to see if Kerana was ticklish like a cat behind her ears

Gidget gave Deora a small smile. "I know you will."

Gidget looked over Deora's shoulder. She had just noticed that Kerana had left. Figuring that she wouldn't have gone far without her new friend, Gidget turned to one of the monitors and had it display the hallway outside of her lab. She nearly clenched a fist at what she saw, but quickly calmed down once she saw that Kerana was in no immediate danger. This presented Gidget with an idea.

She turned to Deora and asked, "Deora, can I ask you for one more favor before you go?"

Deora had noticed Kerana had left, but though nothing of it. She looked to try and figure out what Gidget saw on the monitor, but couldn't make anything out from where she was standing. When she turned and asked Deora for a favor, it only confused the girl a little more. "Um, sure. What is it?"

Gidget motioned to the monitor as she spoke.

"There is a woman outside with Kerana at this moment. I suspect she may be a Daedalus spy, but I cannot confirm this without dedicating all my time to surveillance. I may just be over reacting, but I feel it is better to be safe than sorry. I don't want you to shadow her, but if you see her doing anything out of the ordinary please let me know."

Deora's confused expression faded as she took a closer look at the monitor to see the woman. A sort of determined expression replaced it, now that she had some semblance of a mission, something real to do, even if it wasn't full-time. She was also glad Gidget wasn't asking her to stalk the woman. She could be sneaky, but nowhere near ninja-like. She nodded her understanding, giving Gidget a confident smile. "So, no spying, just keep an eye on her? I think I can do that. Should I tell Kerana, too?"

Gidget returned Christian's smile with aa exuberant smile and laugh. She reached out to him with him with her right index finger and touched the tip of his nose gently with a, "Uwaah."

Shane couldn''t help but chuckle a bit at Christian's reaction to his sister. Yes, he thought, she is simple...but that will be fixed soon.

He considered Christian for a moment, glancing down at him occasionally. He said, "You are a very well spoken and intelligent two year old boy. And it appears as though my sister likes you too."

Christian shrugged, "I'm three. I turned three while Mommy was gone."

Annie raised a brow and then winced, she hadn't been keeping track of the time. She supposed it had taken a month to hitch hike accross several states.

"Still, I suppose I am smarter than most. Not hard to be when both of your parents have genius IQs," He said smiling.

Annie glanced at Shane and added with a smirk, "I bet you didn't know that about me." She shrugged casually, blushing slightly. It wasn't something she had thought that much about. She had been lazy in her school work according to most of her teachers, and even some professors when it came to subjects that didn't interest her- which was most hard science and math, but all her subjects had come easy to her especially if she put a little effort in it. Being tested in elementary had been more trouble than it was worth because it put labels on her throughout school and everyone tried to force their expectations on her. When she had decided to major in art, most of her high school's administration, even her father, had a minor fit to say the least. Something about wasting her potential...

Liv happily continued to scratch behind Kerana's ears. Seemed like she was really enjoying it. Both of them were. Kerana got a good scratch and Liv got to keep up hugging/scratching her. Seeing those ears and tail made her kind of envious. So by using her power to control and manipulate light she made the illusion of having them. Blond fox ears now stuck out of her head. She also imitated the tail which she began to wave around. Sure it would pass right through an solid object but it still looked nice.

Deora couldn't help but smile at Gidget's opinion of Kerana. She was right, though, as bubbly as the girl was, Deora doubted she could be useful in this situation. The smile faded somewhat, however, when Gidget called her a thief. I t was true, she knew, it was how they met. The monicker still dug at her though. It implied someone who stole because they could, as a profession. She did it out of necessity. Nevertheless, she was right. Her practice had given her the skills she would need to keep an eye on this woman.

She nodded as Gidget told her to go. "I'll be sure to let you know as soon as I see anything weird." She said as she went to the door.

She stepped into the hallway and caught quite a strange sight. The woman she'd seen on the monitor was still petting Kerana, but she'd now gained ears and a tail. The sight stunned her to silence, unable to do much but stand there. She realized know that she had forgotten to ask Gidget about the woman's powers. What would she be up against if she was caught, or otherwise had to fight the woman?

Smiling, Annie added, "I'm surprised you didn't investigate me more throughly. Of course by the time I got to college I was able to keep that information fairly well under wraps. One test shouldn't mark your records for life like it does, anyways. I still haven't forgiven my elementary school guidence counselor for making me take that test. The whole thing was more trouble than it was worth..."

Shane saw a few gas stations on the corner that they were approaching. Each of them had a sign for an ATM. He looked over at Annie and asked, "Looks like we found our funds. How were you planning on getting into an ATM?"

"Usually I go liquid take out the cameras watching the ATM, melt a hole in the ATM and then empty out the cash reserve and walk away solid. But I thought you said it was best if you robbed the ATMs. After all you can change your appearance. I don't have that luxury."

Glancing out the window at the gas station she added, "I was lucky. I only had to rob one ATM to get my cash supply to get me to Valhalla in the first place. But I did a lot of hitching rides, too. That saves on gas considerablly. Anyhow, by no means am I an expert on robbing ATMs."

Shane shook his head in response to Annie's statement. "I didn't think you were, and I still intend to be the one to do this. It's just that I've never broken into one before, and I don't have anyone in my collective unconscious that has. What part of the machine actually houses the money?"
