"No problem." Deora said with a smile as she walked out of the bathroom, holding the door for Heather. "You didn't go too far, fortunately, or I might have gotten lost myself. And I wouldn't worry about you're brother, Kerana and that other woman probably have him pretty well distracted."

Heather stepped through the doorway and out into the main hall. Her hands fidgeted as she thought about how best to ask the next question she had in mind.

"Do you know much about Liv? Like, does she have a boyfriend...or anything like that?"

Ako was glad Gidget hadn't told him to see a doctor, or forcefully sent him to one, but it didn't seem like she was really concerned. He shrugged the worry aside, though. Maybe it was for the better that she didn't care. Maybe it wasn't something to worry about. The offer of work, or anything to get him outside, sounded good, though. "Do you have any idea of what she needed?" He asked.

Gidget shook her head and responded, "No, but it has to be important if she asked to see me at my lab and not come to me after the introduction. If it has anything to do with Shane then she will need all the help she can get. Follow me."

Gidget led Ako to her lab. The scanners read her internal code and allowed access for the both of them. She spotted Trinity watching the monitors. Sure enough her brother was on them along with some new faces she didn't recognize.

"Trinity, you remember Ako. What're we looking at here?"

Shane took a breath and whispered, "I may have an idea or two, and I can assure you that you wont object."

He cradled her jaw tenderly with his hands and pressed his lips to hers. He had enough with the banter and wanted only her now.

Annie's blush brightened as his words and her eyes widened when he began to kiss her before she closed her eyes. While she had kissed more people than she could count on both hands, she had always been one to draw a very dark line when it came to romantic relations. Annie was honest when she admitted to planning on seducing Shane when she came of age, but now she was unsure of herself. She had said she was pinning the responsibility of their relationship on him, but was she really? She didn't like giving up her control of a situation.

Taking a deep breath she pulled him onto the bed with her. She closed her eyes as she leaned in to kiss him, her mind was racing no matter how she tried to shut down her analytical. Pushing him away wasn't an option, she had already made her decision. She pushed away the tears she wanted to cry as she could feel her heart breaking. This was probably going to be the last chance she would have to have just Shane to herself, she didn't want to ruin the moment for either of them with her insecurities.

Realizing that her happily ever after was probably never going to come but she could have a happy moment, she shed her fears. Feeling herself turn bright red she reached for Shane's belt.

"Questions..yes questions. That girl...that..empty girl. Just what are they trying to do with her?" Alexavier asked. Sure he could just invade the boys mind but if his mother ever found out she would kill him. Not that she would but just to be on the safe side he didn't.

Liv slid of the bulking man's arm. "Play? I'm not sure what we can do here for fun." Liv said as she looked around. And I don't even know what you do for fun.

"Gidget? Or I suppose it is Gidget's body," Christian said frowning. "She's Shane's sister. Apparently her soul is trapped or something in a 'machine'. Shane wants to return his sister's soul to her real body. Mom doesn't agree entirely. Mom is really moral or at least was, she believes things like souls shouldn't be messed with. But she loves Shane and will do anything to make him happy. They keep trying to see each other as the people they were when they first met."

"Shane's changed and so has Mom, but they love each other," Christian said, frowning. "From what I can tell love doesn't make anyone happy. Mom keeps looking for a happily ever after with Shane, but she knows it won't happen and thinks that neither of them deserve it. Both of them are desperate, and no matter how much they love each other, it comes down to the fact that they are only using each other." He shrugged, "That is what I think, at least. I won't pretend to know what they are really thinking."

On the monitors a reporter appeared and began reporting about the scene. She was a tall blonde woman who was pretty, though her age was beginning to show with a few well hidden wrinkles around her eyes. She had a perfect unchanging smile as she began, "Daisy Sun on the scene reporting for Knoxville News. Some one hundred miles from Knoxville has been an incident of an attack between four very dangerous individuals. The two terrorists- Shane Morris and Annabella Soulsmith- responsible for the attack on a government agency in North Dakota, confronted two unknown young adults. All witnesses on the scene do not have memories of the incident, though security cameras report there was a water line break and over $20,000 worth of damage to the store."

"Experts stress that whatever you do, do not approach any of these individuals as they are highly dangerous." She added as if she didn't buy the story she was reporting, "They are armed and dangerous. Well, I'll send it back to you at the studio, Mr. Arnolds. We'll keep you posted about the situation."

She smiled her flawless smile before it faltered before the cameras shut down, she muttered, "I hadn't thought those two would have been capable of something like this, though..." Daisy Sun wasn't stupid and she had a good memory, she remembered Annie confronting the man who had taken the purple haired girl under his wing, but despite her powers she had appeared relatively non-violent. And Shane, wasn't he the useless man who that girl had a crush on. She shook her head, accepting a bottle of water from one of the camera men. She had decided a long time ago to wash her hands of these odd incidents and even Knoxville, but she stayed even when she had better opportunities elsewhere. Glancing at her cellphone she wondered if she should contact Valhalla, there was a lot of the incident that she knew about that she wasn't allowed to report, such as the fact that with Shane and Annie were a young boy and a young woman who looked suspiciously like an older version of the girl who had died in the attack by Leviathan. As she drank the water, she sighed, trouble, it never failed she always seemed to find it especially when it came to those 'freaks' of Knoxville, the meta-humans.

As Daisy Sun finished her report she turned that one off and referred to what the security cameras captured, played in a loop in relation to the incident.
"Hey Ako, looks like you came just in time...

Well Ms. Daisy Sun pretty much summed up what happened. It looks like Shane and Annie are involved but not the ones who started it. They seem to be up against these two other metas... they may be brother and sister considering how similar they look in their faces. I have not found them yet in the database but judging on what is captured here, my guess is that she's physically very strong, a Type 1 Class B and the other one can control the minds of other people a Type 3 Class B. There were a couple of deaths one of which was a puddle."

"Friends with benefits. Until one kills the other that is. Morality only works if you care about effects of your actions. " Alexavier said with a shrug. He couldn't care less. It was obvious he didn't Sure he had made a deal with Annie but if she dies before then..too bad. As long as Shane eventually dies. Thinking about his death made Alexavier...happy somehow. Though he didn't understand it himself why he should kill Shane only that he must do so. But why? It's more trouble then it's worth so why would he really? It was like a command that was engraved in his mind. Which was strange in itself since he is a true master of the mind.

Theonis came to the conclusion that he was bored. Normally he would have found something to pass the time with but he didn't feel like doing anything at all. In fact he actually missed Trinity. But did he miss her or did he miss the fooling around with her? The latter, was a good way to pass the time. But he realized he felt...kind of lonely now that she wasn't around. Where the hell did his enthusiasm about his powers go to? Looks like he had to find some new motivation and his new glance at Larry did just the thing. Was there even a way to remove bad side effects from mutations? Realizing he knew only a little about genetics he figured it was time to hit the books. He went to the library to study up and enjoy his abnormal learning ability.

" 'Friends with benefits'?" Christian asked unsure of the term. "You mean like how Mom teamed up with Shane so that she could save me from Daedalus and Dad. And you don't know Mommy like I do. She cares about the effects of her actions, that is why she isn't happy. She's had to do things and chose things that make her really unhappy."

He frowned, "You don't care what happens to Mommy, do you? All you care about is Shane dying. How about I make a deal with you? Mom already promised to ensure Shane is killed, but I will offer you something else. I- I will grant you one other wish if you promise to protect my mother. I'm really smart, and I can change the molecular structure of any liquid, and I can sense anyone's emotions. If you have any use for my talents I will help you if you help keep my mother safe. But you can't tell Mommy about the deal. She won't forgive me."

"I will....think about it Christian. I will." Alexavier said as he looked at Christian. This child was...amusing. Smart but still a child when it came down to mommy. Mommy Mommy MOMMY! He couldn't remember who his mother was. But those words echoed in his mind now. "Though it would be nice to have someone keep Shane off of me when Annie is not around"

Christian smiled eagerly, "You are really worried about Shane, aren't you? You can control people, so shouldn't you be able to just control him too? Then again Dad was able to manipulate Mom's and my emotions, but he couldn't really control Shane's. Of course he wasn't as experienced as he could have been, and he was hiding that he was meta-human, and Mom is really emotional. Maybe Shane thinks different than the rest of us?"

"But, Mom or I could take down Shane fairly easy, the biomass is after all biological. Right acid and down he goes," Christian said. "That's why you wanted to team up with Mom, because while you and your sister could probably bring Shane down eventually, it would be really hard to do."

He frowned and added, "But it doesn't make sense, if you couldn't control Shane, why not make Mommy or even me take Shane down for you? Even if we hated you forever for doing it, it is not like that should matter to you. Maybe Mom is right and you are a better person than even you think you are."

Gidget's brow twitched as she approached the monitors. Her mind was taking in all of the images at once.

"That mind taker used them like shields against Annie. Augh! Did you see the way she knocked Shane across the parking lot?! Oh man...oh no."

She hadn't expected them to show up so soon. The second stage of Acula's pure meteor radiation project.

"Trinity, I think I know what those two are. And if I'm right we need to tread carefully around...who are those two?"

Gidget had interrupted herself to point out the small child leading around a woman with long brown hair.

"Hmmm... the child I suspect is Annie's son... but... the other..." she zoomed in on that part, and enhanced the image as best she could. She noticed that the hair reminded her of one of Gidget's models. Trinity was introduced to Gidget when she was in one of her battle mechs. She was completely bald at the time and she remembered there was some mentioning about pink hair. She never saw Gidget with a full head of hair... at least not until she built a body that would look like her now. She took a look at that model and found a certain ...resemblence? "Do you recognize her? I'm not sure if I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing or my mind is playing tricks on me. There doesn't seem to be enough info in the frame there to know for certain..."

Shane lifted himself and allowed Annie to finish her task. He twisted his body and lay her down beside him.

Shane had often fantasized about what his first time would be like. He had never imagined it would be like this, with her. He knew at that time she would be his first and his last. He cherished and savored the moment, taking his time and being as tender and passionate as he could.

While Annie treasured the moments and feelings, what she truly treasured was the fact for the first time she hadn't felt the dark presence weighing on Shane's mind and spirit. As they separated Annie whispered almost breathless, "If I knew that was all it took to get you back to who you were, I would have acted on impulse a long time ago."

She turned away from him feeling the blush on her cheeks still remaining, trying to calm herself she studied the scars on her arm. Her finger running down the long scar from the meteor shower that had changed her life and probably not for the better. "I know," she muttered, closing her eyes, "It won't last. But for the moment I am going to pretend that this feeling will never end. The feeling of being safe and treasured..."
