Courtyard (South)

"I thank you for having so much trust in me Serika. I know it is hard coming here and no one wanting to talk to you." Taqune smiled and put a hand to her face. "I guess you could say I'll be with you for as long as I can I have no where to go and nothing to do so, you can count on me to be at your side." Taqune was shocked somewhat at his words, Gaela had promised that she would return but he hadn't heard a word from here in anyway. He didn't give up but it was time for him to move on and Serika was in need much more than Gaela, he had helped her and now it was time to let Serika be helped.

Kat walked into the courtyard alone. She didn't know anybody here. Kat wandered around a bit until she found a spot to sit. She wanted someone to talk to her, but at the same time she didn't. Kat sat there quietly and waited to see what would happen.

Suka thought about how much had gone on sinc he'd known her...nothing but good things really. He walked with her to the courtyard and then walked slightly behind her after they arrived at the gate, only to let her go through first. The first thing he did hen they were both inside was to sit down in the same spot as he had before. He sat there and pulled out his dagger out of habit. He looked up at her hoping she'd sit too but for the moment he had enough on his mind to keep him occupied if she decided to leave somewhere else and do something without him...for now anyway.

Karin trailed along beside him, smiling faintly to herself as her mind continued to wander. She glanced back as he slipped behind her for a moment but kept moving forward through the gate. As he sat down, she paused and watched him for a moment, returning his stare, before sitting down beside him instead of across from him like usual. Her eyes flicked to the dagger but she didn't say anything and instead just kept smiling. Her hands were still moving in her pocket, playing contentedly with the X inside.

He gave a short lasting smile after she sat down and hesitantly for some reaon spun the agger a couple times and then began to make it spin in his hand again as he had done before. (`-.|/--`-.|/--`-.|/ etc.looking at it from tip it spins like that.) He had forgotten about how she had stopped him before but he was not harming himsef at all now and that was what bothered her was it not He continued to do it without much effort and thought about what could come of a Wolf/cat relationship. IF he had not followed her in the first place none of this would have happened and if he had not come here at all then he wouldn ot have followed her. If anything bad came of it there was always blaming Yuri for coming here and tempting him to follow...but it was better to hope that nothing bad did come of it. Hope never really helped much, it only set what would be most aceptable to a person and what would be least acceptable to a erson....if fate really existed it wouldn't matter either way.

Karin watched him spinning the dagger around, but the scent of blood never reached her so she felt no need to scold him or make him stop. Instead she just sat watching, almost transfixed as the dagger spun continuously around his hand. Her tail was flicking absently behind her, hands still playing with the X. She actually pulled it out of her pocket now and held it in her lap, turning it over and over but still watching the dagger spinning. Her eyes were very slightly narrowed as she focused upon it's movement. She wasn't really thinking of anything else right now.

Suka continued spinning it and then looked over at her. "Karin..." he paused trying to find the right way to word it for a good answer. "...when...um...how did you learn to control water?" he asked this and looked at her the dager continuing to spin in his hand. He noticed that the X was in her lap now and that she was fumbling with it. He wondered if the X was really anything more then a coincidence. Soon he would have to leave to make sure what he did at the church had been a success...he would probably not tell Karin whether or not it worked...but he thought that if the topic ever came around again that he might show her to the Nightmare realm...he felt he could trust her with seeing it...

Karin blinked several times, as if breaking from a trance. She looked up at him, head tilted to the right as she considered a proper response. "Um... I don't really know," she began slowly. "I guess the first time I used them was during a fight. My friend was thrown into the water and I couldn't get to her, and then the water just lifted up and carried her out. I realized later that that I had done it." She nodded as if to confirm her words and glanced back at him. Her hands still fumbled with the X, though she wasn't really paying attention to it. "And then I just kind of began practicing until I could control it more easily and actually summon some from the air if there wasn't any around." She smiled rather proudly as she finished.

Rain looked up. "Me... I come from a small village to the north of here. It was quite a trip up here if I do say so myself. I had to have going for about a week to get to this place." He smiled. "But it was what my grandfather would have wanted." He said as he looked towards the ground then back up to her. "So are you hungry?" He questioned as he looked at her, without remembering she could read minds to; 'Wow she is really pretty...' He thought to himself.

"So it was an accident when you first used them?..." he said not really asking her but assuming it was tre instead. "I'm sure now that you're pretty good with water aren't you?" he asked stopping the dagger mid-turn and balancing it on his finger so that it became erfectly horizontal before he began making it flip around his finger over and over again at an ever increasing speed. He did not bother to look at it though for this was easier to do then the other one had been. Having the dagger out now tempted him to try and do what he'd ended upcutting himself by trying last time bt he'd rspect her wishes for now and try not to.

Karin nodded her head. "Right. That's how Kana discovered her power too, though she doesn't let herself use it because she thinks it'll get her into trouble. I told her that was only true because she doesn't know how to control it, but she won't listen." She sighed and returned to watching Suka twirl the dagger around his fingers. Then she recalled his other question and slowly replied. "I guess I'm alright..." she murmured. "I've never had anyone to compare myself to though, so I could be horrible and just not know it. Actually, I probably am," she added with a small laugh.

"I've never trusted anyone so much...so don't screw it up." She said with a smile and a slight laugh. "But yes, it really is hard. Some don't understand that, and I think that's why I'm not good with others. They don't understand me, and don't want a chance to." She blushed when he touched her face, in such a gentle manner. The only other time when someone had touched her face, was when Lydia, her foster 'mother' had slapped her. "Thank you for your kind words Taqune. Would you mind if I asked you a rather personal question?" She asked quietly. She didn't want to seem overly eager to pry, but she was curious about something.

"I've seen my share of water manipulators...I culd help you decide where you'd stand in comparison to other water manipulators." he said this matter of factly and by that suggested tat he might be able to see what she could do right her right now. Before she'd answered that question though another one came out first. "Kana...what does she do? What are her powers?" he siad this and then stoped the blade again by discontinuing his spinning and having it land blade first between his middle finger and his ring finger.

Karin stared at him a moment, then looked at her hands before looking around. The only water she saw in sight was that in the fountain, but she didn't feel she should disturb it. So she decided she'd have to pull some from the air instead, or see if she could manage to have some appear from nowhere. She'd managed to do that a couple times as well. However, before she could start anything, Suka asked another question. She glanced at him, just now realizing she'd spoken about it but never said what Kana's power was exactly. "Um, she manipulates the wind," Karin nodded. "But she would often do it without meaning to and end up breaking something or hurting someone, so she's unwilling to learn to control it now."

"That's why you learn to manipulate people...when someone gives up on something, that's when you trick them into doing that very something..." he siad this mostly absent-mindedly and now he sat in anticipation with his dagger to his side and all of his attention on her. He wanted to see what she could do before he lost interest in the subject...because right now there was so much on his mind that he could not hold interest on one certain thing any longer then a few minutes.
