More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"It's the only emotion that is constant in us. You are what is causing it. How can we be free if we cannot escape this....anger. We will kill you...and be free of this. All of this!" Cassandra took a stance and charged in. She knew that he would try to suffocate her or attack in a similar method since it is the only way to kill her.

This intrigued Alexavier. His shields were still in front of him. "A deal? Speak." He demanded. Despite his current cooperation his slaves did not stop trashing about with the powder. But they did not throw everything. The ground was already sufficiently covered. Instead they held on to the items that they had on them. Might never know when Alexavier had to use it.

The guards escorted Gidget back to the park. The door opened as they all remained seated.

"I believe this is your stop." The bald man said. It was apparent that he was eager to get rid of her and this stupid escorting.

Shane's eyes narrowed. The girl was emotional, stupid, much like the dark passenger. With that blatant forward charge she gave herself momentum, and that could be exploited.

Preferring to keep more distance between them, he leaped back with the assistance of the biomass. Upon landing he drove his hands into the ground. The left one appeared as a giant wall of biomass not too far in front of Cassandra, meant as a challenge for her to plow through.

The right one traveled deeper with no ripple in the concrete. Shortly before she reached the wall it would eject itself like a catapult under her while she was running. He knew if she had both feet planted she would be impossible to move. She was running at a full charge, however, which meant she would have one foot off the ground while running.

Gidget stepped out of the car and took pictures of the men. Using her mobile database access she found their driver's licenses.

She turned around to face them. "Well gentleman, I thank you for your courtesy. In appreciation of this I have just mailed cashiers checks to each of the addresses on your driver's licence. I hope fifty thousand dollars each is sufficient. Ciao."

The men were simply to taken off guard to respond properly.

As Cassandra rushed forward she saw the wall rise up. But she was not going to go through it. Who knows what Shane might have done with it. It might become soft upon impact and wrap around her...choking her. She wasn't going to risk that. There was another risk of doing what she was going to do. Increasing the power in her legs she leaped over it with a somersault. She came down upon Shane with her leg high in the air, striking down like an axe upon impact.

"You want Shane dead," Annie said, it wasn't a question more of a matter of fact. "And, I could make that difficult for you. I could probably kill you and your other half... but then again I am soft heart-ed. I don't particularly enjoy killing people. If I keep fighting you, you will keep using your human shield. That causes unnecessary casualties. And, say I did attack you directly, which I am contemplating, you could try to take control of me. It would be a matter of whether I could kill you first or you could take control of me first."

"It wouldn't be smart to make that sort of bet. At least I am not interested in it," Annie continued. "However, my power is more suited to killing Shane than either of yours. And, I am not stupid, he will have to be killed sometime, probably soon. I want to kill him. I can take him down with the least amount of casualties. However, I want some time. When he loses his mind, I promise to kill him. If you don't trust me come then come along with us."

Shane cursed and swiftly retracted his mass. Cassandra's acrobatics were unexpected and cut down his reaction window. He would have to adjust his plan somewhat.

Using a quick burst of biomass, he dahed forward a few feet where he could position himself behind Cassandra were she to land. He then reached up and snatched her leg that wasn't poised to cleave him in half. He followed through and swung her down face first into the pavement.

Right...there was that too. In the air she could be moved like any other. But Shane had made a mistake that he would have to pay for. Cassandra went down to the pavement. But right after that she pushed herself off the ground towards Shane and kicked him in the chest. By using that force plus the additional force from her own kick would surely do a lot of damage

"You are...is friend and yet you want to kill him?" Alexavier cocked his head. He could not understand that. Perhaps because he did not understand such terms as friends despite just using it." But...when?! WHEN?! We crave to kill him. We need to. But..perhaps...if you were to assist it would be easier. I am just not sure if....I like it. I mean him...she" Alexavier replied.

"I am not... I wouldn't call him my friend," Annie said solidifying, knowing that Alexavier wouldn't understand and probably never understand what she was going to say. "I love him. I don't want to kill him but I know I will have to. Besides my typical powers, I am also what Daedalus calls a 'sensor'. I can sense auras, whether they are good, evil, indifferent... it's complicated."

She took a deep breath, "I've been watching as Shane's mood has been darkening as we have gone on. If I don't kill him when he becomes a threat my son has already promised to kill him. I can't let my son become a killer. This is something I will have to do. I would rather put off killing him as long as possible, but..." she forced a smile, "you wouldn't agree to that now would you? Give me, us, two weeks tops. It will give us the time to accomplish saving his sister and me the time I need. If I deem he is too much of a threat before that, I will kill him then. I swear on my mother's grave."

Shane cried out in pain as his carapace once again failed to deflect the entire blow. It shattered as his chest caved in. He let go of her leg and was sent skipping across the pavement. He smashed through one sports car, and then a sedan before coming to a smashing halt. The hummer that finally stopped him wrapped itself around him from the impact.

Shane didn't move for a moment while the stunning realization that this girl could not be concussed sunk in. She took everything he threw at her in stride, but panicked when the biomass threatened to suffocate her. That's when Shane came up with a plan.

He continued to lay there while his biomass tunneled into the pavement below him.

Annie was right. Alexavier did not understand these emotions. Those two only experience different emotions when their personalities allows them to. Certain personalities traits remained though. Then again most personalities never stayed long.

"Why swear on the dead? What good is that to me? Swear on your son's life...or perhaps your own. That way we gain the right to take it if you do not uphold your end of the bargain." Alexavier seemed more cunning then before."Deals like this have high stakes. I shall give you the time and you shall kill him within 2 weeks." He had that grin on his face."Sounds fair no?"

Cassandra switched tactics. Shane might be incapacitated but who knew for how long? Jumping over to the car next to her she lifted it up and threw it at Shane in a straight line. Currently she was just as paranoid as Alexavier usually is. Attacks could come from anywhere! Can't stop moving. Won't stop moving. Cassandra would keep running from place to place.

Annie forced a smile, this half was cunning. Honestly, she considered backing out of the deal as soon as it was safe. She wanted to buy time and save as many innocent lives as possible. "No, not my son's life," Annie said. "He's not a part of the deal. I will not endanger his life if I am in the end too soft."

She took a deep breath, "In two weeks, I will ensure one way or another that Shane is dead. If Shane is still living in two weeks, I will allow you to kill me. No questions asked, no fighting back on my part. And, when Shane is dead you both will disappear. You promise that both of you will never cause havoc again, unless Daedalus tries to recapture y'all, of course."

Her brown eyes blazed, "Is that fair? You two can come along if you wish to keep watch on me and ensure that I stick to my part of the deal."

Shane needed more time to burrow deep enough. While the biomass in his back continued to work his right arm lashed out with a blade affixed to the end of it. It cleaved the car cleanly in two and it flew past either side of him, barely missing the hummer Shane was tucked into.

That's when the dark passenger began whispering in his ear again.
"The plan isn't bad, but it could be made better. We lack control of our separated constructs. The one inside controls alien beings with but a thought. We must have him. We must consume him."

Shane tried to ignore, but he couldn't. The possibility of a higher level of control than he had with Berchant was intriguing. But he had other matter to attend to first.

Alexavier thought about it for a few seconds but soon reached his conclusion.

"Very well. We shall accompany you. But please, try to keep Shane away from me. I cannot be absorbed but Alexavier can. Wait I AM Alexavier. Am I? Yes..I am. And who knows what were to happen if he did absorb me. Another being with exposure to pure radiation absorbed by another. I don't want to find out what happens."

Come back me. I....We are done here. A deal has been made. Return. Alexavier signaled Cassandra to return. Cassandra would feel compelled to do so.

Just as Cassandra was about to charge at Shane again she stopped dead in her tracks. Dropping her stance she seemed relaxed and ran back inside. Straight through the wall however.

"Do we really have to? Cassandra wanted to play with Shane some more." she said to Alexavier when she was in range. It was still strange the way these two spoke.
