Courtyard (South)

[Alef]

Alef looked over to the other guy standing with them. "It is kind of personal... Don't think me rude... I just, I'm not comfortable with sharing right now. That's all." She continued to smile if all but a little uneasily. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?"  

[The Action Hank]

Sora nodded, understanding what it's like to enter a totally new enviroment and area and feeling lost and confused by everything. "I can agree with that. I hope you get done whatever...well...you needed to get done." he said, trying to think of something to say. She was already preoccupied in conversation, so he sat back down on the fountain ledge and absorbed the scenery.  

[Alef]

While waiting for the other to reply she turned her attention back to Sora. "Yes, I'm happy to say that I did get everything taken care of in my absense from here." She smiled slightly. "Which leaves me with more time than I know what to do with..." Sitting down, she leaned back a bit. The bench was close enough to the fountain to still remain in conversation with Sora, but still close enough to the other person so that she could talk to him as well. "Care to tell me a little about yourself?"

Sora thought about all that he could say to her, without saying too much personal information. "Well, My name is Sora, and I've recently applied for the Ria. I've only had a few classes so far, but I can feel my strength and knowledge increasing. I came from a Shaolin Monestary from the western shores. And I only have a few friends." he said. He couldn't really think of anything else to tell her that would help her get to know him better. "Umm... I also like puppies?" he said, giggling at the end.  

[Alef]

Alef's smile brightened at the end of his description. She chuckled lightly and nodded. "I can safely agree that I too, like puppies." After her laughter had subsided, she figured she could return the favor and tell him a little about herself. "I come from a small village in the middle of a vast forest. There were several small villages around it, and it's been so long... I couldn't tell you the name of mine without perhaps confusing it with another. I've attended gaia for a year or so?" She said as a question almost, not having the thought to check up on everything since she returned. "I had a fair some of friends, and I'm wondering what happened to them all... I must say though... It is always nice to make new friends."

Sora nodded as she told her story of her beginnings, smiling. "They may have left or may still be hiding around on campus. I'm sure you'll meet them again. I gurantee it." he said, looking up at the trees. His attention came back down back to Alef. "And yes, it's always a pleasure to meet new friends. And I hope you'll give me the honor of being my friend." he said, blushing a bit.  

[Alef]

Alef nodded, she couldn't remember the last time she smiled this much. "I would love to be able to think of you as one of my friends. You are the first person I've talked to since my return." She nodded a little. "Thank you... I'm sure I will see them around somewhere." A gentle breeze brushed past, rustling some loose hairs about her face. "So, what are you studying?"

Sora smiled and nodded at her gesture of kindness. "Thank you very much. I bet you'll make more friends than anyone else here." he said, smiling. "Right now, there is a master of Shaolin Kung-Fu here, from a different monestary than my own. I'm studying with him. And as for my second major, I have been taking light manipulation. It's a difficult concept to grasp. Controlling the photons in rays of light and bending and moving them into techniques. But I'll get a hold of it eventually." he said, finishing his little ramble. "What about you? What classes are you taking?"  

[Alef]

Alef nodded a little bit. "It's easy to make friends if you are nice to people and don't catch them on an off day." She thought a moment. "I've been taking classes in elemental magic mostly. Like fire and things like that, but I am particular with a little healing. As for weapons... I have a broad sword, but I'm not too good with it. I'm supposed to start learning how to combine my magic with the weapon."

Sora watched as she spoke about her classes. After her mentioning of her broadsword, he looked down at it. It was a fine piece of craftsmanship. Very well made, and looked sturdy. "My master always told me not to use swords, because they could kill. That's why he made me practice with non-lethal weapons, like bo staffs and such." he looked down. "Sorry for trying to give a philosophy lesson there."  

[Mistress Rowan]

Rowan wandered through the courtyard, looking at the trees and smiling to herself as birds flew from one tree to another. Watching clouds pass by and enjoying the blue sky, she twirled around in a circle in the middle of the grass field. Hair wrapping around her, the emeralds on the net in her hair glimmered in the sun as she smiled and hopped into the air. Today's such a wonderful day, she thought to herself as she continued on to the fountain.

Sora turned around, spotting Rowan at the fountain again. He smiled and immediately tried to get her attention. "Rowan! Over here!" he said with a big smile on his face. He had not seen her since she left the dorms, and was excited to see her again.  

[Mistress Rowan]

Rowan turned at the sound of Sora's voice, her black dress flowing around her. Smiling she walked around the fountain a bit and sat down beside him. "Hello, Sora! How's your day so far?" she enquired, curious as ever. ((If you're at all curious, there's a description of what she's wearing in the girl's dorm. mrgreen ))

Sora was in awe of her dress. It was amazingly beautiful, and very elegant. He smiled and snapped back into focus. "Umm, it's been very good. Rather slow, but I met a few people today!" he said, excited at the thought of new friends. "Your dress is very beautiful, and your necklace is absolutely gorgeous. Just like you." he said, blushing a bit. All Sora had to wear is one tuxedo that his master gave him. Feeling a bit down, he looked back up and smiled, wider than ever.  

[Mistress Rowan]

Rowan blushed at his compliment. "All you seem to wear is a tuxedo, Sora. Do you not have anything less formal?" Tugging at his shirt playfully she smiled.
