Ok, been a while for some movie news, though there has not been much to report lately. Most of what I found today is production picture releases. Let's start with the good one.
Transformers: With less then a week away, (2 days in fact) they released a bunch of picturs for everyone to enjoy. Here are two links from Screenrant to 2 seperate photo releases. Set 1 & Set 2 (from last week). The first set will be the final production release until the movie comes out.
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland: The plot was now been released as it now seems that this will be a sequal to the original story.
comingsoon.net The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember. With this, they also released soom weird photos of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway as well as some concept art for a couple of scenes. You can look at the pics here. Alice is set for a March 5, 2010 release and also stars Michael Sheen, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman.
Spiderman 4: Not sure if anyone cares about this, as it's not really that importent an update, but Michael Papajohn (he played the carjacker that killed Uncle Ben in the first Spiderman) says he is to reprise his role of Uncle Ben's killer for Spiderman 4. It's set for a May 6, 2011 release.
That's all I could find for now. Enjoy Transformers Week!!!!!!!

First of all, I want to say this. Rest in Peace Mollie Sugden. Mollie Sugden played Mrs. Betty Slocombe on the BBC show "Are You Being Served?". She died at the age of 87 on July 1st.
Now, on to the small movie updates.
M. Night Shayamalan’s The Last Airbender Still a year away from this movies release, yet word has come down the wire that Mr. Shayamalan is already beginning production of the second movie for a Last Airbender Trilogy. Read the article here. Also, the tease poster is now out and online. Look at it here.
Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel The second trailer for Alvin has now come out. I liked the first one and this one looks pretty good as well. This one give us our first look at Chipettes; Brittany (Anna Faris), Jeanette (Christina Applegate) and Eleanor (Amy Poehler).
Thor Ok, here's an Update to Marvels Thor. The Rumor is that Jessica Biel is in talks to play Thor's love interest. You can read the article here.
Iron Man 2 I'll finish this round of movie news with a little story from the set of Iron Man 2.
Cinemablend …apparently an extra was injured while filming a robot scene in some fashion. Unfortunately no one noticed, except Robert Downey Jr. who their sources say, “Robert, who wasn’t in the scene, suddenly noticed one extra twisting in pain and moaning.” The story goes that Robert then ran across the set, charged into the scene braving rampaging robots while yelling “Cut! Cut!” to save the extra.
Apperently, the extra's were wearing real steel costums and not plastic ones that can be made to look real. One extra accedently hit another extra and only RDJ saw the second extra in pain (he must not have been in a good camera angle).
Also, not sure if I posted this or not, but here is our first look at Mickey Rourke as Whiplash from Iron Man 2. Don't want to say this, but he's kind of creepy in this costume.
Well, that's all I have for now. Enjoy.

Ok, so we have some more movie news.
Iron Man 2 We have two Iron Man updates today. Here's the first one. MTV did a interview with Samuel L. Jackson. When asked if Nick Fury would become a combat fighter in Iron Man 2 or just someone pulling strings, he replied;
Samuel L. Jackson “Not this time, not yet… We still haven’t moved Nick Fury into the bad-a** zone. He’s still just kind of a talker.”
The second update is Tony Stark's Iron Man 2 GP Racer.
comingsoon.net This is the Stark Industries-sponsored vintage race car that the movie's main protagonist — genius inventor and swashbuckling lady's man Tony Stark — will be driving in a scene that depicts him racing in the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, a vintage race held in Monte Carlo. The scene is not being filmed on the actual streets of the tiny, glamorous seaside principality near the south of France, but on an elaborate set that replicates the Monaco circuit.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles He have a small update on how they attend the story and filming to be on the new Ninja Turtles live action movie. basicly, it's going to be an origins story, with a bit darker plot line. They want the turtles to be living, not "Gollumed", whatever that means. This comes from 300 and Superman Returns producer Scott Mednick. Read the interview here.
WTF????????????? Now for the WTF category, we already heard (if I posted them) that Hollywood has run out of idea's and are making boardgames and toys into movies (Monopoly, Quiji, Candy Land, Battleship, and Stretch Armstrong). Now we have two more to add to this category. They are turning the old Atari game, Asteroids into a movie. If you don't remember Asteroids, it had no story. It was just a ship shooting giant asteroids. It sounds like a fun movie.
Now the other WTF movie is, get ready for this....
...
...
...
View-Master. Thats right. View Master. The little eye glass that lets you see pictures in 3D, usually story book pictures. Read the announcement here.
That's all for now.

He said, "We're going to shoot 'Pirates 4' in April and May of next year," Aviv told us during our interview. "We are going to release it hopefully in 2011 is the plan." He said that this time they would only be doing one movie this time that would "hopefully be the first of another trilogy."

"What would you do if you were given a glimpse of the future? Would you accept what you saw and live life to its fullest, or would you do everything in your power to change your destiny? In "FlashForward," when the world's population is given a glimpse of their future, it forces everyone to come to grips with whether their destinies can be fulfilled or avoided."
Toy Story 3 - It was comfermed at Comic Con that Micheal Keaton will voice "Ken" in the movie and that Barbie will return for a bigger role. ALso that all the "original" cast will return to voice their characters.

Some more movie news for everyone.
First: Futurama - I heard this a while back, but forgot to post it. Just when Fox gets your hopes up about a new season, they dash our hopes about it being good. The cast tried to band together (like the cast of Friends and The Simpons did) to get a group raise, only to get fired. Fox is recasting the entire list of characters. Maybe the writing can overcome this little disaster.
Green Hornet - Channel News Asia is reporting that Taiwanese singer Jay Chou has been snagged by Columbia Pictures to replace actor Stephen Chow as The Green Hornet’s sidekick, Kato (charater made famous by legendary Bruce Lee). He will star with Nicolas Cage and Seth Rogen.
Iron Man 2 - Footage from San Diego Comic-Con's Iron Man 2 panel has leaked online. Click here to watch about a five minute clip/teaser/trailer. Warring, it was taken with a cell phone, so it's not that good.
HALO - After a lot of set backs (no funding or studio willing to touch this popular game franchise. it's instant death to the studio that screws this one over), it looks like this is finally on track again. First, Jerry Bruckheimer was called Producer, then Peter Jakson was too produce it, and now, get ready for this........
..................
.....................
Here's the quote
IESB IESB has learned exclusively (believe me this is solid and I've confirmed it three times over with studio executives and our close ties to CAA) that one of the biggest producers in Hollywood history is currently in active negotiations to develop the feature film adaptation and no it's not Jerry Bruckheimer or Peter Jackson. It's the man behind Jaws, E.T., Indiana Jones and Transformers, Mr. Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is blown away by writer Stuart Beattie's take on the game in his script entitled HALO THE FALL OF REACH. This coupled with the fact that his Dreamworks umbrella is looking for a big tent pole to help launch their newly independant studio with distribution over at Walt Disney Pictures after losing Transformers to Paramount in the separation, it's the perfect combination.
Their basing the movie off this book: which I have read and loved it. Follow Master Chief John, Spartan 117 as he goes from Training to full battle against the rebels to fighting the Covenant. Great book and a good starting point for a movie franchise into the Halo universe (as it's a prequel for the first game.).
That's it for movie news for now.
