Courtyard (South)

Eri wandered around the courtyard silently. The peacfulness of the night soothed her so. She kept in the shadows making her seem like an alluring presence in the darkness. Eri loved the night. It was just part of her nature to spend most of her time wandering for hours, hidden by the shadows that danced among the objects around.

Ronan also walked among the shadows of the night, his eyes downcast and face sad. The night...the day...time now was a pointless routine. He was no more at home in the darkness then he was in the light. CLutching a weathered book close to his side, he made for a quiet corner and sat...opening the ink splotched book to begin writing...his sharp eyes needing no light to see the pages in front of him.

Riiko yawned as she walked along the stone pathway from her dorm, she had been up late last night with Mikhail and Rowan. Plus she felt like she hadn't slept in days, therefore a cup of coffee was postioned in her small hands. She had her long hair tied in a messy bun, strands in the front falling out and cherry chopsticks placed in it, making the combination go well with her dark black hair. She wore a bright red top with the symbol for love in japenese in black on it. A short black mini skirt was on her legs along with a pair of tie-up red boots. She sighed as she sat on a bench under a large tree and drinked her coffee which was mostly made up of sugar.

He saw Riiko sitting under a tree and walked over to her. "Hey Riiko." He sat down and kissed her cheek. "Last night was fun, wasn't it." He looked at Riiko, then up at the clouds, then back at her. "You should lay off the coffee, it is very very bad for you."

Riiko turned her head as she saw Mikhail sitting down, she glared at him for a minute but then quietly poured the coffee out. She sat in silence for a few mintues just staring up at the clouds letting the sun beam down on her face. "I got a message from my father's advisor last night"was what she said to break the silence. She reached down and pulled a wrinkled peice of paper from her boot handing it to him. She had already memorised it word by word as she went through it in her mind.

Riiko, you know as well as I do that you can't run from your past. You know that we would find you again, Ria high school was the first place we looked. Your past has not died out, your memorys will always be with you, were coming to pick you up tomorrow, so be ready. Oh and Riiko don't run away, we still have Rini with us dear, besides its very unbecoming of a run away princess dear.
Riiko looked at the ground while she talked "I got that letter yesturday so they are coming today..."she said.

He nodded "What are you going to do?" He looked at Riiko sorrowfully. "If they come to take you away, I'll go with you." He looked at the note and read it. "Who's Rini? What's going on Riiko?" He held her hands in his, he didn't want to let go of her. Not here, not now.

Riiko looked into his bright green eyes, the eyes that she had slowly fallen in love with. She shook her head holding back the stray tears that tried to fall from her blue and green eyes. "Rini is my sister, well she's not biological or anything but she's like my sister, we were best friends and always will be"she said as she looked at a small heart marking on her hand. A memory flashed through her mind as she saw Rini crying because Riiko had to go. Rini Is only 10 so she was very distraght, Riiko walked over to her.
"Hey why are you crying?"she asked as she nelt down beside her smiling as best she could.
"Because your leaving!!!"Rini said as she looked at her with her inoccent brown eyes. Riiko thought for a minute as she found a small knife in a drawer and walked back.
"Be brave, and don't worry I'll never forget you, I'll come back" Riiko said as she made a small cut in her hand in the shape of her heart and did the same to her own hand. Riiko went back to reality again as she looked at Mikhail "I'm sorry but you can't come..."she said.

He felt the heart in her hand. "I see." He kissed Riiko on the cheek. "I don't want to lose you, but you must do what you have to do. I'll stay with you until they come." He lay his head on her shoulder. Ah, how much things can change over the course over a day. He closed his eyes, and a single tear fell from his eye, and onto the heart on her hand. He pulled a crystal out of his pocket. It was warm, very. He put it in his hand, and seared hsi flesh. It quickly cooled down, nad he put it in Riiko's hand. The small crystal fit into the center of the heart perfectly. "I love you Riiko."

She looked into his eyes, silence followed for moments and then she stiffled the sound that followed. Tears started falling from her eyes like raindrops just continuing to fall in numbers. She never wanted to leave him, she knew what would happen when she was brought back, she would be married. She continued to look at him and kissed him deeply never wanting to let go as the tears continued to flow down her closed eyes.

He held her close. He knew what would happen to her when she returned. "It's okay Riiko. I know you love me, and no matter what, I know you will, always." Some tears fell from his eyes, and he kissed her again. "I'll find you, and I'll save you, and Rini too." He cryed a litle more and held her close.

Riiko wanted to stay in his arms forever but knew that this moment wouldn't last long. She looked up as she saw a man dressed in a black suit with sleek jelled back hair and bright red eyes approching. She hugged Mikhail for a second longer "Never forget..."was what she said as the man physically pulled her away. "Come now dear, its time to go home, say goodbye to your friend"he said. Riiko looked at Mikhail and then was pulled away to walk with the man, she turned her head around once more and looked at Mikhail before dissapering behind a corner.

He tired to get up but knew it would be of no use. Riiko was gone. He held his hand out to her as she rounded the corner once more. Then he stood up and ran after them, realizing something. He wrote something on a piece of paper and slid it into the back of Riiko's dress in his mind. He paused shortly behind them to walk he put his hand on the mans shoulder. "May I speak to Riiko one last time before you take her away?" The man nodded, and he turned to Riiko. He whispered to Riiko. "I left you a note in your dress. Follow it's instructions as soon as you find your friend."

Riiko looked at him oddly but nodded her head as the man continued to pull her away. She turned around once more as she walked away looking at Kaz and then she dissapeared behind the Ria high gates. 'I wonder what he means' she thought as she watched her school in the background and then sighed turning back to the cold man. ((Okay I'm going to post in the off campus forum))

Strolls into the southern end of the courtyard, his palm brushing across his pants, the sugar glider quite happily perched on his shoulder as it munched on a piece of fruit. His eyes gazed about slowly, inspecting the area like he had the one before..
