More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Shane could sense Annie's displeasure with his plan. This vexed him for a reason he was unsure of. "Look Annie, I don't like it either. But we don't have a whole lot to work with here. It would be easier for me to disable the cameras and slaughter everyone inside to deal with witnesses, but you don't want me to do that. So the only other alternative that I can see will be to utilize what we have available to us. In this case it is her ability to control electronics."

"No, that wouldn't be easier at all," Annie snapped. "The more people either of us kill means the better trail we leave for people to find us. However, the mother hen in me thinks it is wrong to take advantage of someone's powers when they don't have enough capabilities to understand what they are doing at the moment. But, like I said it is a smart plan. Let's just do it and get it over with."

She waved a hand, "Ignore me, I'm hungry and in a bad mood. I am sure I am just taking it out on you. It's my own fault, I know better than to use so much power without eating."

This time around he was glad his heightened reflexes kicked in. But for Trinity to do this without them....Needless to say he was impressed. Rotating again to avoid the kick he grabbed hold of her foot using the rotation to gain force he threw her. He cheated a bit by using his powers to throw her farther away Initially he wanted to slam her to the ground but he just couldn't.

He was really getting into it. Quickly he reached out for his phone and put in his earplugs. Time for some music to go along with it. Pendulum always has good beats. As he focused memories flooding into his mind. All those hours of watching Human Weapon seemed to have payed off with his new mind. Stances, Grapples, throws, kicks popped into his mind randomly

Raising his left leg to see how high he could kick surprised even him. He wasn't able to do this before. But he was thankful he could. He motioned Trinity to charge in.

As her foot was caught she was ready to sing her other foot over toward his head but didn't get the chance to as she was thrown in the air and she loved every moment of air time. Ever since sky diving Freya she not only over come her fear of heights, she truly embraced it and it didn't matter how high up she was the fall stopped bothering her especially since she knew if worst comes to worst she could use her power like a reflex to soften her fall if she had to. As she remembered that time with Freya, she thought Freya... you've taught me so much...I just hope I can free her from Daedalus control...

She let her arms out to the side and flipping her body over to face him eyes were on Theonis. When she was close enough she lifted her arms up and landed hard and fast. Her eyes never moved from Theonis her left knee was fully bent to the side the other leg was fully extended, her right arm was touching the floor in front of her while her left arm was in the air. It was a landing with flare and preparedness. She watched him as he saw how far up he could kick and beckoned her. Normally at this point she would drop in her shadow and attack. However this time she wasn't using her power.

She was still ready to go, she lounged forward at full speed and when she was close enough she launched a spiral kick aiming for his chin as she landed on her feet she then did a right hook to his chest followed by another low roundhouse kick toward his ankle.

He knew it was still unlikely to score a clean hit on her due to her intensive training. But he was adapting nicely to it. He had noticed that she usually used low to middle height kicks. This one was an exception. She barely aimed for his chest. So far she only did that once. That did not mean that she won't try again. He figure the only way to actually hit her was to prevent her from escaping or stopping her movements.

When she kicked he saw an opening. Multiple in fact. He caught her by the ankle and struck her in the calf of her leg. The grip on her ankle remained firm. After that he pulled her leg hard. Since she remained on one leg it would most definitely break her balance no matter how good she is. As he pulled he preformed his own round house kick. In this position all she would be able to do was block according to Theonis.

The trip towards the facility was short and silent.It was clear that these men were trained for combat not for small talk. They were heading towards an old and abandoned warehouse. When they arrived, all of the men got out of the car to guide their target towards her destination. As they entered the warehouse, the light from a dusty old lamp revealed an even older looking elevator elevator. But all of that was just exterior. When the elevator arrived the men told her to enter it. When Gidget entered she would notice that there were no buttons what so ever.

The door closed and the elevator made a surprisingly long way down. When the doors finally opened Leonard was waiting for her.

Trinity lost her balance as she did she was ready for his next move. His kick arrived and all l she could do was block catching his leg with both hands causing him too to stumble to her level. It was obvious to her that Theonis' learning curve ability was coming in handy for him, and he's quickly becoming more of a challenge. "Good." she said with a smile as they were both locked in each other's grasps.

She unlocked her ankle from his grip by moving it to get out of the where the index finger and place that footing down brought up her other foot causing her to horizontally spin up letting go of his leg in the process. The back of her ankle came toward his face.

Barely able to duck Theonis avoided the kick. But as he did lowered himself he did so with a twist sweeping his leg over the floor at her her foot followed with a right cross as he rose.

This whole fight down low would have been a heck of a lot easier is she was using her shadow manipulation abilities. Yet that was not the terms of the fight and she would only use it if she were in real danger. She couldn't believe she missed with the back of her foot. The momentum of him ducking caused her to be landing toward his right side toward his right cross which she could barely block and used it to do a hand stand then swing forward for a kick at his stomach.

It was really frustrating to him to not being able to use his power. Sure he could fight a lot better than he had used to but he wouldn't need that if he could just use his power. Close combat without his powers just wasn't his thing.

Preforming a half-step, he managed to turn his upper body enough to avoid most of it but it still managed to graze his stomach. He jumped back and quickly pressed pause on his cellphone and took out his earpieces. Theonis dropped his stance.

"How am I doing so far Trin?" He asked and realized he was panting slightly."Because doing this without powers is so much harder...."

So close... She thought as she managed to graze his stomach with her foot then landed at a small distance from him since jumped back. She rose as he asked the question, her skin shined with a little sweat on her brow from all the things she had to do to keep up in the spar.
"Yeah, it tends to be like that for me too.
I must say, I can see the difference from the beginning to now. You really got into the strategy of it all, that learning curve of yours is amazing. Also your enhanced reflexes, definitely kept me on my toes. You want to break for breakfast?"

While looking at her, he changed his body and clothes to that of one of the scientists he consumed the night before. He made sure to change his face last so that Gidget may have a chance of understanding what is happening.

She didn't, but found it incredibly amusing non the less. She clapped her hands and giggled like she had just seen a well performed magic trick.

Shane chuckled and looked over at Annie again. "Should something go wrong, I will do my best to make sure no one dies."

"Thanks and okay. I thought I could at least get one clean hit in. Next with powers? I'll wipe the floor with you then! Just you wait." He replied challenging her.

He extended his hand towards her."Shall we?"

Gidget had her game face on. Here was the man responsible for making her brother into a monster, and she was about to work with him on a way to possibly kill Shane.

"Nice place. Not all that different from many of the safe houses so many people are forced to hide in. Where can we talk?"

Shane's lips tightened at what she said. He figured she assumed there would be anything left to use as evidence to track them.

He sighed in order to calm himself. He looked back around to Gidget and mussed with her hair. She swatted at him, and gave him an overly pouty look. He smiled warmly at her, pleased that at least that trait of her has remained.

While looking at her, he changed his body and clothes to that of one of the scientists he consumed the night before. He made sure to change his face last so that Gidget may have a chance of understanding what is happening.

Annie made a sound of dark amusement and said, "Quite frankly, casualties are almost my last concern at the moment, besides the possible trail it will lead to us. Anyhow, if they pose a threat by opening their big mouths to Daedalus or Trinity, by all means don't hold out because of me." Her mood had darkened considerably as she realized how hungry she was and that using any of her power at the moment could easily be the death of her, considering the amount of energy she had expended and the lack of Calories she had consumed in the past twenty-four hours.

Christian narrowed his eyes at Annie briefly and then sighed as he snuggled up to her as he sat in her lap. He didn't like the darkening of his mother's mood, but he accepted it. It had been a long day for everyone.

"Thanks and okay. I thought I could at least get one clean hit in. Next with powers? I'll wipe the floor with you then! Just you wait." He replied challenging her.

He extended his hand towards her."Shall we?"

"Heh, if you can land one on me first" she said with a hand on her hip and a smirk. She nodded as he offered his hand and on the way picked up a couple of towels for the sweat. As they made their way to the exit Trinity took a moment to catch up with her e-mails from last night and this morning. The overall flow summed up to this 'Liz, her Brother and all the Metas at the Safe House are staying in Valhalla starting this morning at around 7am.'

Trinity eyed the time at the top of her smart phone and found that, that time happened to be now. "Looks like we'll be running into some familiar faces this morning. Remember Liz and her brother yesterday? They as well as the other metas staying at the safe house are in the Food Court right now."

As they were about to head out Trinity placed the towel she used in the towel bin by the exit.
