More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Ako was starting to think of leaving the auditorium before he was noticed, no longer sure of why he was there. Should he tell her about the blackout? How it wasn't the first? He feared telling her. It would show weakness to the girl who used to look up to him. Worse, she might decide he needed help. He couldn't deal with head doctors. He could barely deal with regular doctors.

So if he wasn't going to tell her about the blackouts, why was he here? He was going to ask her if there was anything he could do outside. He couldn't stay inside like this for long.

As Gidget approached, he tried to think of what to say to her. His thoughts were distracted by the very sight of her, so different from that girl he knew so long ago. It struck him that she was no longer the girl who was a little sister to him, she had grown p to be a different woman. Maybe 'grown up' wasn't the right phrase, though. She's stopped growing long ago, instead building new bodies for herself. Indeed, she wasn't the little girl he once knew, she was merely her soul in a mechanical body. Ako could sense the electronics within her as she approached, the electricity coursing through the circuits and relays within her giving her a sort of aura he could almost see. It had quite an effect, but her warm smile had an even greater one, making him forget what he had decided to say to her.

"I did." He said in answer to her greeting. He wished his smile could be as sincere as hers, but it dropped as soon as the words left his mouth. "I needed to talk to you about something." He hesitated for a long moment, trying to decide what he wanted to speak to her about. He heard a laugh louder than most somewhere in the crowd, a blonde-haired girl laughing at something the firey-haired boy next to her had said. In the back of his mind, Ako recognized that he'd seen them somewhere before, but it wasn't important. The noise reminded him that there were other people around, people he wouldn't want to listen in on what he had to say.

"Maybe we should go somewhere more private, first. It's a little crowded in here." He said.

Gidget was concerned about Ako's apparent discomfort. The Ako she remembered was very confident and sure. If something was bothering him then it must be important.

"Sure thing. Just follow me and we can catch up."

She led Ako out of the busy auditorium and into a classroom that wasn't being used. She locked the door behind them and sat on the desk at the head of the class with her legs crossed.

She tuced her hair behind her ears and tilted her head to the side curiously.

"There we go, all alone. What's on your mind?"

Annie could sense the darkening of Shane's aura: she had to find time to talk to him in private. She should explain what was going on, including the fact she didn't plan to betray him, even his plan to return Gidget's soul to her true body.

Christian frowned at the exchange between his mother and Shane. He wasn't crazy about Shane in the first place but now he was distressing his mother. Shane didn't seem to have an ounce of affection for Annie as he ignored her. Sure, he understood his mom was hardheaded and quick to anger, but shouldn't Shane be showing some expression of affection for her.

Annie meanwhile took a deep breath at Alexavier's comment about their interesting dynamic. "Complicated," Annie corrected under her breath glancing out the van's window.

"So it seems" Alexavier could use this to his advantage some day. But he had to be careful. Both Annie and Shane could kill him in a flash. Meanwhile Cassandra was having fun playing pattycake with Gidget as her hair continued to change color every second.

Liv waved back at Larry with a smile. He was like the Hulk only....different. With her other hand she started petting Kerana's head. She just couldn't resist not doing that.

"Ah no his-...I'm sorry" Liv instantly apologized."I'm sorry I kind of..expected more..ya know..reptilian sounds...sorry"

Ako leaned on one of the student desks at the head of the class, taking a deep breath in and out. He thought about telling her both about the blackouts and his want of a job, but he realized now that telling her about the blackouts could make her tell him to see a doctor, who in turn might say he was unfit for work. He couldn't have that.

"Well, I was hoping to ask you about something to do. A job, a mission, something to get me out of this place for a little while. I know I could just go out for no reason, but i figured I might as well help out now that I'm back." He felt bad not telling her the real reason he'd wanted to speak to her privately, but he'd made a habit of lying in his absence.

Something had been eating at Shane for a little bit now. Something that could come in handy later if need be.

"So if you can control minds, why didn't you just paralyze me and have her beat me to a pulp?"

Internally Heather could feel her stomach twist in disappointment and hurt, but she maintained her pleasant demeanor and waved off Liv's comment. After all, it was a common question that she was asked.

"Oh no, don't worry about it. It's a common misconception. Iguana's don't actually hiss the way snakes do. I may look like something out of a scary movie, but I don't bite. Just your average iguana girl next door. Yup...that's me."

Finding this a good moment to be a troll brother, Larry leaned closer to Liv and whispered. "Crush." His eyes darted over to his sister and then back at Liv.

Heather stiffened up and her dewlap dropped. Her scales shifted color again and she rapped Larry in the thigh with her knuckles. After some delay he reached over and rubbed his thigh. "Ow."

Gidget read Ako's facial expressions and gestures as well as his vitals. She could tell he was hiding something.

"I think that can be accomplished. That is, it could be if you were completely honest with me. My eyes can see a lot more than most people think, and I can tell that you are either lying to me or hiding something. Both things are completely unnecessary around me. Whatever it is I promise I wont flip out."

Alexavier opened his mouth but stopped halfway. Yes..why didn't he do that? He didn't even consider that! Too focused on Annie! Damnit! Such a good chance and he didn't! Ahh well he can always do it later.

He closed his mouth with a sigh and looked down."I....forgot..." He sounded ashamed.

Crush what? Not me I hope.Liv thought to herself.

"I'm glad two of you get along. Kinda makes me wish my sister were still here."

((OOC: Damn currently bit of a writers block...even if when it comes to small things like this))

Annie turned surprised at Alexavier's confession and raised a brow. "Or maybe that is only what you would like to believe. People don't just forget to kill someone that they intend to kill unless they don't fully intend to kill them in the first place."

She smiled, "After all our deal isn't as good of a win as it could be for you if you really intended to kill Shane and did not care about who died in the process to get to him. Maybe you didn't really want to kill Shane. Or maybe you felt that it wasn't worth the potential casualties to take him down yourself. Of course I could be assuming your logic follows the logic of others."

Still smiling a large smile, almost glowing with warmth, she added, "Don't worry though, I will stick to my end of our deal unless you ever decide to step out of it."

Shane smiled at Annie's assessments. Slowly his old self was starting to come through again.

"Well it's probably better that you "forgot" anyway. You may not like what you see if you take a peek in my head."

Indeed he wouldn't, Shane thought to himself. To know the dark passenger is to stare into the soul of the abyss.

Heather's laughing came out exuberant and incredibly nervous. "HAHAHA, yea that's us. We get along great. He makes funny jokes about me liking girls and I slug him. That's our dynamic!"

Larry looked down at her and was about to say something else, but he was cut short by another jab from his sister. He slowly rubbed that spot again. "Quit."

Heather's hands constantly fidgeted with themselves as she spoke. "Of course that's not to say that it couldn't be possible to have a crush on you. I mean you're so pretty and your eyes with the hair and OHLOOKI'MSTILLTALKING! HAHAHA."

Kinda creeping me out now..... Luckily that cute fox girl stepped in.

Liv gave Kerana a good big hug. "Naw I used to have a cat and she liked that. But I thought I've shown you what I can do yesterday?" Liv let go of Kerana and twirled around. Glitters of light swirled around her as she did.

"I have full control of over light aaaaand I can regenerate."
