Nevin placed his head in Koga's lap happily, eying the man. I dare you, his look said, come closer. See if these teeth are just for show or not. He licked Koga's wrist (he'd already discovered that the gloves didn't exactly taste good) and barked once. He felt like going for a walk, anywhere to get away from the annoying milkman.

The beach, he thought, hoping Koga would catch on. The beach sounds nice. Let's go.

Lucy sighed and pulled him back up, looking at him. "You're annoying now. Stop it. Fight with me or something. Pin me on the bed and have your dirty way with me. Come on, this is getting to be a little too much sugary sweetness."

"Well, I'll see you around," Koga said awkwardly, honestly hoping he wouldn't, "I think he's itching for a walk..."

Patting his leg, Koga gestured for Nevin to follow. He didn't have an particular place in mind, but where ever the dog took him, he'd follow. "Thanks, boy." Maybe he was being paranoid, but he felt the milkman was starting to be alittle stalkerish.

Thinking on it, how long had it been since they'd slept together? Too long. Being sick didn't exactly put him in the mood unfortunately. Grabbing his 'happy' pills, Gabe tossed them out the open window and shrugged.

"There ya go," he said, "problem solved."

Nevin happily walked along. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been so happy. He trotted his way toward the beach, turning and barking happily at Koga. Oh god, I love you, he thought. However, the idea of turning human for him didn't occur to him. He'd spent most of his life like this. Any other way felt strange.

Lucy frowned. "That's not what I meant, idiot. Now you're going to feel all sick again." He cracked his neck and sighed, then flopped back on the bed. "I don't even know any more."

"The beach," he said, "that's where we're going?" Rolling up his sleeves, Koga started running, obviously wanting to race. He didn't think he'd win, but atleast he was enjoying himself.

He fell against the sand, breathing heavily. "That was fun."

Ban tackled Dorian into the waves, giggling with delight as she wrestled with him. Grabbing fistfuls of sand, she shoved them down his trunks and ran away. "Lisa, Lisa, he's gonna get me!"

Tokka was lounging beside Trigger, he'd already removed his shirt, something he seldom did around the family because of his cutting. He arched suggestively, knowing Clover was nearby, the muscles beneath his skin rippling with invitation. (XD)

"Mom," he said, "I don't think dad's liking the beach very much."

Zero was cuddled near Kelokye and Dante, borrowing the shade of Kelokye's parasol in an attempt to shield himself from the sun. He hadn't been out there long and already his skin was beginning to resemble a tomatoe.

Nevin pounced on Koga, barking happily and licking his face. He didn't notice the contents of the Shop spilled out behind them. He was too preoccupied.

Meanwhile, Dorian lunged at Ban, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into the water. Lisa stayed contentedly wrapped about Legato's head, her bikini-clad boobs pressed against the back of his head. Trigger tried to ignore the nagging thought that all of her children were grown and attached--except for Logan, of course, but that wasn't really a surprise.

Clover and Logan had both joined Zero and Kelokye under the parasol. The little vampire wore a black one-piece, a large-brimmed sun hat, and ridiculously large sunglasses.

"Uh, guys?" he said. "Can we back off a little? There's barely enough room for me, let alone the rest of you."

Clover frowned. She was too busy frowning to notice Tokka. "This is hell," she muttered. "Has to be."

"Aramis," Froot Loop asked, "This isn't hell, is it?" The faery certainly didn't think so as he straddled Aramis' hips and massaged sun lotion onto his chest, arms, and neck.

"Help, help!" Taboo cried, "I'm being kidnapped!" A crab had gotten the tiny doll and was scuttling towards the water. "Curse you, Trigger! Curse yyyyooooouuuuu!"

Koga laughed, wrestling Nevin into the sand. Spotting a stick, he grabbed it and stood, tossing it down the beach. "Fetch."

"Mama," Tokka said, "I'm teaching my girlfriend to swim." Effortlessly, he tossed Clover onto his shoulder and hurried towards the water, splashing in besides Dorian and Ban.

Dante chuckled. "It's nice, don't you think? They're happy." He nuzzled Kelokye's neck, nibbling occassionally. "Are you?"

Aramis smiled, rather enjoying the hands running over his already-tan torso. "Oh, yes. Very hellish. So hellish I think I might be stuck here forever."

Logan saw Taboo and sighed, tentatively stepping out from under the umbrella. When he didn't die, he calmly walked over and picked Taboo up, then carried her back to his tiny haven. "You really shouldn't have come," he said. "There are dogs around that might think you're a chew toy." He didn't recognize Nevin at all.

Clover, still in regular clothes, halfheartedly smacked at Tokka, looking petrified. "I know how to swim you idiot I just really don't like to."

Kelokye nodded, shrugging. "Yeah, I guess. Why wouldn't I be?"

Nevin eagerly chased after the stick, but this time, he couldn't miss them. They were all there. Normally, that wouldn't bother him, but Tokka would see him. Tokka knew. He couldn't put his new life in danger this way. He quickly turned back and ran to Koga, whining. Please, let them not have seen me.

"Mmhmm." Froot Loop kissed him slowly, his fingers tracing every muscle, circling each n****e. "I think I'll survive. Barely."

"I'm sorry, Logan." Taboo cuddled against his neck, hiding her face. "Its just," she began, "I wanted to spend time with you."

"Should've known...stupid nature. I'm just waiting for a seagull to swoop down and take me." She eyed the sky cautiously.

Tokka, however, had spotted Nevin. "That's..." Setting Clover into the water, he excused himself and hurried down the beach. It had just occured to him that he hadn't seen Nevin for days.

"What's wrong, boy?" Koga asked, scratching his chin.

"Nevin," Tokka called, "Where've you been?"

Logan blushed, and not from the sun. "Well, you could have just said something," he said, smiling just a bit. "I would have stayed home. I don't really like the beach."

While Clover raged about now being soaked, Nevin tried to ignore Tokka, instead pushing Koga, trying to nudge him away. He hoped Tokka might think he was mistaken, that he wouldn't try to talk any more. He just wanted to go home and snuggle up with Koga, pretend this had never happened. Maybe it hadn't. Maybe it was a nightmare.

"I'm not liking the beach either." Taboo sighed, drawing tiny circles on Logan's neck with her hand. "Did you bring a book? I could read it to you..."

"His name's Nevin?" Koga asked. He paused, his fingeres going still in Nevin's fur. "I-Is he yours?"

Tokka would've answered yes, but then he saw Nevin's expression. Hell, it had taken him till this moment to realize he'd been missing. Scratching his side, Tokka said, "No, but I've heard people call him that. He's a good boy. Treat him right."

"I will."

"Good to see you again, Nevin," Tokka said, "be happy." Grinning, he hurried back to Clover, knocking her back into the water with a laugh.

Logan pulled a small book out of his pocket, no larger than Taboo herself. "Here you go," he said. He'd had it made for her, but would never admit to it.

Nevin blinked a few times, confused. He'd just gotten away with it. He could go ahead and live with Koga and everything would be okay--

"Nevin?" Trigger came bounding over, kneeling beside him. "Hey, hey guy, where have you been?" She looked at Koga, then back at Nevin. "I'm going to guess you didn't see any of the flyers or anything, huh?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 04, 2010 1:17 pm
"It's me sized! I've never seen a me sized book before!" Tucking the book underneath her arm, Taboo climbed to his shoulder, perching herself beside his ear. "Thank you, Logan." Then, she began to read to him.

"Flyers?" Koga frowned, eyes downcast. "Didn't see them." He recalled a couple days ago. The missing dog flyer he'd torn up.

"I'm guessing you'll wanna take him back?"

Logan smiled and listened, even though he'd read it before. In fact, he'd written it. But, again, he would never admit to it.

Trigger pursed her lips and took Nevin by the face. She sighed and gave him a hug, tearing up a little, then pulled away to kiss his head.

"No, take him, please. We probably couldn't give him a very good home. Too much goes on to give him enough attention." She smiled and stood, then walked away.

Nevin watched her for a minute, then suddenly ran toward her, shifting as he went, until he wrapped his arms around her in a hug.

"You do care!" he said, sniffling.

"Who the ******** are you? Agh, get off!" she shouted back.

"N-Nevin, you've changed..." It suddenly made sense. Every conversation where he'd thought the dog could understand. Apparently, he really had. The shock was making it difficult. How was he supposed to react to this? Sitting down, he allowed the sand to drift between his fingers, deep in thought.

Nevin hadn't even realized what he'd done until it was too late. He let go of Trigger and looked at Koga, biting his lip.

"Oh god, I--oh god." He backed off a few steps, then turned and ran.
