Master and Slave

Hotaru shook her head as she took the invitation back and shoved it in her bag. "It's tonight." She told him. "And besides it's black tie and you know I don't have anything like that." She reminded him as she started walking home again. She also was uncomfortable in large crowds of people who would not only be criticizing her work but her.  

[Roccano]

Kai laughed.

"Well then, lets go shopping, im sure it will be fun to see what people have to say about your art."  

[SkieChan]

Hotaru winced. "No. No it won't." She said as she walked a bit faster. "Those people will pick apart my work and me with it." She insisted.  

[Roccano]

Kai smirked.

"I dont think they will, your work cant be anymore perfect then it is.
What would they say bad about it?"  

[SkieChan]

Hotaru shrugged. It didn't matter if there were something actually wrong with it or not. Her experience with people had taught her it didn't matter, they would find a way to tear it down, to tear her down and she got enough of that at school.  

[Roccano]

Kai laughed and then put both hands on each of her shoulders holding her in place.

"Hotaru, people receive criticism all the time.
You just have to deal with it and move on, believe me, I know, I was always ridiculed because I wasnt as evil or mean as the other demons."

Hotaru sighed and hung her head so that her hair fell in her face. Even with his attempt to make her hair more presentable she still managed to let it be messy. "You're going to make me go aren't you." She accused.  

[Roccano]

Kai smiled and nodded.

"Yes, I am, your going to go, and I am going with you."  

[SkieChan]

Hotaru groaned. "Then we'll have to get me a dress." She informed him, though she knew that was obvious. She turned and headed towards the mall as she pulled her book from her messenger bag and stuck her nose in it.  

[Roccano]

Kai smiled and nodded.

"Yes, we will, something red, or black.
Probably black....."

Hotaru rolled her eyes. They quickly made it to the mall and she took a moment from her book. "Which store first?" She sighed.  

[Roccano]

He looked around and saw a formal dress shop and smiled as he pointed at it.

"That one, definitely."  

[SkieChan]

Hotaru nodded and headed for it. The woman asked her for her dimensions and Hotaru looked to Kai. She hadn't been paying attention the last time and didn't know what they were.  

[Roccano]

Kai told them the dimensions and then smiled as they started searching through the dresses and pointed out the one he liked.

"I think that one would work."  

[SkieChan]

Hotaru let the lady put her in a dressing room and quickly tried it on. It wasn't as bad as the other dress he had shoved her into, but it was still less cloth than she was used to. She opened the door to let him see it, knowing he would tell her to anyways.
