More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

The golden pupil-less eyes of Lieutenant Mitch Davis watched over as the who operation ensued. His blue scaly skin shimmered as he looks for Liz and Larry or Heather, her real name in his eyes. It didn't take long to find them.

He approached the two, "Good Morning Larry, Good Morning Heather" then gave her his most charming smile... which since he became a meta he was a little out of practice in the charm department. Mostly because he thought no girl in the right mind would look at him, but there was something about Heather he liked. Which meant that this project meant a whole lot more to him if he were to impress her. Perhaps it was the fact that she has such a caring heart, to take in all the metas and help them in their dire time of need. It would be too soon to make any move on her, they needed to get to know each other first. "Mind if I join you for breakfast? There are some details I'd like to discuss especially with Matron's sappling."

Larry only glanced at the strange man. He made a bored grunt and went back to eating his mass of food.

Heather looked up from her plate at the man with the blue scales. A piece of lettuce falls from her snout as she gets a good look at him. She is amazed to find someone similar to her. She figured this guy worked with Shane's sister, but she was still very nervous around new people.

"Who are you?" She asked nervously.

Annie made a sound of dark amusement and said, "Quite frankly, casualties are almost my last concern at the moment, besides the possible trail it will lead to us. Anyhow, if they pose a threat by opening their big mouths to Daedalus or Trinity, by all means don't hold out because of me." Her mood had darkened considerably as she realized how hungry she was and that using any of her power at the moment could easily be the death of her, considering the amount of energy she had expended and the lack of Calories she had consumed in the past twenty-four hours.

Christian narrowed his eyes at Annie briefly and then sighed as he snuggled up to her as he sat in her lap. He didn't like the darkening of his mother's mood, but he accepted it. It had been a long day for everyone.

Shane helped Gidget out of the car and into the store. A few minutes passed when suddenly explosions began to rock the store. The outside security cameras hummed and then burst into flames as smoke began to occlude what was happening inside.

Shane leaped through the front window. He had Gidget under his right arm and a large plastic bag full of cash in his left. He quickly opened the back door and slid Gidget inside. He slammed the door behind her and quickly got into the driver seat shortly thereafter.

He threw the car into reverse, nearly hitting a nearby patron who was affixed to the amount of smoke coming out of the store. The car sped off as the patrons from inside were finally making their way out.

Shane puts a good amount of distance between themselves and the store before saying anything. "Well that was completely unexpected."

Deora brought the plates over to the table after Kerana set it. She hadn't planned on the meal being so formal, but she wasn't going to complain. She looked to Kerana and took a seat as she told her school was delayed. "Bueno, I was hoping you'd get to help. I'm not so great at being friendly towards new people," she said.

"Trust me..I will."

Theonis noticed he didn't sweat as much as he thought he would despite his earlier breathing. Another change in his body or just a coincidence? He shrugged it off.

"Ah yes them. The lizard girl and the Hulk." He said that without thinking."A big guy like that must eat a lot."

A question popped into his head he had been meaning to ask earlier.
"Um I wanna ask you something completely different. How are Meta's categorized? Are they in types, ranks or something else?"

If Leonard was somehow affected by her comment he surely did not show it. Not that he was.

"We can talk in my room." Lighting up a cigarette he led the way. His room was on the right side at the end of the lab. It was where he slept. His room was warm and cozy if not a bit messy. Not something you would expect from a man like himself. On his desk were a few portraits of his family. But multiple of his son Theonis. The man simply refused to let go because somewhere in his heart he knew that his son was alive. A frame of his wife showed that he had Theonis had inherited her pitch black hair.

"One of the few places where they actually let a man have privacy." Leonard said with a stoic voice.

"I hope so. I still don't know how you managed to get me to stay here." She joked as she took a bite of her eggs.

Annie raises an eyebrow, apparently unimpressed and rather irritated. "Next McDonalds we stop," She said, not commenting on the explosion in the store. She decided it would be smarter to remain quiet on the matter as she knew she was just going to lose her temper. As they drove she spotted the large M ahead and pointed. "There. We can go through the drive in. Five double cheeseburgers for myself."

Gidget looks around the room taking in everything. The pictures of Theonis intrigue her. "I never expected a dedicated scientist like yourself to place such high value in family. Especially this boy, I'm guessing this is your son?"

Mitch's blue skin pailed at her question, you could almost hear shattered glass at his reaction. What!? She doesn't remember me?! I was the first to speak with her and her brother...*sigh* I thought a blue guy like me would be hard to forget...but... she and her brother had to talk to a lot of people about this whole operation. Even if I attended all those meetings I was mainly there to take notes for the logistics of things and so I co-ordinate with the Welcome Committee. Let it go Mitch, just let it go... heck.. not often one can make a second first impression. He recomposed himself and said, "I'm Lieutenant Mitch Davis. I have been coordinating the logistics of things. How was your ride here today? I hope it was comfortable. Mind if I sit here?" He referred to the empty chair that happened to be across from Heather.

Heather looked him over again, and then sat up straight with a gasp. "Oh my gosh I remember you now! I'm so sorry. I'm just so tired and we've talked to so many people. Yea sure, go ahead and sit."

She adjusts her hair so she can look at Mitch without it occluding her vision. "The ride was...ugh. I wont lie to you, it sucked. I know moving my brother around is hard, but I really wish they had thought of something other than what they use to haul elephants."

((OOC: Gah, serious derp moment. I re-read the matron safe house pages while I was on shift yesterday. Heather is in fact brunette. I wrote her as blonde a few posts ago. sweatdrop ))

He looked over to Christian and asked, "What's your favorite thing here Christian?"

He should have hidden those when he had the chance. An mistake on his part. The correct response would be to dismiss that but he could not when she asked him about his son.

"There are many things you do not know about me but yes. He is." He replied. There was a sense of warmth at the end of that sentence but it faded as quickly as it came when he continued.

"Now back to why you are here. Shane" He took a seat and motioned Gidget to do the same. Meta or not, the very least he could do was show a minor amount hospitality. After all she could just be what he needed.

Gidget took a seat across from Leonard and crossed her legs. She took into consideration the way he regarded his son. Perhaps it was something she could use later.

"I'm sure you've seen the news about what happened yesterday. He's gotten much stronger."

Gidget sat in the back of the car hugging herself and whimpering, the loud explosions having disturbed her a great deal.

Shane pulled into the drive through in the guise of the scientist from earlier. He ordered chicken nuggets for his sister, and Annie's five double cheeseburgers.

He looked over to Christian and asked, "What's your favorite thing here Christian?"

Annie glanced at Shane somewhat unsettled at his question of Christian, but before she could say anything Christian answered, "I... I don't know. I've never been outside of the complex before."

Annie glanced at Shane and said quietly, "Berchant controled his diet. Insisted only on organic and healthy foods before. As far as I know, Christian hasn't even tried icecream before."

Christian thought for a moment, "I want the unhealthiest thing on the menu!"

Annie muttered, "You'll get sick eating this stuff after eating a healthy diet for so long."

Christian glared at his mother briefly and repeated, "The most unhealthy thing on the menu."

Annie glanced at Shane somewhat unsettled at his question of Christian, but before she could say anything Christian answered, "I... I don't know. I've never been outside of the complex before."

Shane chuckled and ordered a Mcnuggets happy meal for Christian. He pulled around the corner, handed the girl a twenty, received his change, then his food, and drove over to a secluded area where they could eat in peace.

Shane turned and offered Gidget her portion of the meal. Whimpering she looked up at him, then smelled the food. She ravenously snatched the box from his hand and began wolfing down the nuggets.

Shane then handed a small red box to Christian, and a bag with five double cheeseburgers to Annie.
